This controversy has virtually been talked up for a week now. Masi duly obliged. He has history.

Lewis was robbed. Geri (Horner) looked gorg. And George is. Who will be first to win an F1 GP George or Lando? My money is on Russell, who will make the most of driving for Mercedes, as he so nearly did once before.
  3. I had mine stolen a few months ago, but in a different manner that was partly my own fault. I'd taken it to a local promenade for a healthy hour and because I ended up a bit exhausted I just, as often, rested it against the back of the car in order to have half an hour's recovery listening to Woman' Hour. This particular time, I drove off home without putting the bike in back in the car. I didn't notice it until I got home, five minutes away, quickly drove back only to be too late. No bike lying beside the kerb It took about ten minutes for some b-gger to pounce. I hope you retrieve yours. If you don't, you'll likely spend the next few weeks inspecting every bicycle you pass. I did.
  4. "Were?" Do you, mean "are?" My opinion wouldn't matter, the Immigration Office sets the rules which, I should imagine, wouldn't differ much from those of any other country and which usually start with eliminating people with a criminal record. The one time I needed a visa to work abroad I had to provide proof of qualifications and proof of employment as well. I think insurance of some sort was also required. (Even for a tourist visa beyond just one month in many countries proof of funds, medical insurance and the ongoing ticket are usually needed ,even though you can be as desirable as is possible.) All pretty obvious really, and designed to protect the interests of the country you are travelling to, whether it be for work, settlement or pleasure.
  5. I'm getting into golf as my friend is a keen player. He's promised to take me to the family golf centre one day. Is there crazy golf there? I'm good at that. I got a hole in one in Yarmouth once, and that was before I bought the ticket. Seriously this competition is big, they all talk of little else, after City talk that is. I'm looking forward to it. What's a Padraig?
  6. That player Brighton just bought for £15m looks a find, and has nice hair (a two ribbon man for sure.) Wide man though, not our need, even though it would take the spotlight from off of TC and his various bouffants .... for a change. Would need to be a striker, although Arsenal have just turned down that amount for Nketiah (Palace?) So our greed wouldn't be over-satiated. Make it £20m. It's a hypothetical scenario, after all. £30m?
  7. Fact or opinion? Ten minutes of Sargent in the yellow ... and he impressed, no doubting. V. Three seasons and seventy odd goals from Pukki. Another one who seems determined to write Teemu off, even at the expense of making baseless forecasts.
  8. I find that my extended eyelashes and short skirts keep me safe, despite my yellow and green dyed hair.
  9. All clubs seem to have their fair share of sick-notes and misfits (for various reasons.) It's the name of the game. Farke does seem to be a bit of a fuss-pot at times, and I suppose that is a good thing. Trybul was no failure and perhaps, in healthier times, would have been snapped up by a decent Championship team by now. Klose has pedigree and owes the club nothing. We have to accept that injury and age have made him a no-goer. Farke will know the truth of that. Some of these players from abroad can't just be farmed off to the English lower leagues as a matter of course.
  10. Forget Skipp we probably wouldn't have had a chance of getting him back in the first place. I just cannot believe that Webber has been awaiting Spurs' decision before acting in the transfer market. He's more thorough and less risk-prone than that. Let us just hope that we have reason to pine after Gilmour similarly next year, and that it's from the perspective of a PL club.
  11. So many so often willing to write Teemu off. It's proven to be premature in the past and could well be again ... for some time to come. OK, he's getting on a bit, and has seemed a bit more prone to injury but he still always gives value for money .... and surprises at will. It's therefore the natural order of things that younger players should replace him more and more, but that depends upon the performance of those players. Even with less time on the pitch I wouldn't bet against TP getting to double figures this season, less workload might even help in this respect.
  12. Thank you for realising my friviolity and getting to the point about pllayer's wages regards City employees. I do favour the self-sufficient model but does this condemn us to a yo-yo existence, or even worse, forever more? It seems to be an admission of accepting us as minnows when competing in the big stuff. Btw. My vital statistics are 36C, 29" and £100, 000 per week. Can you handle that?
  13. All time? I don't go back that far. I've mentioned two, but apparently I have to add that Kevin Keelan was the all-time pin-up boy and there's something about Dion Dublin that is supposed to appeal .... but I can't remember what is was. It would be easier to eliminate rather than include. A pity Jamie Redknapp never played for City. Give me time.
  14. Fair enough, but I wasn't in charge. The elderly gentlemen who took over seemed to think it vital to avoid biting/swallowing the tongue. Perhaps between the teeth rather than 'in the mouth' is more appropriate. I had previously thought it necessary, but it was a moment of panic and details are blurred about what was done to help the boy.
