I think Dean Smith is a competent manager, capable of achieving something with a decent squad. We needed more, we needed to find that wildcard who could lift a poor squat to perform like a decent squad. I hoped we would get Knutsen for that reason, I don't know if he would have succeeded but I felt he was the best hope.

I think we have reached something of a plateau now. Barring new variants or something extraordinary I guess we will go along like this for a while and hopefully see further falls as the weather warms up.

I agree, I think if he settled into our team in the Championship, he could be a very good player. He is another who has had to adjust (or, to be fair, readjust) to the Prem in a team at the bottom of the league, that can't be easy. He looks very impressive when he runs out of defence with the ball, sure he is going to lose it at times but he will also set up a lot of opportunities. Having said all that, I suspect that the wages might be too much for us if we do go down.

No, I do understand the UK has the highest death toll in Europe, I never disputed that. I merely pointed out that that particular statistic is not a good one to make comparisons with. For example, Montserrat has recorded 1 Covid-19 death - should we be comparing other countries performance to theirs. I also pointed out that different countries record deaths in different ways. For example, the Netherlands only records a death as a Covid-19 death when, and I quote, Statistics Netherlands (CBS) only counts a person who died as a COVID-19 death if the attending physician recorded COVID-19 as the “immediate cause of death". These are the reasons I pointed out to you that your choice of statistic, while being a bit of a "headline" isn't the be all and end all. @Creative Midfielder was intelligent enough to understand what I was saying and gave a full and considered reply. I didn't quite agree with everything he said but appreciated his efforts and point of view. You, on the other hand, demonstrated your usual complete lack of understanding and went off on a "Bill like" rant............ and have been going ever since.

But the overall death rate isn't one of them, who would compare the overall death rate of, say the Netherlands, which has approximately a quarter of the UK population, and the UK itself - wouldn't make any sense and 99% of people can easily see that. You seem unable to grasp the simplest of things. I've really had enough of talking to you. I have no problem with others on here who may hold different opinions, views etc but you seem to me to be a condescending ego-maniac. Oh dear, indeed I'll say once again.......................... It's meaningless as a comparison statistic between countries, as clearly the total population will have a major effect on the number of deaths. Also, many countries record Covid-19 deaths in different ways from others. That doesn't mean it isn't a statistic worth knowing but it isn't comparable to others. I don't need to inform any of the quoted organisations as they won't be stupid enough to be using the figures to compare different countries.
