Thank Christ I''m going away for a few weeks to avoid this juvenile tripe.....It''s already forgotten that we''re in Division Three it seems and come May mid table will be heralded as a success. Delia Smith wins again........
Could I be the first to wish you a very happy trip.  In fact, why don''t you take a really extended holiday and come back after the season finishes? That way you would be able to criticise the management, Board, players and supporters with the benefit of full 20/20 hindsight and without the inconvenience of watching any football (or is it listening to commentaries?).
What you blindly see in your little Deliarite bubble isn''t what I am prepared to tolerate nor pay good money to endure.... Sitting on your hands and slavishly supporting Smith''s low grade tripe doesn''t make you anything more than a gullible fool I''m afraid... and certainly doesn''t give you any personal kudos. Being at a game simply involves the exchange of money and nothing else...so why the girlish moral high ground claim then? Unlike so many on here NCFC isn''t my "best friend in the whole wide world" without whom I couldn''t survive on a weekly basis (get it into perspective ffs) ... but I''ll no doubt be back at CR when Smith has departed... It will be me who chooses that particular time though ... not anyone else. Yes thank you... I will enjoy my stay in the sun and let''s hope the fish are as easy to catch out there as Delia Smith finds when reeling in you lot. However.....  I hope they have considerably more fight in them..........
Also, I''ve heard so many reasons from so called supporters as to why they wont be attending this coming season.  Makes me think one thing.  Fair weather fans???

 3.
Sorry Freebie, but that is now almost 1700 posts that you have made, every single one slating anything and everything to do with the club. Are you ever even remotely positive about the club you supposedly support? I think pretty-much everyone recognises that friendlies mean jack, and that the real stuff starts next week - but that is not to say we shouldn''t be able to venture into the new season with a degree of optimism. And I equally have no doubt you would be singing from a completely different songbook about the significance of pre-season had we had a poor one. IMO if any City supporter can''t take even the remotest positive from the goings on this summer, there is very little hope for them.
Damn bloomin right [Y][Y]
 4.
Ridiculous post , have you looked at any other pre season results , Charlton beating Ipswich ,Leeds winning away at Burnley , Orient thrashing Newcastle 6-1 , it all means absolutely nothing .Gunn relegated this club last season and he will not take it back to the Championship this season ,wait untill the real action gets underway thn you will see just how bad a manager the bloke is .
Oooh, I wonder who posted this...........[|-)][|-)]
 5.
no humble pie My Dad pasted away five years ago but always said that Bryan Gunn would be a great manager for NCFC. So when he was announced back in Jan I couldnt believe it and have always wanted it to work, even after relegation.
[Y][Y]
 6.

Following a good unbeaten pre season, I have a feeling that a few of the vociferous Gunn out brigade from last season may well be choking on their ridiculous, hate filled words come the new season. Sure, we haven''t played a "competetive" match yet, but the early signs are extremely encouraging. Gunn and his team have abviously targeted the areas of the squad that need improving (i.e all of it) and have not just made the numbers of the squad up, but have actually put a lot of thought into the blending of the players as a team.  We can already see several decent partnerships in the side, and these will only improve as the season progresses.  I was always very pro Gunn from the outset, which led to me being on the receiving end of some ridiculous abuse on this message board.  I hope and pray that Gunny and team carry on the brilliant work thus far into the new season, and make some of these people (Row, Loan City FC, that wrestler bloke, First Wizard plus a ton of others) have their offensive little statements toward Gunny and myself stuck back down their throats.
Oh do behave No Quarter. A good pre-season means nothing, its next week and after what counts, if Gunn does well and gets us out of this league, I''ll put my hands up and apologise, however, if not..................[:|]
I wouldn''t say it means nothing, surely going into a new season having won a few pre season matches enables you to hit the ground running.  Surely the players will be more confident following yesterdays win, than they would if we''d been spanked 6-0??  If we do have a good season and get promoted, I want you to issue a hand written apology to Gunny and his family following the dispicable things you have written about them, and then make your way to the City Hall for a public flogging [:)]
You should be aware that I enjoy a good flogging especially in public![;)]
Is that flogging or dogging??[:P][:P]
 7.
It was a friendly Wiz and nothing can be gleaned from it......... Our new signings are desperate to be noticed at this stage and will have played like enthusiastic little minnows against the Wigan "big boys" ( a joke in itself). Lets wait until the real thing tests them and the reasons why they are other clubs'' rejects comes to light.... and Gunn once again shows why he took us down after 19 games and should never have been given the job. It''s going to be a hard slog this season and both players and followers will soon discover they aren''t as mighty a force as they currently (and naively) think. 12th place at best.......
YEAH *punches the air and clenches fists*, you''ve got me really up for the new season.  Blimey, I would imagine they employed you as a motivational speaker during the war......
 8. We had stared relegation in the face for several seasons, and it was no fluke that we got relegated with arguably the worst City team I have ever witnessed.  Roeder had assembled this team, not for the benefit of NCFC, but for the benefit of himself, and his relationship with his premiership manager buddies.  He took premiership loan players on, as a favour to his "mates", to get them fit, give them match time and  possibly put them in the shop window.  He had no interest in the history or future of NCFC whatsoever, just his own reputation with his peer group.  Relegation cannot be blamed on Gunny.  It would have taken something of biblical proportions to have motivated that bunch of mercenaries into playing their socks off for Norwich City (a club those players couldn''t care less about).    What we have now however, is a manager who has the interests of NCFC 100% at heart, who is well aware of the history of the club (he and his team were a huge part of it personally), and has rebuilt a squad with this in mind. The players he has signed obviously see NCFC as a step up in their careers, rather than a step down and a bit of a giggle whilst earning a fortune. And he has been backed by a new board, who have clearly identified the failings of the previous board.  I believe this will be a recipe for success next season.  And yes, of course I''m point scoring and being petty with my original post.  The aggro I received by my pro Gunn stance last season was ridiculous, and now seeing the tide changing slightly on this board with more positive posts about Gunn, who wouldn''t do the same??

 10.
I''m not anti-Gunn. But the last time I checked you dont win anything in August. I recommend posting this again in April or May.
Where have I said that we HAVE won anything?  I''m just stating that we''ve had a good pre season, made significant improvements to the squad, and that I hope this continue throughout next season.  My point is that I bet all the hardcore Gunn out crew are getting a wee bit nervous about the new season, and probably wish they hadn''t been quite so vociferous with their opinions.........

 12. At the tail end of last season, there was only me and a small handful of other posters who backed Gunn to succeed in the long run.  it would now appear that more and more people are now saying what I was saying last season, and that is that no matter what peoples pre conceived ideas of Gunny were, it can be in no doubt that he has the very best interest of the club at heart.  Also, you dont have a career like he, Butters, Crooky and Dixie have had, without picking up a huge amount of managerial knowledge on the way.  I was and am 100% behind Gunny and the rest of the team, and hope that they can shove it down the throats of some of the quite dispicable anti Gunn merchants on here.  some of the flak I took when I came out pro Gunn was ridiculous, and I cannot wait for some of these posters to eat their words next season.
 13. If anyone''s interested, I suppose they could always make him an offer.
 14. Don''t know if this is the correct place to put this, but i have a friend who has 3 upper barclay tickets for the Colchester match for sale.  £20 each I believe.  If anyone''s interested PM me and I''ll pass on his phone number.
 15.
we love you grant holt if its quite alright we love you grant holt give him the ball and he''ll scorrrrrreeeeee ! (repeat)
Possibly the most rubbish song idea of all time, but that''s aside.  Do I know you/had a run in with you, as I see you mention me in your sig.  I don''t recall, but it must have been something quite upsetting to you.  Oh and another thing, referring to me as a MORE ON is more ironic than I could ever describe......
 16.

Smudger (or whatever), I recall seeing you at the protest at the tail end of last season (it was the second to last game of the season - the evening KO that we lost, cant remember who it was against) and you were singing PRO ROBERT CHASE songs.  Now, my opinion of you previous to this night was quite meh, but after witnessing that, you went totally off the radar of my estimations.  If you were or are a fan of Robert Chase, either you didnt attend the matches when we saw our premiership topping side dis-assembled and therefore were not one of the hardcore mixing it with the police horses after the Liverpool home game, or you are simply an attention seeking moron.  Hmmm.  So anything you spout forthwith is now taken with an enormous pinch of salt.  Chase lover.
I have never sang a pro Chase song in my life... unless it was a sarcastic chant implying that Delia makes the awful Chase look like an angel I think you are well wide of the mark.
Mmm....apart from when I saw you singing one.....

 18. Don''t worry American City fans, you have just fallen foul of the Norfolk approach of "you int from rewnd hair, you doont spell prarpa, bloody Yanks etc etc etc".  I for one go to the states every year, and have found American''s nothing less than very genuine and extremely welcoming.  Your opinion on City is just as valid as the Mr Norfolk "never leave the county" types.
 19. It''s amazing. When I heralded the appointment of Gunn as a good thing, I was lambasted from all angles, was referred to as a c**t, and told to "go and slit my own throat"........
 20.
simply summed it up too well
Is it me you are referring to in your sig??
 21. I would love to be affiliated/connected with a "real" football club such as Dartford.  Even if it means playing each other every pre season and no more.  I would rather be "friends" with a club like that, than try chasing/kissing the arse of some Premiers**t "feeder" club.  I really hope Dartford have a great season, and that we have a good laugh/p*ss up with their loyal fans tomorrow.  Bring it on.  Come on Dartford!!  (except tomorrow!!!)
 22.
And if we had new owners i would expect Gunn to be given his marching orders , biggest joke of a manager this club has ever had .
[|-)][|-)][|-)]
 23. I know who the ginger twins are, I also remember when they first appeared in the Barclay a few years ago BOTH IN REPLICA SHIRTS.  The term ginger twins came from a few of the "faces" who were taking the piss out of them, and they looked all rosy cheeked like Prince Harry and Prince William.  I remember the first one stood up and some point and everyone chanted "Ginger, ginger" at him, then the other one stood up, was greeted by a cheer and "Ginger number 2, ginger ginger number 2".   They appeared in this manner for some time, before they started hanging round the murderers, trying to "get in" with the big boys, and wearing Stone Island jackets and Auascutum hats.  They''ve probably been used as cannon fodder  by the big boys for a while, and have ended up in a few scrapes as a result.  I think the original poster is a fraud however.
