  1. I would expect something like this from Arsenal, if that match had already of happened. "We began our preparations for the Premier League restart with a behind-closed-doors friendly against Watford, which saw the Championship side run out 4-2 victors. The game at London Colney was a first chance for those members of our first-team not at the World Cup to get some minutes under their belts since beating Wolves three weeks ago, and goals from Marquinhos and Eddie Nketiah saw us lead 2-1 at the break. However, after we made 10 changes at the break, the victors - who also began at full-strength - managed to overturn the deficit to pick up a timely win ahead of the resumption of their league season next weekend."
  2. There was some talk before the World Cup break that Norwich would be facing a team that they had already played this season in a behind closed doors friendly before the season restarts this coming weekend. Does anyone know whether this has happened, or is going to happen in the next couple of days? A number of other clubs have posted highlights of similar games, such as Watford getting a decent 4-2 win against Arsenal at London Colney.
  3. Wes was one of the first to do it at Norwich, he would actually tape on the top upside down. Apparently it is so they can wear a sock that they are comfortable in, not the football sock supplied by Nike, Umbro, Joma, etc.. In this photo you can see Wes' socks compared to Kei Kamara.
  4. Pleased about Boxing Day, I can now go to the Aldershot Panto matinee performance to see Uncle Tom as one of the Ugly Sisters without being scowled at for continuously looking at Twitter updates on my phone. There will be plenty of time to get home, have a good spread of food, and then watch the match. Perfect. As for Blackburn and the clash with the Strictly final...
  5. Had a lot of the furniture for our new bathroom delivered yesterday, so sorted through that to make sure all was present and correct.
  6. The aircraft that took the squad up to Manchester is now scheduled to depart back to Norwich at 1400 tomorrow instead of 2300, so I would say that confirms it.
  7. I think the 'King' part will be fine, but 'her' to 'him' will be troublesome! I think one guy near me still sings Worthy's Green Army.
  8. Standing on the terrace having a moment of reflection followed by singing the national anthem vs staying at home and most likely doing some DIY on the house. I know which one is more patriotic and what should be the case, but imagine it will end up being the latter. RIP Your Magesty.
  9. Far from a fool. He signed wee Billy at Brighton, so that's one less issue for him to solve at Chelsea!
  10. Championship is only paused for the group stages.
  11. I think there should be an extended window for these players to be loaned. Just a few days, a week maybe, after the 25 man squads are initially announced.
  12. The three minute videos in YouTube from Sky are great.
  13. I can remember watching the away leg of the Milan game at school too.
  14. As a season ticket holder that can't routinely get to midweek games, I'd like to see the option to get a free stream instead of the potential for ÂŁ15 if the club can resell my ticket.
  15. The strike on the 30th is unlikely to have the same impact as the one a few weeks back or the 27th, but I'd still be very cautious of attempting to go by train.
  16. Don't think the club will be able to show any Championship matches in the UK, Sky have exclusive rights.
  17. It reminded me very much of our 7-0 win over Huddersfield in the crazy April snow towards the end of our last promotion season.
  18. The woman's game has improved a lot since the top leagues in Europe went professional. I'll certainly watch it if it's on, I thought last night England were a little overwhelmed by the occasion, but a win is a win, and the men's team have often struggled in the first group match of a tournament. I've got tickets for the final at Wembley, it should be a great occasion whoever makes it, but really looking forward to taking the kids to the (new) home of football, something I certainly wouldn't do for the men's senior team.
  19. Guessing it was filmed when the Nations League matches were being played, so that would explain some the likes of Krul and Hanley.
  20. Celtic away when Holty got a dodgy offside late winner was a couple of good days out on the beers in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
  21. I'll have to get my fix of Dauphin when driving through Wendover from now on (assuming no DPD van in the way).
  22. From what I've seen he's planning on buying out Michael Foulger.
  23. I'm sure that was exactly the reason, the game was nicely on the City Stand side of the pitch too.
