  1. IF the encroaching player had been the one to score the rebound, chances are it wouldn't have stood (VAR intervention), and an indirect free kick awarded to Norwich... ...then of course, the come back would have been on....
  2. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59995156?at_medium=RSS&at_campaign=KARANGA Alot paid out - but not doing quite so well..... have we paid over the odds for players in a bid to be seen as ambitious, or will it be late return - OR - have we just been unlucky? Top 20 clubs in Europe by spending on international transfer fees in 2021 1. Manchester United 2. Chelsea 3. RB Leipzig 4. Roma 5. Arsenal 6. Tottenham 7. PSG 8. Manchester City 9. 3. I'd sign him in a shot if it was a possibility, unfortunately though, I can't see us matching his wages or him wanting to come... but, we can dream
  4. I would actually agree with this, not that he's any better necessarily, but certainly not any worse and could want to prove a point under a different manager, plus has experience... however I suspect that there's no recall clause, or to that point, any desire from Smith to have him back and, like Pukki, didn't shine last time round. I did read (on here somewhere) that apparently Hugill cannot be recalled and I as much as Onel is a great character and City legend in his own way, he's far from getting in the matchday squad, let alone first team and making a difference. On the Idah point, for anyone still reading or remotely interested..., I think he's another Carlton Morris, physically impressive and promising but just not going to cut it at this level... he's yet to score in the Premier league and internationally and at best, might show something next season if given a regular run of games at a lower level, but I just don't see it. Simple fact is, I believe for what's been spent over the summer on several players, had we pumped it all into one proven player to supercede or play with Pukki, it would be a different story.
  5. I'd sell him - he's not playing for us and despite Smith's early overtures and inclusions, there's a reason he's not playing whether it be fitness or attitude. I'd take the money and leave it to chance whether Howe can get him motivated or not... if we can reinvest on a player or two who will add value then we have to look at us.
  6. I second that - I really hope so...... several youngsters are going out on loan, hopefully this is with a view to free up squad space, the under lying message being that players are coming in, so you take your chance elsewhere....
  7. Let's stop trying to find the postives in this season and get back to good old fashioned pessimism... Smith is heading for a worse Premier League points per game record than Farke We're barely making up the numbers in games let alone being competitive Can't score Can't defend Webber out stayed his time at Huddersfield and has done so here Signings have been alot of promise without any end product, yet everyone knows that you need 'proven' in the Premier league ...and I'm on a bloody new year diet and fitness kick... pass me the chocolate and stale mince pies, I'm done....
  8. Clearly scoring is an issue for us, once again... so, let's assume that for the remainder of this season we will battle hard, defend as best we can etc etc.... but what do we change up front to give us a chance? New striker? New creative force? Who would you realstically like to see Smiffy n Webbs bring in?
  9. Krul Aarons Hanley Omobamidele Giannoulis Cantwell Normann Gilmour Rashica Pukki Tzolis
  10. Less the Dereham Deco, more the Norfolk Bendtner.....? Let's hope he works hard, impresses Smith and gets back in the squad and on the pitch... the Cantwell we used to know..
  11. He's here to make history - first manager to play the same opponent twice consecutively with two different clubs in the Premier League.... He wouldn't have been my first choice, BUT.... support him all the way now he's here...
  12. I fancy our chances against anyone outside the Premier League....😂
  13. ....I believe, will determine the future of Farke and our EPL status... I suspect the board will take the view that; they're all against teams (currently) in the bottom half of the table, therefore points can be won if Norwich do not take at least six points from the next five games, then action must be taken This takes us up to the end of November and subsequently allows December for a new appointment to be made, then January for any (possible) changes. I think the upper echelons of Carrow Road still have belief, but, on current merit, it does seem that Farke's Norwich City shelf life has expired, and he should be given all the credit he deserves and remembered for what he has given us, rather than these final few months of disappointment
  14. I'm not sure replacing Farke is necessarily feasible (according to how much it may take us to pay him off), but he clearly isn't cutting it a the top level. Hodgson (as an example) would be a perfect option to come in and just 'sit on his shoulder' so to speak and guide him in what is needed... we are currently heading for complete embarrassment in this seasons campaign and may end up setting new, unwanted records.
  15. absolutely, unique, original and just like everybody else...
  16. don't come here stealing our funniness, only so much to go round...
  17. ...and the only two who find that joke funny judging by the (lack of) response to this thread - tough crowd...!!
  18. I don't want a nice midfielder, I want dirty b@stard, clips your ankles, combative midfielder...
  19. Soto is destined to become the next Freddy Adu, endless potential , but little end product. It's not often Farke gets it wrong on players, so something is missing. Going off topic slightly, will the same happen with Sinani?
  20. I'm not going to get drawn into this ridiculous argument, but since you didn't ask my opinion, I'm going to give it anyway. AG did well for us, many a player has succeeded here and not elsewhere and vice versa. If, and that's a big IF, there are ricks in his game, Farke will soon iron them out... I remember Krul being slated after his arrival and coming good, Pukki too not delivering initially, but the Farke hug bus got round and stroked and carressed them into players we wouldn't be without now... That's my three pence worth
  21. ... so who's next? For me, it needs to be a striker... we know we're not going to get a world class proven goal scorer, we just don't have the money or resources, but another player accompanied by a five minute 'best of' YouTube video would be grand.... As ever, so far, astute business by SW & DF...
  22. Ah, I see you've encountered him on a night out on the Prince of Wales too... yes, disturbing stuff that, but if the knock on is a happy Farke and the team doing well, we should all do our bit
  23. A reliable source tells me the budget is £3.67, some goodwill and a batch of Delia's pies. Webber will play some hardball and send in Farke for the big hugs to smooth the deal over. Finally, Carl Cort will finish his Asda shopping and drop off some yellow t-shirts from the sale so there's a brand new kit for the new arrival.... You heard it here first people...
