  1. I have to say that his goal today is likely to be under-rated but was actually exceptional, he basically sold a dummy to virtually the whole Coventry defence and then finished beautifully
  2. Think he generally speaks well of us............
  3. Well, I don't want him to leave but, just to play devil's advocate, I guess that it is possible that Webber feels "burned" by the Cantwell experience and not cashing in on him when the opportunity was there so he may feel now is the right time to sell Max. Not suggesting for a moment that the personal situations are in any way the same but if there is a list of clubs who do want to buy him in this window and Webber can get a little bit of an auction going, he may feel that it is the right thing to do.
  4. RIP little one, and condolences to the family, terrible thing to happen 😢
  5. Exactly.......... and who here would ever have predicted Kieran Dowell charging back and making a decent tackle 🙂
  6. @BroadstairsR Nice little story. Alfasud Ti Green Cloverleaf, amazingly pretty car 😍............as long as it avoided any rain or damp conditions.
  7. It certainly did for me, so much so that I decided never to buy a Lambo - and I've stood by that decision all these years 😉
  8. Saying the same myself yesterday too. Was also saying that surely football is the only sport where cheating is actively celebrated as the right thing to do. Taking a yellow for the team to stop a breakaway movement or falling over in the box to earn a penalty even though the striker knows he could have stayed on his feet. Just two of the things that managers, players and fans expect their team to do. I like the 10m rule for a free-kick and have always been a fan of the idea of a sin-bin.
  9. I thought very much the same about Idah last night. There is something there but I don't think he just looks like a natural footballer too.
  10. I hate to be so negative about one of our own players but his first touch and control yesterday was awful 😞
  11. There's already a thread about him Wbb
  12. Well, his replacement will be Neil Adams won't it ??
  13. The only reason I googled him was because when I read your post I wondered if he had been Knutsen's assistant manager and, if he had been, he might be in with a chance of stepping up to be our new manager
  14. Google says Broughton is now D-O-F at Blackburn
  15. I've been impressed with him every time I've seen him this season (on TV of course because I'm a plastic 🤣 )
  16. Just a small point on this @essex canary , I thought I remembered reading years ago that in football, sacked Managers wages were only generally continued to be paid until they took a new job. Maybe somebody knows for sure ??
  17. Hassenhutl (sp ??) seems the best logical choice to me. Assuming he would come to a Championship club - I would expect him to be able to hit the ground running, Southampton is a very similar size club to ours and run along the same lines.............. plus he would surely love to get us up at the same time as they get relegated ??
  18. You might be getting a little mixed up and thinking of Frank Yallop (yes, a relative of mine), emigrated to Canada, he played for Ip****e and is currently managing in the States. Previously managed Beckham at LA Galaxy.
  19. First time I have actually listened to him. He is very good.
  20. Just read that. Wow.............. if anybody thinks there is no problem with our club at the moment, they need to listen to a dedicated fan who knows what she is talking about
  21. Such sad news, Ricardo. RIP Neil, and all the very best to you and your family at this awful time.
  22. The height MacDonald gets for his goal............ yet he doesn't have to lean on anybody or have his arms spread into somebody's face etc etc
  23. I think he is playing really well and fully deserves the shirt at the moment
