  1. Chelsea should have gone home shirt, away shorts and socks.
  2. So winning the Championship doesn't provide an exemption like the Asian Games did for Heung-Min Son!
  3. Meeting has been cancelled, need to find another excuse ASAP.
  4. Committee meeting for the school PTA, will be presenting the accounts for 2020/21 academic year for approval.
  5. Current Sky deal runs until 2024, up to 118 Championship matches during the main season, then all playoffs.
  6. Football League is all on Sky, so no need for BT to watch City next season. I've got a deal on a NowTV Sports pass, pay £25 per month, and that includes all the Sky Sports Channels. You can pay an extra £5 per month for Boost that allows up to 3 devices (across multiple addresses) to stream at the same time, so if you club together it's effectively only £10 per month.
  7. I'm currently struggling to find excuses to make the effort to go to games, there's a lot of apathy in this corner of Buckinghamshire.
  8. Goes a long way to validate how Cantwell was handled by Farke, at the time I questioned it as a clash of personalities. But now this is the 3rd manager in a year that hasn't been able to get him ticking.
  9. Fairly certain that Chris Goreham made reference to it not being full in his commentary.
  10. The in-laws live in Westfield, a very quiet part of the world, but only 5 minutes from Dereham and 30 from Norwich. Seems a nice part of Norfolk.
  11. On Thursday night we entered a social media and news blackout at 7.30pm (did the kids bedtime, food shop, had dinner, watched The Apprentice) and then watched the Sky full re-run of the Chelsea match at 10.30pm as if it was live not knowing the score.
  12. Because our forwards train against our defenders, and our defenders against our forwards!
  13. With such a short notice change it wasn't possible to make it last night, although to be honest midweek games are just not feasible full stop really with a young family and living 3 hours from Norwich. Originally our tickets were going to be taken by family, but due to illness they couldn't make it. Put the tickets on Buyback on Wednesday, but can't imagine that they sold.
  14. Play Gunn tonight, give Krul another week to make sure he's fully recovered. Gunn will be out to prove a point tonight.
  15. Nothing is needed for U18s, although no harm in doing an LFT before going.
  16. No longer living in London I've not been an active member for many years, but through the Capital Canaries we had the opportunity to meet with Delia and Michael quite regularly, plus other board members and occasionally players too at the AGM. However my anecdote takes us back to 30th April 2013 and a rather impromptu trip to the British Academy of Film and Television Arts to see Delia being awarded a tribute in recognition of her outstanding career in television (more details here: https://www.bafta.org/television/features/bafta-tribute-to-delia-smith). This all came about as Mrs J works in the world of television and they were handing out tickets around her office that afternoon. I have very little memory about the award, however afterwards had a good 15 minute conversation with Michael over a beer for me and I believe a glass of red for MWJ. For those who remember dates, you recall that Norwich had played Chelsea the night before at Carrow Road in the first leg of the Youth Cup final and I can still picture MWJ, in his slightly bumbling voice and glass of wine in hand, saying "It made such a nice change to watch some attacking football". Of course we were in the depths of our magical 11th place Premier League finish under Chris Hughton at the time, but I agree with Michael that it was certainly not the most exciting of football. I tweeted about the evening at the time, and somehow this lead to Mick Dennis blocking me as he disagreed with something I said. Fortunately I'm still blocked by Mr Dennis until this day, so some good came out of the evening. Here's a photo from earlier in the evening with Delia at the lectern.
  17. I don't believe any other clubs have asked supporters to upload documentation, they have only had to declare that they will bring either proof of vaccination or LFT/PCR test result with them, plus will not attend if suffering from any Covid symptoms. Norwich like to do things differently, so not surprised we have gone about things in a more complex way.
  18. Not sure how many games he'd played at left back before joining us, but I can only assume he was brought in to cover for any late offer that was too tempting for Max Aarons so that we had a right back option. Maybe our only faint hope at survival is to cash in on Aarons, use this money to buy an over priced lower league forward who knows where the goal is, and play Williams at right back.
  19. We had to queue for a couple of minutes at around 1415 at the back of the River End. It was a bit of a muddle, there were multiple Covid Marshalls checking along queues from different directions and it then wasn't clear to the person by the entrance to the pre-turnstile gated off area whether people had already provided evidence or not.
  20. I will take a LFT late on Christmas Day, ready to set off early to Norfolk on Boxing Day. I've done the same before every match I've been to this season.
  21. This is the situation at Brighton for tonight.
  22. I believe the Premier League guidance will require everyone to certify online that they are either double vaccinated or have received a negative test result (either LFT or PCR) within 48 hours of kick-off. This will be linked to the season ticket / membership card / paper ticket and will only allow entry at the turnstile if this self-certification has been completed. On top of this, random checks will be carried out to check that people are correctly self-certifying, either using the Covid Pass App, letter, negative test email / SMS or exemption certificate.
  23. Thirteen confirmed cases, including 8 players.
  24. A few years back I was in Turin and went to a Juventus match. They won easily, Tevez scored if I recall correctly. At fulltime I did my usual, a few claps and headed for the exit. To my surprise pretty much everyone stayed in their seats and started a good old singsong. I've no idea what they were singing, or whether they would do it had they of lost, but it was very different to how things are back home.
