  1. I’m all seriousness, how is Cheeseboard these days? Any slices of the action at recent games, or grating on people?
  2. Apparently one of Kieran Scott’s parting gifts was setting up a swoop for Iran national player Allahyar Sayyadmanesh. Currently signed to Fenerbache, but on loan in the Ukraine with Zorya Luhansk. 20 years of age, plays in a forward position… and has even scored against Leicester in the Europa league. Let’s see if my ITK corroborates with another popular ITK
  3. … cunning plan. A plan as cunning as a fox what used to be Professor of Cunning at Oxford University but has moved on, and is now working for the UN at the High Commission of International Cunning Planning.
  4. This whole forum seems like Villa are living rent-free in our heads. I might start another post about Villa to blend in.
  5. I can’t engage in this debate. My judgements are clouded, and I cannot comprehend the feelings of humans from Birmingham. Why? I’ve been fuming at the price tag of a Freddo for years. Still didn’t stop me buying one, when I really, really wanted one.
  6. Great opportunities for our next batch of U23’s a day youngsters to make an impression! I was watching their highlights the over night - some great play, and a familiarity to the senior team system.
  7. He has a lovely haircut. Deserves a place in the starting line-up.
  8. I’m presuming that with our injury list, taking Pukki and Emi off early would have required Daniel Farke and Chris Domogolla to fill in and attempt to see the game out.
  9. As it currently stands we're averaging over 2 points a game. This is good. The Derby result is an outlier, and I’m sure we’ll see some other odd ones in the future. But it doesn’t matter if overall we maintain around 2 points a game... 92 points by the end of the season would be welcome!
  10. With the lull in transfer gossip today, it is interesting to see CamJam linked to MK Dons. I think Russ could be on the verge of making a very astute signing at that level, so fingers crossed the ‘Canary Connection’ works well for them. I will forever doff my cap to CamJam’s rebuff of interest from our friends in IP1.
  11. I’m so out of touch. The last time I played FIFA was FIFA 96 with Nick Wlodka being rated 99 on all attributes!
  12. There’s legs in this one. Just seen it confirmed on Sky Sports News. Sign him up.
  13. Is he “up” for playing at CB? If it’s a yes... Sign him up.
  14. Thank you @Faded Jaded Semi Plastic SOB I am a fan of the traditional footballer’s mullet. I look at our current squad, and often debate who could pull off the style. One day Marco Stiepermann will rise like a salmon, strike an absolute thunderous goal and wheel away to the Barclay with a mullet in full flow. I just know it
  15. No, never heard of him. But, I'm now an expert as I've Googled him. Judging by his catalogue of charismatic haircuts, he looks good. Sign him up.
  16. Using the power of FIFA and MoneyBall - Ross Sykes... Accrington Stanley. Potential rating of 73 (Ryan Bennett rated at 72). 21 years old, 196cm/6'5" tall https://sofifa.com/player/235572/ross-sykes/210004/. Sign him up.
  17. As height is emerging as a defining factor for success on this thread, why not take a moneyball approach based on this attribute? Who are the Top 3 or 4 tallest CB's available with a Transfer Value <£1m? If it pays off, great. If they're pony, sell them to a team that appreciates a good "unit".
  18. Keeping to the spirit of identifying names that we've never been (publically) linked to previously, I would like to highlight up and coming Irish Centre Back George Berkeley. I've been reliably informed from our Eire-based scout network that we have a pre-contract in place with Kilkenny City AFC for a compensation sum of 20,000 EUR. Born in County Kilkenny, the tenacious Irishman has a god-like touch, is ambidextrous with his feet, likes to play out from the back and isn't afraid of a crunching tackle. He is known as the "Bishop". A good prospect to add to the conveyor-belt of Irish talent we have emerging with Adam Idah, Simon Power and Andrew Omobamidele. You heard it hear first. No doubt Archant and The Athletic will publish this soon. Info: George Berkeley
