It’s not his fault at all, but I think the Involvement of Attanasio was the catalyst for the current mess. I think certain people at the club are waiting to see how the season pans out. Mr Attanasio himself is waiting to see if we get promoted or not (club is going to be much cheaper and the desire to sell that much greater). Mr and Mrs Webber are unsure if they would still have a job if there was a takeover, so they are treading cautiously and not rocking the boat in any shape or form - a further poor managerial change would spell the end of Stuart if a takeover happens. Delia and Wynnie have probably nearly had enough of being involved so deeply and probably want out, but can’t show too much of their hand to Attanasio. SAS probably know that they are finished at the end of the season, regardless of whether we go up or not, hence their apathy. And then we have the squad - several of them know they won’t be here next season, and several of them hope they won’t be here next season. There are a few who genuinely seem to put in a shift to further their careers, but they are in the minority. Just my take on it all.

As much as I’m no fan of the current manager, I can’t see what Martin would bring that makes the upheaval and financial cost worthwhile. I’m a firm believer we need someone with a track record at least as comparable (preferably better) than our current setup.

I don’t deny he’s not extremely good, but that goal was luck, rather than magic. The commentators were creaming themselves because he made a couple of much-lesser standard opposition players sit down - such fawning waters down his more stellar moments, for me.

At half time they are running on about how much of a magician he is to have scored that. To me, it looked like a hit and hope - nine times out of ten it would have been blocked.

Will never be forgotten for that sublime header against Man City. Whilst I don’t expect masses of love on here for Kenny, the disrespect is out of order. He’s been a great servant for the club - rarely injured and always puts in a shift. Just unfortunately prone to at least one suicide pass per game!
