  1. To be fair Canarydan23, on your Webber rant which I also took the p*ss out of a bit, I am starting to wonder whether sacking Farke and massively overestimating the attractiveness of the Norwich job might risk making us look a little bit silly. Did Webber and the board think there would be a flood of applicants willing to stick Webber and Farke's relegation on their CV?
  2. Your 4000 word meltdown where you said you were thinking about giving up your season ticket because talksport made up a story about us getting Lampard definitely makes you a wet wipe.
  3. Just a PR exercise to make it look like we explored the expensive options before appointing Russell Martin.
  4. What the f*ck have I done here, will have people accusing me of suggesting John Terry for months. The actual point here was about why we should be wary of Dean Smith.
  5. Irrelevant to my point. My point is that Dean Smith achieved at Villa with John Terry, did alright at Brentford with Thomas Franks, and wouldn't be coming to Norwich with neither of them. His Villa form went downhill since Terry quit.
  6. Somebody should have told Webber that companies are finding it very difficult to recruit at the moment, my place of work is having an absolute mare.
  7. Left as assistant manager at Villa in the summer to look for a management job. Lots of Villa fans don't think its a coincidence that Villa's form has been poorer his season with him gone, a bit like Lambert going downhill when he lost Culverhouse. You don't need to tell me that I'm playing devil's advocate here, I know this is going to get a reaction. That's fine, because its actually a point about why we should consider dodging Dean Smith. He won't be coming with John Terry will he, and they achieved what they did at Villa as a pair. Should be major warning bells here, because his assistant at Brentford was Thomas Frank, and look at how good he has been since stepping up to head coach, how much did Smith depend on Frank to achieve respectable finishes at Brentford?
  8. I don't think there was ever any talk of him dishing out the handies Lakey.
  9. Did Alan Irvine fill you with confidence before he had a decent little run of games?
  10. Can't believe you missed Bobby Robson. Are Bruce, Pulis, Allardce, Dyche inherently anti-football or is there a degree of pragmatism involved where they have small budgets and therefore know they can't be purists or too precious about getting the ball down and playing against teams full of £30m players? I mean, Pulis is definitely anti-football, but Dyche just doing the beat he can with the resources at his disposal surely? I remember when Steve McClaren went over to Holland, a supposedly sophisticated league, and led Twente to the Eredivisie title over the likes of Ajax and PSV. Didn't Hodgson have a fair amount of success overseas too? I feel like it's a bit of a myth that English managers are inadequate, they just aren't in fashion.
  11. I don't mind the idea of a Norweigen manager because they'd likely tap into their player pool, bring a few Norweigens with them. Its a market which brings good value for money and we've had a decent record with Scandinavian players!
  12. The worst thing about Frank Lampard is having uncle Harry taking it upon himself to make his excuses for him, he's already talking down Norwich's chances to minimise expectations. Frank would need to tell old Harry to sit down and shut up.
  13. This strange attitude towards English managers is symptomatic of a wider deep self loathing in our society, it feels like some think a foreign manager is better by default because they aren't English.
  14. Who said we'd appointed Lampard? Haven't seen anything official. Is this a Talksport induced tantrum?
  15. That would be a bit embarrassing after all the media coverage. Imagine getting turned down by somebody that only about one third of Pink'un posters want as manager.
  16. What do you mean? Lampard turning us down?
  17. As it happens mate, I did regret posting a screenshot of things you said on twitter when you were like 19, that was too far and I was just as much of an idiot when I was 19, on twitter (not on there anymore). So apologies for that, sometimes I'm just a kn*bhead, but I'm not an inherently bad person or somebody who has a good enough memory to hold a grudge. As I said, the third biggest happy clapper stuff was a genuine joke, poorly timed due to the emotion of losing 7-0, and me reacting with an attempt at gallows humour without appreciating that some weren't quite ready for that, and actually, I do agree with whatever poster said you'd been largely consistent on your Lampard/Webber stance recently and I've nodded to quite a bit you've said in the last few days. CanaryDan23 has given it out just as much as he has taken it, we both got a bit too personal, he's alright, he did have an amusing man tantrum today though when Talksport convinced him we'd appointed Lampard, nice that the shoe is on the other foot this time 😂
  18. Its almost as if my thread title didn't make the subject of this thread clear enough. Despite strongly objection to this polls existence, you still decided to click on it.
