  1. Not my first choice but better than Lampard - good experience in relegation battles and has improved every club he's been with. Let's get behind him - crucial 5 games of our season coming up. OTBC
  2. They've always said "an appointment by the back end of the week" - still think this will be the case
  3. Norwich City: Are Canaries at a crossroad over head coach? | The Pink Un On Monday - the Pinkun seemed very confident it would be Knutsen. Earlier today - they seemed confident it would be Frank Lampard. This evening - they are tracking back and are non-committal Basically - no one knows
  4. Henry Winter of the Times has already gone with it... "Ignore the noise" lol
  5. Was he always the top choice or were we unable to pluck the Norwegian guy out of Bodo?
  6. Just been appointed Dortmund's Technical Director as well - unless he misses management can't see why he would leave Interesting name though as won quite a few games when he was interim coach
  7. Pretty sure it was coming from Rosenberg-> Norwich - Fjords nice at this time of year?
  8. Hi BYG - do you mean you can see it being a breakdown in talks; or can't?
  9. Tbf he said that KK was the one the club really wanted, not that it was a done deal.. Agree with another above poster that it is unacceptable that Webber wouldn't have realised this - I know with Normann there were lots of stumbling blocks to get him out of Russia but that took weeks to sort - we arguably have like 72 hours.... Not sure how you would break the deadlock? Money? Compensation to B/G - send them loan players?
  10. It's this Friday but agree with you
  11. Who are the ITK people other than SexyBennett on twitter?
  12. From Michael Bailey's piece on the Athletic Next!
  13. Didn't realise it was that high... šŸ˜®
  14. To be fair to the OP, sky are lumping Lampard, Dean Smith, and Hasenhuttl as 'the three' candidates Norwich wish to pursue. Norwich shortlist Frank Lampard, Dean Smith and Southampton's Ralph Hasenhuttl for new boss | Football News | Sky Sports Must admit the Hasenhuttl link makes me think all three are tosh Webber, even if you dislike him, will have had a shortlist of managers if Farke left/was sacked - the idea he would suddenly go for Smith as he's become available in the last 24 hours is laughable (even if John Percy - the original source, is normally pretty accurate). Hasenhuttl more in the frame for the Villa job I think so could be agent speak Probably something in the Lampard link - but Paddy Davitt distanced himself from the link early in the Q&A, but isn't the worst manager around
  15. If you're putting money on Roy, Steve Bruce etc then you're literally just giving the bookies money
  16. I know maybe just a coincidence but Greg Broughton, who used to work in the academy at Norwich, now works for Bodo/Glimt - the club Kjetil manages. would therefore be easy for Webber to have sought soundings about him as a coach and the type of manager he is https://trainingground.guru/articles/gregg-broughton-youth-development-lessons-from-bodo/glimt
  17. Do the (albeit limited) rumours on Lampard being at Dunston Hall have any substance/truth to them or is it just teenagers publicly gossiping? Anyone ITK? šŸ˜‚
  18. Firstly - let me say how sad I am that Farke has gone - heā€™s provided some of the very best footballing memories, and has been a key part of why I am so proud to be a Norwich fan - the reasons are listed all over the forum are not limited to: the clubā€™s model, development of young players, style of play, community connection. I was at Brentford today - probably the second most sung chant was ā€œDaniel Farkeā€™s Yellow Armyā€ - although online support was wavering, Iā€™d say the support in the stands was still positive and it was a fantastic away win - the high I felt afterwards probably has exacerbated the low I feel at his departure. The decision is a high-risk one from webber - clearly, he feels to make the next step and establish us as a PL side we need someone to take us to the next level. thatā€™s why lots of the manager suggestions on here, at the bookies etc make no sense. Lower league manages like the Blackpool manager, Russ, Mark Robins donā€™t have the prem/top flight experience to be able to get the best out of the players. managers like Roy, Big Sam, Bruce, Warnock, Wilder donā€™t fit the style we want to play (in fact are the polar opposite) the new manager will most likely be some reasonably left field appointment with a top flight experience, attacking style of play, developed young players. More likely to be foreign as more used to the Sporting director model. Wait with interest to see who it is. will miss farke - time will tell whether itā€™s the right decision to move on OTBC
  19. Man City, PSG and I am sure others were offered him and didn't take it up Agree he will score goals but i read an interesting article (https://www.si.com/soccer/2021/08/27/cristiano-ronaldo-manchester-united-return-solskjaer-analysis) that said it would make MAN U worse They desperately needed a defensive midfielder yet have added to a position they are well stocked
