1. Lambert, every time.  Whats the love for Boothroyd all about??
 2. Cheers guys.  looks like it''s just north of Pasadena at the moment, and the fire fighters are trying to stave it off before it moves any further South. Yeah, terrible news about the two fire fighters, dying trying to protect others.  Death Valley will certainly be a scorcher, I''ll be all hats, sun screen and air con in the motor!  Cheers to blahblahblah for the map - very handy! I dont leave until the weekend, so I''ll keep checking up to then.  Let me know if you hear anything else from your end HC.  Thanks in advance!!    P.S I''m still waiting on a reply from the Cat N Fiddle regarding the MK Dons game, I''ll let you know should it be on!!
 3. Nothing to do with football, so I''m bound to get flamed from the cyber police, but I couldn''t give a s**t.  Hollywood Canary, how bad are the fires over your way??  I''m gonna be there in just over a week, and it looks pretty bad from this end.  I''m going into San Fran on Saturday, then down to LA via Yosemite and Death Valley.  Am I going to get fried??
 4.
the ones in the wigs, facepaint  and that are part of the happy clappy delia brigade yes.
What, children?  Yeah, who needs them enjoying themselves when they go for a day out eh?
 5. I remember Newcastle fans invading the pitch at Carrow Road years ago.  I was a small boy standing in the river end, and remember all of a sudden seeing about 100-150 pissed geordies who had climbed the Barclay fence running towards me.  In those days, you also had a few "chaps" in the river end, and they were quick to push theire way past evryone one in order to get on the pitch and sort em out.  Luckily, the police and stewards managed to intercept the newcastle fans by forming a line in front of out penalty area.  Bloody scary though.  Oh yeah, the invasion at the end of the milk cup semi was legendary!  I remember seeing Ipswich fans climbing round the fence that segregated the fans in the Barclay, and jumping into the Norwich section feet first.  Whwn we won the Canon league title in 86 (I think), we all went on the pitch, but that was very good natured. The river end ran to the Barclay to help the Barclay boys scale the fence, then everyone legged it down to the makeshift players tunnel (the main stand still hadn''t been rebuilt), and the players came out with champagne.  Happy days!
 6. Strictly pleasure!! My wife and I try and get over every year.  Love it!! Going to a Dodgers game could be interesteing as well!
 7. Yeah, The Cat & Fiddle was where I was planning on going as i''m staying on Sunset anyway.  I might send them an email.  I''ll let you know what they say.  See you for an early pint if its on!
 8. I will be in Los Angeles on 14th September when the MK Dons match is on Sky.  Will it be televised anywhere in the LA area??
 9. Oh big suprise, just seen the tv report and they''re all fat and forty.....
 10. So, West Ham play Millwall on a Tuesday night, yet the "old farm" derby is always played at 12pm on a Sunday.  How can this be?
 11.

I dont mean that to sound patronising either.
How long have you been going to games? Serious question and likewise I''m not being patronising. Those sort of chants have been par for the course for as long as I can remember. Certainly they lack imagination but they''re just standard
28 years.  Of course I know every chant in the book, I had a hand in coming up with some of them.  It''s the fact it''s directed at Wycombe fans.  Oh whatever!  Do you ever wish you''d never openened your mouth about something?  I do now!
 12. Fair enough.  I suppose I dont want us to be seen as some kind of arrogant Championship/Premiership wannabe set of supporters.  Yep, in the Premiership and most of the championship take the p*ss to our hearts content, as we''ve always done.  Maybe I''m just being a worry guts wuss!
 13. At the game yesterday, I was getting pee''d off with the "who are ya" etc etc etc chants aimed at the Wycombe fans.  It annoyed me because Wycombe fans, as well as a lot of League 1 supporters are "real" football fans, and I have a lot of respect for them for sticking with their local side and following them around the country.  Fair enough Leeds Utd, as they are w**kers, but on the whole, lets try and forge some positive relations with some of these clubs and fans.  I dont mean that to sound patronising either.
 14. Maybe it''s just me, but I thought Jamie played well yesterday.  Used the ball well, brought others into play and seemed to have a good understanding with McVeigh.  Wish he''d scored, would have capped off a good performance.  But yeah, Cody looked sharp when he came on also.
 15. This all stems from the Milk Cup final 85.  The atmosphere was unbelievable.  After the game both sets of fans shook hands and swapped hats and scarves.  I still have my Sunderland hat in a drawer. I also remember a load of Sunderland fans turning up in the old barclay a few years later.  I think their match had been postponed ,so a load of them jumped on a train and came to support Norwich.  Brilliant set of fans.  Just hope the modern "chav" type fans are aware of the history between our 2 clubs, and try and maintain it.
 16.

Did anyone else notice that there was no "Paul Lamberts Green and Yellaaaaaarmy" chants yesterday?  Out of respect to Gunny do you think?
Guess you couldnt hear the chants on telly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What?
Like i said, sitting there with ya fosters and cheese snadwich at 22.45 last night, didnt you hear the chants on tv?????
Nope, I didnt roll in until 1.30 this morning after that win!  I''ll look on iplayer.

 19. I saw a comedian the other week on tv, and he said about people being offended by things.  "So your''e offended....and....what actually happens?  You''re just offended, it doesn''t change anyhing and nothing actually happens...you''re just offended".  Thought it was quite funny and very true.
 20.
Frank Sinatra''s Love And Marriage for Goran Maric? Something likeā€¦ Goran Maric, Goran Maric, He left Spain and now he plays for Norwich, Let me tell you, brother, If he scores one, he''ll score another.
Quality!  "Came from Spain" rolls off the tongue a bit easier, and Norwich could be Naaaarich (bit of self piss taking, plus it ryhmes better)
 21.
You seem to be fixated with mortaltiy, shuffling off this mortal coil, old chap. Strangely, a topic I never mentioned or aluded to. Still it takes all sorts, eh?
Major Bumhole
 22.

Wiz has changed his avatar picture to one of Paul Lambert.  That to me is a ringing endorsement of the new manager.  I am also very pleased with the appointment, but ooh, whats Wiz gonna do if results don''t pick up.  He won''t be able to say "I told you so".....interesting...
I think it''s also a vote of confindence in the board and an indication of his wish to have an affair with Delia.
ha ha!
