  1. Have you ever known another site to be down or barely functioning like this one for this long? Do you know how many sites are built on Amazon Web services? Seriously, the issues facing this site would be fixed in a day by any business that had funding and respect for its users. It's not magic, it's code.
  2. The administration of this forum is a disgrace. A half competent person that relied on it for income would have it fixed in one session. Got nothing against Peter deleter but if they can't spend £50 and half a day on fixing the problems it deserves to die.
  3. I work from home and choose my own hours so can be available to help with setting up a new site. I'm not a web developer but decent with computers and the like. I'm also happy to put up funding. How do we do this? Set up a WhatsApp group, DM you numbers? I'm on holiday next week but after that I'm free to get this done.
  4. If you laughed at this you need to get out more.
  5. Josh Sargent has scored more league goals in fewer games than Alan Shearer had at his age.
  6. The guy was a supremely talented young striker that has moved abroad at a young age and has performed okay. He's had a goal involvement approximately every three games playing for a bad Bundesliga side. This is our level. Get young players with pedigree and trust Farke to make them better. We won't get them all right, but no-one does. Grant Holt was playing in Singapore at his age.
  7. He has scored with his left foot in each of the past three seasons.
  8. Looking at other key metrics IS important, but I have faith that Farke can bring other aspects to his game if he has the desire to improve. I think our scouting is excellent in that regard. The fact is he has scored a goal every three games at a decent level, and if he does that here i.e. scores 12/13 this season, his signing will have been a success irrespective of what else he brings to the team. Rashica is coming off a stinker. Bailey off the best season of his career. Bailey is a couple of years younger. Lots to like about the Bailey deal for Villa. Ours represents more of a gamble but the bigger the gamble, the bigger the potential reward.
  9. I wouldn't even call it analysis, just a simple comparison. For a side that massively struggled to score goals last time out, it's impressive business that we were able to bring someone in with a similar output to Bailey for a third of the price, no? While you are obviously right that judging a player purely on goals and assists is overly simplistic, if he scores a goal every 270 minutes this season, as he has in the Bundesliga, that would represent an unqualified success, no? If he does, that £9.4m will look like even more of a bargain.
  10. They have a near identical goals per minute. Rashica is a bit ahead on assists. Imagine we'd paid £30m for him. Would that have been better!?
  11. Bundesliga record: Leon Bailey Played 119 Scored 28 Assisted 21 Milot Rashica Played 87 Scored 21 Assisted 17 In Webber we trust. OTBC
  12. Yeah weird argument given you basically agree with each other. I agree with pretty much everything both of you have said with the exception of @horsefly saying Pukki definitely wouldn't have scored that goal which I also consider to be a bizarre take.
  13. They finished strongly because Willock scored a goal a game. If they fail to sign him or anyone of note, they are surely going down. Bruce is an absolutely terrible manager. EDIT: I always remember this article from his time at Sunderland, it's a good read. He's been woefully past it for a decade: https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2011/nov/30/steve-bruce-sunderland-sacked
  14. Number 9 we are open to offers, number 35 will 100% be here come September.
  15. They have a well established back three, and a very limited budget with other areas that urgently need improvement according to Robins. Not reading tea leaves, just reading. I agree nothing is certain in football but he's about 8th choice and is always injured. Best of luck to him.
  16. Okay but not considering the semantics, Coventry are looking for a backup centre back, not a starter, and it seems young Bushiri isn't good enough even for that. And if that's the case, he will never be good enough for us. He seems to be behind even Famewo who is a year older and also considered not good enough. Win some lose some. He'll be on loan somewhere with a view to permanent by September.
  17. Robins' quotes were pretty damning, seemed to be suggesting that finances were forcing him to consider a player that is far off championship standard. If Bushiri is miles away from being a championship squad player at this stage, injuries or not, he isn't making it here.
  18. Pathetic little bigot. Plead innocence when someone calls you out. Go back to your hole.
  19. No just you in this instance. I have no real issue with what CCC posted before.
  20. There aren't credible argument against vaccination. Vaccine passports, masks, social distancing and all the other stuff are more subjective and can therefore be debated but the science and numbers behind vaccinations speak for themselves. It's okay that some people don't get that, but they should just leave it up to others, the others in this case being scientists that have spent their entire lives working on this stuff. Matt Morriss is a horrible moron that is best ignored, if you've read even a tenth of his posts in this thread and can't see that then good luck to you.
  21. It's unfair that other people have to live on the same planet as you.
