1. Oh, and also... Grayhound Paddon Phil "Good" Boyer & Steen Nedergaard - The Great Dane
 2. Wolfswinkel? Apparently the dog''s b0ll0cks.

Or that they were in any way big and brave? Those atrocities you mention are equally dispicable.
It''s when people keep on saying unarmed peaceful demonstration, this gets people like me who were there feel very bitter towards people who make such statements, Why well because I for one Saw Martin Maguinnes in front of the marchers carrying A F.......g Thomson Machine gun, if this was a peaceful march why have this gun on show,  My last word on the subject
Fair enough, you have one view, others have another. We''ll leave it there.
The difference being that Pete''s "view" is forged out of experience rather than being...well, plucked out of the air perhaps?
 5.
I don''t swallow this "real fan" shite anymore. We come in all shapes and sizes.   As a teenager I was incapable of missing one second of the Carrow Road action, real games, reserve games, friendly games. I pitched my tent in the car park for convenience.   We move on, we age .......  dur, dur, dur. The good, the bad and the ugly of priorities raise their heads at regular intervals.    Nowadays I plan all the logistics of going to a game (mostly in the London area now unfortunately) to the n''th degree and it is no longer a case of blind adherence to the cause as far as I am concerned. I''ve done my bit and now weigh up the pros and cons on the day. Streams induce absence to be honest.   IMO supporting the Canaries should be a pleasure, not a penance and I intend keeping it that way. Therefore I am now longer a true supporter in the eyes of some. So what?
[Y]

Yes, but if you have a choice would you rather watch Norwich beat Man.U or Norwich beat Doncaster? I support Norwich and only Norwich, and don''t care what league were in or who we are playing. But if I had a choice, i''d choose Premiership so we could go up against the best teams and beat them. The chance to beat Man.U is much more appealing than Scunthorpe...
Thanks Ginge, exactly what I was going to say - you''ve summed it up perfectly. [Y]
That''s true to a point but I know that it''s difficult to predict which game is most worth the money. You can only decide that after you''ve been. If all your favourite games have been against big names then I would suggest that it''s those teams that attract you. Middlesboro at home 04/05 being an example of what I''m trying to say.
Fair enough Nutty, but I''m NOT suggesting that my favourite games have been against the big names, just that I want to see my team taking on, competing with, and beating the top teams in the league. A NCFC win against any team is a joy to behold, but who doesn''t really get even more excited by the possibility of beating the best? It is natural that more people will want to attend these games, for all number of reasons, and yeah, some of those will be attracted by the big name opposition players also, but I think a lot of those on here suggesting that anyone that does is a lesser supporter are simply playing the "I''m a better fan than you" card.
Ooops - should read "I''m NOT suggesting"! [:)]

 9. Apologies if this has already been posted, but there is some interesting stats here: www.eplindex.com/21494/put-me-in-coach-grant-holt-statistically-compared-england-strikers.html
 10. I feel the same way Indy. A lot of overreaction and premature angst is being displayed. Aside from one horror show I''ve seen us narrowly miss out on beating our last three opponents - not narrowly avoiding defeat against them. But for a little bit of luck and some better finishing we could/would have won any or all three of the last games. It''s fine margins, and too early at this stage of the season to be panicking or fretting, just as if we had won those games it would be too early to start dreaming of a top 4 finish!
 11. Let''s hope he''s not a Windy Miller from Trumpton. Or was that Camberwick Green?
 12. As long as he isn''t just on the gravy train.
 13. I have no beef with Hughton. He knows his onions.
 14.
Four points off the bottom four with a great squad. I''m not surprised they sacked him if they felt the same way that some of us are feeling now. His team was underperforming and the Newcastle board saw that, acted and haven''t looked back since.
Alternatively, four points off the top six. [^o)]
 15.

Effectivly telling OUR players they''re not good enough and you don''t attack at places like Fulham, Fulham ffs!   These are the actions and words of a coward, and we need a brave strong leader with a backbone...........and gagging the players will work wonders for their morale..........and there goes the dressing room.   MacNally needs to dump the 3 stoogers quicker than a hot brick or face yet more, and even worse, humiliation. [:@]
I hope the irony of someone hiding behind a user name on an internet message board to call someone in the public eye a "coward" isn''t lost on anyone.  It''s easy to use these big words when you''re not accountable for them.Yes we were dreadful yesterday but we had dreadful days under Lambert (Sunderland, Blackburn etc.) and Hughton deserves a chance to sort it out.  What he says to the media and what he does with the team are two different things and I suggest we judge him on Saturday''s performance and the reaction of the players. Now Wiz, presuming you are not a coward yourself, perhaps you''d like to make your strong views and feelings known in person at next Saturday''s match?
Ironic indeed."The coward''s weapon, poison." John Fletcher
 16.

"Look, if you name the player in a PM or something I''ll back off and apologise for my behaviour. You could be telling the truth, but I''m fed up of people posting rumours but not confirming their sources." Seems pretty demanding to me Gareth. As I said, why should he risk his source''s friendship or job for you?
Because I''m special [:P]In all honesty? He shouldn''t, looking back at that it certainly wasn''t my finest hour. I think spending time on this message board has made me rather cynical about all transfer news (looking at you BW) and I lashed out at someone, who lets face it, doesn''t take part in the usual stirring. So I''m really sorry for my actions and essentially calling him a liar, especially when he has done nothing to deserve it. I''m a big enough man to admit when I''m wrong and I was wrong. He has my apology, it''s up to him to accept it now, although he has no pressure to do so.
Good man, could do with more posters who admit when they are in the wrong.
Very true - well done Gareth. You may well be proved right or wrong in time - but does it really matter? It''s good though to see someone with a little humility that isn''t afraid to back down when they feel they are in the wrong, rather than the usual petulant responses more often seen on here. [Y]
 17.
Zak Whitbread, avoids driving ban for clocking up 17 points on his licence, as he needs to find new employer. He got these points in october 2011 and jan 2012. he wasnt seeking new employers then, so surely there is no excuse! And the fine was pathetic for a premier league footballer.
Yeah, but to be fair, even ex-Premier League footballers can''t afford to travel by train. [;)]
 18.

It will interesting to see how he develops as a City supporter, one half of me hopes he fails, the other half loves him for the job he done here and wishes him well. It''s probably too soon yet to be completely objective about it.
I understand your dilemma I had similar when James Milner left for Man City. Lambert did a remarkable job for you and that should be remembered, perhaps it will be more in time when the anger of the manner of his exit fades. I think it will help that in his place you''ve appointed another good manager who we''ve seen a fair bit of over the last 12 months.
Yes, Hughtons appointment has really helped, I''ve got complete faith in him to do a good job for us. With that I''ll bid you goodnight. Stop by again, it''s always good to get other teams fans perspective on things. You never know, I might even be able to wish you good luck for next season at some point. Just not now! G''night :)
 19.
There is lots of talk of clauses and breach of contract but the reality is none of (City or Villa) really have a clue, I''m sure it will be resolved one way or another soon. The main problem with McLeish was that quite simply he was a terrible terrible manager who played the most negative, gutless football I''ve ever had the misfortune to watch. We won 4 home games last season and spent most the season playing with 6 defenders in the starting line up hoping to keep the score down. The media were so caught up with the fact he came from Birmingham not to realise that while that was an issue it wasn''t the main one. The main one is that is was doing a horrible job, this is a man who managed to finish 3rd with Rangers!!! You are right we did look like a relegation side at Carrow Road but we were like that all season, I was there and he would have taken us down next season. In fact he would have taken us down this season had it not been for the fact there were some terrible sides in the league this season. You are right it was a bizarre appointment and it was panic by a chairman who didn''t really know what he was looking for.
Well you won''t see negative football from a Lambert team, he''ll want to win every game, even if it means risking points here and there. But if it gets Villa Park rocking again then you''ll win more than you lose. It will interesting to see how he develops as a City supporter, one half of me hopes he fails, the other half loves him for the job he done here and wishes him well. It''s probably too soon yet to be completely objective about it.
 20. Just to add...although I think he will do well for you, I don''t expect miracles because I believe what happened under Lambert at Norwich was a kind "perfect storm" if you like...a combination of factors starting with the appointment of McNally to the board, 1-7 loss to Lambert''s Col U on the opening day in the 3rd division, the sacking of Gunn, the poaching of Lambert, the goals of Holt etc...that built a momentum that became unstoppable. The whole team and the support were full of belief.I don''t really see that happening with Villa because the expectations just might be too high to begin with, and if there is not instant success then it will be hard to build any momentum there.
 21.
Evening all, As the username suggests I''m a Villa fan visiting on your turf and here to talk about all things football and yes that includes Lambert and Hughton. I certainly understand why many Norwich fans are bitter, angry call it what you will towards both Villa and Lambert. In all honesty I would feel the same as I have done when we''ve lost some of our better players and as no doubt Colchester fans felt when you boys pinched Lambert. That is football. There were so many Villa related threads I wasn''t quite sure which one to post in :D Anyway as I say, despite the ill feeling towards my club I''m here to talk football not to bicker. I spend a fair amount of time in your part of the world and love it so happy to talk about both our clubs. I''ve always liked Norwich, even more since you recruited Hughton from Birmingham because he is a good manager and a nice bloke. Hated seeing him on the other side of the city.
Evening. and welcome. Please try not to wind up the locals here as they''re usually all too busy winding each other up.So. What are you realistically hoping for next season under Lambert, and how long will the majority of your fans give him before getting impatient if he is not an instant success?Personally, although it hurts to say it as it still stings a little in spite of landing Hughton, I think he''ll do well for you just as he did for us. It''s just a shame the way the whole affair has been conducted regards compensation, resignation etc...
 22.
Guessing that with Chris Hughton being the new Norwich manager that means Lambert has left?
Where did you hear that??? [:O]
