  1. Would not be entirely against just doing a Leitner with him and paying him but banning him from Colney, if we don't get a taker this month. whole family should be banished from Norfolk.
  2. He's 39 and hasn't been good since he was 35. Might as well give Holt a call while we're at it?
  3. Well the story goes that we really had to sell a player or two last summer to fill a black hole and the only firm offer on the table at one point was Leeds for Cantwell at £15m which we subsequently agreed in principle, Cantwell had agreed terms to join them and was essentially flat shopping before an offer came in for another player (Lewis or Godfrey?). We then pulled the plug on the Cantwell deal which left him furious with Webber. If any promises were made about future windows to placate him and get him back on side then that might explain this seasons lack of focus. Leeds United have since paid £25m for Dan James out wide and if Bielsa gets any money you'd think it would be for striker reinforcements as Bamford's ongoing injuries issues have left them playing Tyler Roberts up front, and he's about as useless as Adam Idah. Don't know if we'll get any offers for Cantwell in this window or not, but Leeds is surely off the table... they don't need wide players as they have a world class Brazilian, Harrison + James.
  4. Omobamidele is a far better player, I don't dislike Kabak but his minutes shouldn't come at the expense of Omobamidele who is our own player and will still be here next season.
  5. And they rejected the opportunity to purchase him for just £8.5m.... if we stay up we are allegedly obliged to pay £11m. He played 13 times as they had literally nobody else to play.
  6. Good luck finding 3 or 4 players from our side that would get in the Aston Villa team. You could build a top 6 side only with bottom half players, and I'm not sure a single Norwich player would be in it, possibly Aarons would squeeze in but only after a long argument about Matty Cash.
  7. He also grew up on the same street and went to the same school as Alex Ferguson, a year between them, if you want a fun fact to lighten the mood.
  8. Isn't it common knowledge that Todd Cantwell wasn't focused at the start of last season because he was upset that Webber accepted a transfer offer and then changed his mind? I thought that was accepted as fact, not speculation?
  9. Loads, comfortably be able to replace 10 of our best XI. Start with Martinez, Buendia and Watkins from Aston Villa, Raphina and Phillips from Leeds, Zaha from Palace, and go from there.
  10. Written by somebody who never managed and whose only coaching experience of note was a few years as a Liverpool youth coach. I mean, Bryan Gunn is more qualified to author that book than him. Next on your reading list... The Essential Guide to doing your own PR Work by Prince Andrew.
  11. Ferguson would boot out anybody who was disruptive, although with more money at his disposal he could do things like pay up contracts (as he did with Roy Keane after they fell out). Have to say though that the number of players to be bombed out by Farke was somewhat alarming, I do think he has more of an ego and associated stubbornness than some Norwich fans would like to believe, a nasty streak that some don't want to acknowledge.
  12. Failure to adequately replace Emi, failure to replace Skipp, and failure to bring in a suitable Pukki backup/competition will relegate us, we've allocated funds poorly.
  13. Bit harsh on Tzolis really, he is still younger than Todd Cantwell was when he made his league debut for Norwich. He might look 30 but he's not... he's 19. Could have gone to some club that likes to buy up 50 youngsters and loan them out every season until they are 25, like Chelsea, but instead has come somewhere to try and force his way into the side. It was probably a silly decision to spend such a large chunk of money on a player who is clearly not ready for this level, but that is on Webber not on Tzolis
  14. Pukki has had 8 seasons of European Football, across 4 different clubs, both Champions League and Europa League, it is Farke who would be getting his first taste of European football. Much easier ways for Pukki to get himself European football, just going back to HJK or Brondby for example,
  15. A stadium with a capacity of 35074 but an average home attendance of just 6783, how depressing.
  16. But should he give the opposition the heads up? Or.... is it a bluff?
  17. Doesn't matter if they are, we aren't good enough to capitalise.
  18. Not really, I did think that Cantwell being given another chance under Smith was one upside to sacking Farke, but I didn't really expect Cantwell to take that chance, too big for his boots and think he has it made. Interestingly Darren Huckerby, a master of Cantwell's own position, once said that he told young players they hadn't "made it" until they'd played 150 games... Cantwell hasn't reached that landmark yet.
  19. They don't need to take anybody from Watford, AFCON has taken their best midfielders and injuries have taken all their defenders.
  20. They aren't, £20m is Chris Wood's release clause. Burnley haven't accepted an offer, Newcastle have triggered his release clause.
  21. Just looked at where Krasnador is on a map and it looks like Rostov may be their major rivals based on geography of top tier clubs, may have to tred carefully and Rostov may not be prepared to flog to them. Besides, if we stay up we get to buy Normann and I think we should all give a bit of Lake District Canary style positive thinking a go for West Ham and Everton, then revert to being depressed and negative after we lose both of those games.
  22. Would surely need to add some Russian speakers?
