  1. I'd rank his performance as a striker much better than some of the posters on this forum.
  2. Yeah, 'cos all clubs that get into the PL make huge profits and live happily ever after 😕
  3. Don't be sorry, but if the club were selling tickets for a standing enclosure in the South Stand from 1975>1978, and it was replaced with seats from the start of 1978/79, then we have to assume it existed!! Meanwhile, this from Sept 1977, shows fans standing at the very front of the S Stand.
  4. The South Stand absolutely had a standing enclosure at the front. The club were selling STs specifically for this section in the summer of 1975. The photo you posted backs this up! I don't think the Molineux pitch has ever been rotated. Dean Court (Bournemouth) yes, but not Wolves. The large space in front of the newly-built stand was there because the previous stand had been demolished in situ, with the new stand being built behind.
  5. I think you can see the (small) paddock in the original photo; the upright workman is actually in the standing area, inbetween the two waist-high fences
  6. Arthur South would only consider red while other members of the Board had the opposite political view?
  7. I suspect this is just another one of those "mate down the chip shop" stories, based upon nothing. The fact is that pretty much all early plastic seating was either blue or red. Look at Wolves' John Ireland stand: not a single yellow seat! I've looked high & low and can't find a single example of yellow/green plastic seats earlier than our River End.
  8. South Stand seats were first used v Leeds, on Aug 20th 1975. The installation process wasn't completed by Aug 2nd because the stand was not in use for the (Anglo-Scottish Cup) visit of Fulham on that date. Not sure what the "Bournemouth seats" refers to, unless @nutty nigel is suggesting that was where they came from?
  9. Balls is just a professional misery, who loves the attention. He spent much of the late 1990s moaning about the state of the club, being silenced by the success of 2002 onwards. After a few years he was back, casting gloom around him, comparing City unfavourably to Wigan. And then, his oh-so-public Season Ticket surrender, conducted via social media.
  10. He also stated publicly that Farke was not a coach who could take NCFC to promotion. As others have stated, stopped clocks and all that.
  11. Why are we taking the view that all of this season's media rights income will go towards paying down debt?
  12. You are mentioned because you climbed all over someone who suggested that the accounts were not "up to scratch" There is more than one other poster who feels that the accounts are badly presented (possibly even below code)
  13. @Branston Pickle More criticism of how the Accounts have been presented, this time from @shefcanary: "The detail disclosed on Attanasio's loans and the other short term loans falls well below what the Financial Reporting Council would expect. I don't know if this deliberate or a **** up."
  14. It is not a red herring. The debt will not be cleared by this season's parachute / player profits. And the Maddison money was probably 'sold' as part of the pre-Attanasio loan agreement Without promotion, this time next season there will still be a pretty big debt, requiring further player sales.
  15. That is a laughably glass half-empty view. Recruitment is not just about making a profit., or are you suggesting that Pukki, Krul, Zimmerman (and many others) were not a success?
  16. There are plenty of occasions where figures published by NCFC [either via the accounts or docs regarding shareholding issues] have proved to be wrong. And there are plenty of other posters who have raised this issue previously.
  17. Man Utd & Newcastle your two "favorite" away grounds? And the sense of unity at CR? Reads like AI-generated nonsense.
  18. I think "cornered" is really unfair, as it implies that D&M have been suckered. They know how rare a decent owner is, and they know that a decent owner with an emotional / local connection is even rarer. I suspect that D&M have been overly cautious about new investment because they know would be blamed if it went wrong (see Chase) They think that the Attanasio regime will be a continuation but will never be 110% sure.
  19. Here's a short list of NCFC players. See if you can spot the theme: Krul, Leitner, Trybull, Ruddy, McVeigh, Polston, Bowen, Crook, Culverhouse, Gunn (Sr), Hartford, Channon, Van Wijk, Deehan, Watson, Peters*, MacDougall, Keelan* and KEN FOGGO!
  20. Being not good enough for one team is absolutely no barrier to being a success elsewhere (Krul? Trybull?). As for taking the opinion of other fans as an objective indicator of talent and/or ability....
  21. Sara' s goal on Saturday was beating Meslier at his near post!
