1. I am very concerned about this, an under 21 english keeper, 400k???I would want a 25% sell on clause, and a buy back clause of 1-1.5mill if this is true. The board could get this very very wrong!!
 2. Agree, but obviously finally Grant going was pretty key too!!But as far as on pitch goes, then I agree about the Blackpool game, a bit of luck going our way gives so much confidence!
 3.
Come on back down to earth now. It could all very easily go belly up still(a lot of good teams to play yet), personally I would be more than happy with a mid table finish this season and move onwards and upwards from there next season.
A true Norwich fan, I think I have been saying "next season" for about 12 years!
 4.

A Wolves fan posting a Stoke thread on a Norwich board!? How bizarre!
Take it as a compliment - he clearly just wants to have sensible football based conversations, and I have been to Wolverhampton once, and he isnt going to get it there!!
coming from you from cockney land haha, sit down shat up, sit down shat up
Now now, I am norfolk born and bread, and have only lived here 2 years - also fulham isnt cockney!

 6. I might get called many things for this, but I have been thinking about it after reading a post, I forget who by, but it said something along the line of ""delia release a new book, make a TV show and back Glenn".Now I love the club, have done all my life, always have always will.  But according to one report by the bbc last week Delia is only worth 20-25 million, and I presume that a huge amount of that money is in the club or in other assets?I would love to buy the club once I have made millions (still young enough to have childish dreams) but would I rather own an Aston Martin or pay for half of the cost for a 1 month loan for Martin Taylor, as good as he is, is he that good?  I mean, if you are worth 250mill like the turners (btw isnt there business in loans?) then it may not concern you as you are gonna have as many Astons as you want.  But Delia is not worth that much in modern terms, as odd as it is to say, and although I disagree with most of the boards recent decisions, can we really ask for her to put more of her own money in, if we would do the same thing?
 7. Unless any of us are scouts or coaches, we cant really say.  There are gems released by Prem clubs - Nugent, and Cameron Jerome spring to mind, however I am sure there are hundreds of bad ones too, so in the coaches I trust.  James Hollman is our GK coach if my Football Manager memory serves me right, so leave it to him and Glenn.
 8. Green Edworthy   Malky   Shacks   Drury (has anyone played at left back) Bentley   Safri   Francis   Hucks     Ashton   Earnie
 9.
oh dear, very sad that this may happen in todays football world. However with the stupid amounts of money in football now its only amount of time that a lot more old big names like coventry fall by the way side. It makes me angry to read this as a lot of people only look at chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs, Newcastle as the football clubs. Everyone else is skint. the only bonus for this is that with the ten point deduction we stand a better chance of staying up. Cheers All
It is sad that this could happen, but what the hell were they doing in the summer??  Got Dowie (big wage) and spent too, Borrowdale and Best come to mind, good players, but if there is no money then there is NO MONEY. They were stupid, and now they are getting burnt, they would not have the 10points without signing the players, and therefore sad as it is to say get what they deserve, as are southampton.  Whatever people think about the boards, prudence vs ambition, i think most of us can be glad that we are not like Coventry or Southampton!
 10. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_2928567,00.html We should definitely bid for Borrowdale now in my opinion now, save them from administration for a week, and get a top left back.
 11.
Smudger''s great really, we''d miss him if he wasn''t here! I''m sure when he gets bored of pretending to support the wrong team he might discover the joys of life, fine wines, good food and pretty ladies; and then he''d be less prone to post this negative "wrist slitting" dross here. I am with the other 99.99% of Norwich fans today, happy that we won, not only once, but twice, and away from home, i''d almost forgoten what it felt like.
Great post!  Agree completely, I forgot what winning was like.  We are bottom of the league, but there is no longer a gap, we are close, and will make it up soon!
 12.
Oh dear , Earnshaw is a different class altogether than Cureton and if we paid the reported £750,000 at 32 years of age its by no stretch of the imagination a snip .
I agree when we signed him I thought we were over paying completely overpaid.  My point was if he scores 20 a season for 2years, which I think with any decent service he will, then I think 375k for 20 goals per year isnt that bad.  It will take Brown 5years to get the number! He isnt as good as Earnie, and will never have the resale value, but my point was, Earnie left for £3.75mill I think, and Jamie cost a fifth of that, and if he can get near the number of goals, its not that bad?
 13. Jamie has 4 league goals, and 2 in the cup this season.  In this awful team (pre-Glenn) would Earnie of scored more?  I am thinking he wouldnt, and therefore despite Jamies age, feel he may have been a bit of a snip.
 14.
(1=Best) 1) Darren Huckerby - Simply brilliant every season he has been here, great servant to the club, almost single handidly kept norwich up last season 2) Craig Fleming - Another great servant, dodgy towards the end but understandably because of age, like a rock most of the time 3) Malky Mackay - ditto as above 4) Adam Drury - lost it a bit recently but the club captain the last few years really brought him on, one of the best left backs in the division on his day 5) Marc Edworthy - the best right back we have had for ages, shame that him and worthy had a fall out becauuse we could stil have had him now, great player 6) Damien Francis - quality written all over him, would quite easily have him back now 7) Dean Ashton - almost kept us in the premiership with his goals and was always destined to play in the prem 8) Paul Mcveigh - a lot of people give this guy some stick but i thought in the playoff and promotion seasons he was outstanding 9) Robert Green - now become one of englands finest goalkeepers and was very loyal to norwich for a long time, great shotstopper 10) Gary Holt - this guy is just immense, to have blood drained form your lungs sounds horrible and this guy would run for the team all day and probably all night if he had to, credit to the club thoughts people
No Iwan?  A little harsh?  The guy was loved by everyone!
 15. Agreed! We need to foster a winning culture.  Dropped when dont perform, not getting dropped after first win in 11!  what message does that send?
 16.   Bit about huckerby is good too, bigging him up about supporting the players, but then saying he had to win back the shirt.  Giving confidence to everyone, very different style to Grunt.
 17. contract expires in the summer, fat sam doesnt like him.....
 18.

It''s hard to guess, but there are probably loan fees on all but Evans perhaps totalling no more than 250k. I cant see Evans costing a fee, or Pattison really because they are young, currently uneeded players and pattison is soon out of contact. Camera and in particular Taylor may however have fees of 100k? If PG''s excuses are to be believed. Wages wise, we''re ptbably paying Taylor and Camera 5k a week (parts of salary??), Evans 1k (full wage) and pattison 3kk?? (full wage). So 14k a week, for what about 26 weeks in total for the four, so 340,000 on top of 250,000. Then there''s 4 hotel rooms at dunston hall to pay for for these periods. Anyone like to hazard a guess as to whjat that would be??? But if Grant''s to believed all this may have cost us 600k. Whether we do infact have such loan fees for unwanted players we can only guess.
Dunstan Hall??   Shouldnt they be in the hotel on the Carrow Road??  Dont we get a share then?
No we don''t get a share.  The club has a 30% stake in the hotel which means we would get something eventually if the hotel made a profit (or was sold off at a profit) after having paid for itself.  One of my concerns about the hotel is what would happen if Holiday Inn wanted to dispose of it?  It does not sound as though our 30% stake would be enough by itself to block such a move.  I sincerely hope there''s a legal document somewhere that offers the club some protection.
But still we should use it!  Thanks for explaining it though, it all does seem very odd, but hopefully will give us some benefits long term.

 20. Is this rubbing it in? Na, fair question though. Who knows, seemed highly rated when signed, but Brown (of all people) kept him out the team?!?!
 21. Speaking to a few people they have also said Grant was actually disliked by other pros, on his own team, and especially on opposition teams.
 22.
This is a bit of a radical idea but, us fans, why don''t we all club together and buy our club? Barcelona and Real Madrid are owned by their fans. Boards of directors, managers and coaches can be decided by democratic vote. Nobody knows how to run a club better than the fans themselves. There''s no point waiting for a rich knight in shining armour to come to the rescue, and recent history has shown how big business is crippling football. There are what, at least 300,000 Norwich fans? How much money can we raise? It might seem idealistic and pie in the sky, but with organisations like the NCISA we could get the ball rolling. It would have to be as democratic as possible though, with fans not having the uppance over others because of having a higher share. It could be structured like a syndicate trade union, every fan having a say. Thoughts? P.S Yes I''m new, but I''ve been reading these boards for a while and after today feel compelled to suggest something drastic. Hello all.
Top idea, I saw Barcelona as a kid before I saw Norwich, so have always had a vague interest in them.  They only elect the president, and he does the rest.  Though I am not sure about this 300,000 figure.  100,000 fans willing to give up cash, maybe, but more than that??Also maybe foxile can shed some light, but Leicester cost 25mill, but not sure if they had debts??I therefore reckon we need to raise 30mill.  As we only need to take care of the short-term debt, which is about 4.5mill?  as those are the bits with the costly repayments, the rest is a mortgage.  Thats only (if we have 100,000 fans) 300quid each!  Put in 500, and allow Glenn to sort out some of this crap!I would give a grand to part on Norwich and vote on decisions!Day ONE of Fans Regime: Fire Doncaster!
 23. In fairness to Roeder, the guy got promoted at Newcastle, so nothing he can do.  I expect Glenn to move fairly quickly though, he seemed to know we needed a few coaches, I reckon will have one in next couple of weeks, just get that feeling. Its a good point though, it has gone quiet on it, but trying to get strikers on loan, and everything else, its not easy.
