  1. Injuries or no injuries Smith is certainly giving everyone a chance. Good man manager.
  2. In my nightmares this is the game where Norwich run out of new manager momentum and the players revert to type. We historically enjoy a game at Spurs but on occasions they turn us over. Spurs are struggling for goals. Norwich haven't let in an in play goal for 2.5 games and opposition flair players have been nullified. Since running out for the 2nd half against Southampton we have played well enough to win 4 on the spin but have missed chances. But we have made chances and three leg stops in the goalmouth cost us three goals to add to the three we scored. Pukki is in form. Others are due a goal. Keep up the standards and I say we have a chance of a 2-1 win.
  3. Of course, had we been sharper in front of goal, we could be 4 points better off from the last two games. But look at our solidity, shape, pressuring, tightness to opposing players and competitiveness compared to everything up to the first half against Southampton? Look at how we play further up the pitch and on the front foot. Rashica and Sargent plus others have failed to score goals to support Pukki who remains miles ahead of his team mates in terms of vision and speed of thought. We have to involve Teemu more in linking play, we have to be quicker in the final third and we may lack the quality to do so, or maybe the confidence. But we no longer look bullied, lightweight or boys against men. Look at how we dealt with Wolves and Newcastle powerful flair players. They were snuffed out. This solidity and consistency, this reduction in chances and goals against has to be the starting point and I personally feel proud of our players who are achieving it. All the talk now is about our lack of goals, before it was how many we were letting in. Newcastle were at home with a new manager present for the first time. They were fired up. We handled that. They won a penalty and lifted the crowd. We came back. We all want more but I honestly don't understand the moaning. We are no longer 'adrift' and I didn't expect that. Get behind our fighting team!
  4. A draw is 4 games unbeaten and a point at a rival's ground. We continue to improve.
  5. Giannoulis looked like a man reborn, he made a difference.
  6. Josh Sargent must be a Democrat because truly is a donkey.
  7. I regularly went to away games in the late 70's with Lilly, Patsy and Co. This was generally our only away support. I have very fond memories of the cameraderie and that is down to Lilly Kemp. Best wishes to her, and her family.
  8. Organised (after a half-time talk). Better balance of defence and attack. Spirit and giving supporters something to back. Set piece goal. Full back assist. Timely subs. In game tactical changes.
  9. I am delighted for our players today. A win is a win and they found a way to win. They showed lots of heart, worked their socks off, showed some nous to break up the game and there were some genuine sparks of really good play. But on another day, constantly giving the ball back to the opposition and inviting pressure would have seen us continue to give goals away and until Idah came on we failed to show enough threat on the break. So lets not get carried away. Having said that, the players will get a big lift and the bonds will increase. Confidence is a massive thing. So, lets go crazy and celebrate but there is still an awful lot to do. Why we can't carry the ball better from our final third or put our forwards in is still a big question. Well done Adam Idah and Raschica on that score. We need more of the same.

  11. The last time Norwich stood up in the EPL we were led by Grant Holt, a National League player who did a Rocky Balboa. And there are many other examples of players who stand up and step up in our history and in the present and past of myriad Clubs. But who do Norwich City have now? Where is the mindset that makes us exceed the sum of our parts? Where are the players who can walk the walk not just talk a good game? Do we really have none? Are they all just a bunch of fairies? No other Club would tolerate this, especially the supporters. Where is the character. God, I even yearn for some of the dour 'don't get beat' Hughton football and I never thought I'd say that.

  13. Norwich turned down a shirt sponsor on morality grounds. Other Clubs just take the money. Perhaps we should trump them all and accept a bid from a CCP backed consortium? Yellow is a lucky colour in China. This sale and the upcoming world Cup in Qatar shows just what a shallow, sheep like, morally bankrupt bunch kneeling footballers are. Actions speak louder and their consciences are always for sale.
  14. Lazy ball watchers not prepared to get tight or put their foot in.
  15. Because the players keep making the same errors, keep switching off and keep conceding the same way. Farke MUST be coaching against this. The players are not listening. Perhaps they don't believe in the approach at EPL level?
  16. The players have stopped listening to Farke. Most of them owe him a great deal but, they have stopped listening. When this happens the manager is totally hobbled.
  17. Naismith played for, a big club. Gilmour came from Chelsea, Williams from Man Utd. One was useless to us, the other two are rookies. It doesn't matter where players come from. It comes down to right Club/right time.
  18. I wouldn't be surprised to see a big money sale tomorrow before the window closes. I could take losing Todd Cantwell. I think we have plenty of cover and might prefer to play a less attacking midfield. I'd prefer not to lose Max Aarons. Also, might see Omobamidele or Idah off on loans to the Championship.
  19. Those low balls in from wide account for most of our goals conceded.
