1. It''s simple really..... If you start a ruck at a football match then you are in the wrong but what happens if a Col Utd fan starts of a City fan if we score? The easiest & most sensible solution ruling out the potential for trouble is to allow the away fans to be seated in areas not sold out and easily segragated. As they have done with every other club in such a position. If it kicks off it will be a person issue AND the chairman of ColUtd who could have made that scenario impossible. Please use a bit of common sense even if Col Utd can''t.
2. I suggest that as many of us as possible complain to the Football League, bringing to their attention the possibility of trouble caused by the frequent slagging off of our club and it''s fans.
3. Amusing? I wonder if you''ll be laughing when it kicks off? It''s just really really irresponsible & unfortunatley will lead to problems all over the ground. Well done, how very very big of you..... stop acting like a pathetic victim & maybe people will give you the respect you so crave.
4. Camuldonum aren''t you a bit concerned at the petty mindedness of your club?
5. So when it kicks off in the home end and it will due to the imflammatory comments coming out of the pathetic Essex club then hopefully the authories will charge the chairman with failing to provide a safe environment in which to hold a sporting event...... If I supported them I''d be really embarassed by all of this. Pathetic!
6.
Good point well made. However the only thing I can see here is that the club offered it the once, why should they offer it again? Those who claimed their rebate made their decision in the summer, its very much a case of you''ve made your bed now lie in it. If we miss out on getting a player in the January transfer window because of those that claimed their rebate will be the first to criticise the club when they should look a little closer to home.
Actually those that claimed their rebate (like me) did so because the same mistakes were being made & they did not listen to the majority of fans that did not want Gunn as boss. I feel absolutely no shame or regret in that. If they did the same now it would be a totally different story..... There is even an argument to say that those that willingly handed over their rebate to the club, gave them a signal that the status quo was fine, despite our appalling time on the pitch.
7. If you post respectfully you''ll get a respectful reply, if you post absolute drivel (Drury meant it blah blah blah... I hope you stay down blah blah blah) you''ll get a reply likewise....... Yes we are in the same division but a wind up post, get''s a wind up reply. Not arsed either way, it''s just a bit banter. I won''t mind being Leeds, they are top of the league....
8. Dear Yeovilite, Yeovil? I guess being as you''ll definitely be staying down or worse, it get''s frustrating seeing a better team, club, stadium, history, future, outlook, etc etc. We look forward to you coming to Carrow Rd & we''ll do everything to make sure your Cup final is a special day for you, even if you will leave pointless. Thanks x   P.s Adam says hello & is looking forward to playing next week.
9. His non appearance on match days always lightened up my day......  He''ll be missed missing from Carrow Rd.
10. Reckon their chairman will give us an extra 1000 tickets and will drop the FA case, if we give him Holt, Hoolihan & Askou plus Delia''s comfy chair & the use of Captain Canary for a week....... Them selling well is not a surprise given we are a big draw, it''s just another potential three points for us.
11. Give me Strength even..... LOL! I might get a tshirt with GIVE ME STRENGTHEN on it...
12. I read one post about Chrissy Martin, saying he had no motivation etc. They obviously forgot his penalty at the Saints, followed by this shot that allowed Hughes to score and his contribution against Brighton. Doc has also been slated yet he with Askou has been performing really well recently. Then we have some numpty complaining about ASkous wife being unwell..... give me strengthen. We didn''t play well on Saturday but the reaction has been immature and frankly pathetic, leading me to question the real reason for it. Are they binmen on the p*ss? Are they just useless when understanding football (they see Man Ure winning every week, so therefore Norwich should...)? Are they 6?
13. Are either 1) People that don''t follow the team that often.. 2) Are stupid. 3) Are binmen (& therefore 1 & 2 also). 4) Victor Meldrew.. moan moan moan.. bring back Gunn etc etc... 5) Know absolutely bugger all about football & despite watching City week in week out, still haven''t a clue. Thanks
14. It''s pathetic isn''t it! Someone gives the club £13m and all she gets is abuse...
15. "I would think it is a responsibility of any ambitious board to price match day tickets in such a way as to maximise the revenue obtained. If this means higher prices and smaller crowds then so be it. " So we make watching City a past time for the rich and affluent only, rather than the club being a vibrant part of the whole community...... I''m not convinced and Brum fans definitely left in thousands never to return.
16. Adding a tier to the city stand would be possible as we own the road outside. Corner fills are too expensive as you need curved steel etc. so would not be financial as sensible as a new tier on top of the City stand. As for filling it, 40 % of City fans travel more than an hour (each way) to see the side every other week, we''d easily fill 30''000 / 35''000 in the premiership as long as we kept the ticketing policy. People are wanting Sullivan or Gold to invest but would you be happy with a 50% plus increase in tickets, as that is want happened at Birmingham hence the drop in crowds they had. I''m not sure.....
17. Presumably if we are found innocent we can expect some compensation for the slander..... thought not. Col Utd''s chairman needs to shut up and let professionals decide.
18.
Gowling has been running his mouth off again... http://www.gazette-news.co.uk/sport/headlines/4754214.Cowling_urges_authorities_to_make_an_example_of_Norwich/ Found this bit interesting: “We felt it could be settled. “I wanted to go to Paul Lambert with the idea of a money plus players agreement. “I don’t want to elaborate any more than that but we were declined the chance to do that by Norwich City and we were not allowed to speak to him.” Cheeky sod! No wonder we told him where to go.
What a pathetic little idiot this clown is..... just right for Col Utd in fact. Can you imagine any other chairman ringing up an ex-manager to agree which player he wants. I suggest he goes back to the Sunday league he obviously is more use to. LOL!
19. I''d suggest the responses are to do with their chairman & their attitude to us.
20. "we gave him permission to talk to you but on the condition that no deal could be made for his services until the clubs had agreed compensation. This is where it all falls down. Knowing that a compensation agreement would not be settled in a short space of time, Lambert resigned (whether off his own back or at the suggestion of NCFC I doubt we shall ever know). Those two points will be the cases that are presented at the tribunal I would think. " Not missing the point at all Mr Up. You have to prove that we made him an offer before he resigned. I doubt you can & therefore without evidence it will fail. It is simply a matter of compensation (or not) and I guess Norwich think that there is no way you''ll get what you are asking for so are willing to go to a tribunal. You stated "a remedy which we are advised might be particulary relevant in this case". How if it''s never been done before? How is it relevant? It''s just petty posturing by a very bitter chairman and does you no credit whatsoever. At the end of the day your chairman stupidily opened the door for Lambert to leave & his dented pride is fuelling this petty dispute. All the noise seems to be coming from your baord, ours seems remarkably calm. Anyway, you have a nice weekend you hear & enjoy your game (whoever your playing).
21. Rumour has it that the chairman of Colchester Utd is starring in the new Twilight New Moon flick as they couldn''t find a moody teenager to sulk quite as petulantly......
22.
Ah, the usual messageboard replies start to surface now........ the one''s with no constructive points to make and a shocking disregard for the English language. Must mean school''s finished for the day........ anyway, back to the discussion. As one of the more realistic members of your forum pointed out, the problem stems from compensation not being agreed before Lambert became your manager. This is why there has been 6 months worth of haggling between the clubs and why, as there has been no resolution, the tribunal has been invoked. They will decide the rights or wrongs of everyones actions and decide how much compensation is due and also if any further action against NCFC should be handed out. The sad thing is that if your club have acted wrongly, then most of you seem to completely condone the fact, which to followers of the U''s just seems like arrogance........
Hmmmm... "or else you''re all going to have to invest in large tubes of KY jelly and be prepared to bend over to earn the money to help the club out." Those sort of usual messagebaord replies? Very constructive I must say. Your mum must be soooooooooo proud! The problem stems from Lambert resigning after you gave us permission to speak to him, therefore it can only be assumed (being as that is what you are doing) that your chairman went back on an agreement or was being unreasonable. We then offered him the job. If you can''t prove that and I can''t see how you can then your beef is with Lambert if anyone. You''re right about the tribunal and it''s a pity you are releasing petty little statements like " we think a points deduction is appropriate..." rather than waiting for the decision. I presume that if the decision goes out way you''ll be apologising then? yeah right.....
23. They are one pompous club, QUOTE ""The FDC has the power to award Colchester compensation and deduct points from Norwich, a remedy which we are advised might be particularly relevant in this case." Who advised you? Sir Allen Stanford?
