1.
Way to ruin the post Mario :) and Yes Marty University of Florida. Go Gators
I must confess to not really enjoying the American  football although the vibe on match days way pretty good (lifting the drinks ban on campus), however, I did enjoy the basketball, they had a good team back then.Anyway, I''m Martin, in my 30''s, (well into my 30''s!), live in loughborough, Leicestershire. I spent quite a few years growing up in Norwich, watched many games in one of the corner pens that was predominantly full of old men smoking pipes, swearing and spitting - the glamorous side of 80''s football as a kid! Moved away from Norwich when I went to uni for too long, still tried to watch some games when I could afford. Favourite players, tough one, too many to answer. Like most fans it''s hard not to like players like Hucks and Iwan. I must admit that I am impressed by Crofts this year, he could also become a Norwich legend.
2.
BlurBoy, is that taken in Gainesville? home of the mighty Gators. I spent a couple of years there at the uni.
just read the caption, it says at the UF so that asnwers my question.

4.
IMO there was one very big reason why Gray especially had to go - he is supposed to commentate on a game and in no way be biasecause of his views on women in football could he seriously have done this ? Listen to the commentary of the match the immediate assumption was she had got the decision wrong, not that was close. I am sure when Massey entered the game and moved to the level she is at she realised it would be twice as tough as for any guy, so I must say she has done something for women to be proud of. She must be good as to get to premier league you have to go through all the leagues and managers make comments in reports that help / hinder her progress. Can any of you honestly say you knew the name Sian Massey before Saturday, or if you did could you have described her ? I think not in most cases reason she did her job well so why does Gray make out that she is not capable. I hope Andy Gray has not ruint her career as before this nobody really cared because she was good, now because of Gray if she makes a mistake however small she will be crucified, tottaly unfair and I hope if this happens she sues Gray for every penny possible.  If as many of you as are saying you side with Gray where are all the previous threads saying women should not be allowed in the game. There will be a time when a woman makes it into league football, then what ? One last thing women were marketed into football and the family in the end became the saviour of football and the beginning of the modern game. I dont know the exact % but I am sure if you want women out of the game our gates at FCR would fall to below 20000. Take a look around our club women are now the norm and we have a lot of women coaches in what was FITC. Our club also has a huge number of girls that play football so I suggest some of you get real and move with the modern game. In countries like America and China womens games get bigger gates than the men
So what, womens football is popular in the USA and the mens games isn''t? The USA won the womens world cup and it got a lot of tv coverage (female player removing top after scopring goal), becuase of this many American blokes associated footy with women. Plus they are very patriotic and fear for their culture if a foreign sport infiltrates their own tedious American sports like American football, baseball and hockey etc.As for women officials getting a tougher task because they are female, well I disagree. They may have to put up with slightly different critisisms / abuse, but in some respect I would imagine guys would tone it down somewhat when giving them an earfull. I don''t see any threads on here questioning the moral debate of whether or not we should questioning the parentage of male linesman week in / week out. So if a male linesman can get called all manner of abusive terms every Sarturday (and they do) then why not let the ladies gets some too? afterall, isn''t that proper equality?
5.

apologies for all the spelling mistakes, its early!
most will forgive you, not so sure about MacDougall''s Perm, it might be too early in the day for him mind!
Hahah [:D]
Whoops, I apologise, you''re up and about by 9.00am (Just!). I guess there is to be no respite for those lacking in grammatical knowledge! (although most are probably just lazy typists, I think I fall into both categories). On the positive side, at least I learn new words as well as being reminded of basic rules of grammar taught many, many years ago now!
6. probably a few late nighters checking out the footy gossip and having a tomy tank! it''s helps you sleep you know?

8. It does seem a touch harsh to me. He is by no means my favourite commentator, but at least he knows what he''s on about. As someone else pointed out here, i''d also be locked up for my personal comments. But people take what I say in context and realise it is said as banter. It is sad when we all have to agree with everyone isn''t it. If we continue down this road the TV will be full of even more characterless dullards.
9. that does sound a little harsh. I must admit I was getting a little cheesed off by 4 lads next to me that were giving it the "big ''un" to the away fans (we were within spitting distance of them). Now I don''t mind a bit of banter, but it was just families, kids, disabled people and old fella''s. If you''re going to dish out the less savoury stuff do it to the hard core fans, two girls and one man and his dog! great result mind.
10. .....plus, let''s be realistic here, she will get a load of abuse worse than that, just like every linesman in the country week in / week out. So it''s fine to call a male linesman a effing C word but make a joke about a woman not understanding the offside rule makes you some sort of dinosaur.
11. It is utter rubbish, I guess it was a slow news day. For Christ''s sake I hear a lot worse than that day in day out, I also say similar stuff myself, mainly in jest, but men and women are different. It''s like the joke about women parking, well there is plenty of scientific evidence to support why this is the case. I don''t throw a hissy fit if a women jokes / comments about how men can''t put the toilet seat down! men get stereotyped all the bloody time but do we moan about it? remember the beer advert where the guys licks the floor and toilet seat following a trail of beer (I think the was a big oral s** innuendo implied)? how derogatory was that to the average man? imagine a similar advert for women? it wouldn''t exist would it? What is wrong with this country, these comments occur all of the time, and in this case it was off air. Do we need to sensor everything we say? I''d be locked up, so would most of us I would imagine. So in this country we worry about a pretty innocuos comment whilst in countries like Italy their president can''t keep his pants on and they don''t seem to care, maybe we should get a little more perspective on this sort of news story .
12. the amount of mega pixels means very little if the optics are not very good. I can get very good photos using an old 2.0mp camera, far better than that of a cheaper modern camera with 12 mp. There are many factors that going to making a good camera, but whan it comes to selling them the camera companies know the the mega pixel number is what people notice.
13. what is so odd about a camera Banana? I took mine also, I use it to take photos! I also own a phone that I use to make phonecalls! Unless you pay serious wedge for your phone the camera capabilities will be at best average.
14. thanks Shefcanary, might check out the Frog n Parrto for nostaligia reasons, also, good call on Leopold square for food, looks OK and close to the hotel. Who knows, maybe the Norwich players will in the same hotel?
15. after checking some reviews I like the sound of the Devonshire Cat, loads of beer on offer, local ales and many world beers too.
16. cheers Shefcanary, I am staying on the centre by the city hall and winter gardens, I think the hotel is actually on Norfolk street, hope that is a good sign for us on Saturday! There seems a fair choice there, I normally just like to do a bit of a pub crawl, nothing too late, i''m too old for that! I remember as a student in the 90''s I went to Sheffield for a night out and drunk what was meant to be the stongest beer in Britain, I got a certificate! I have no idea where it was mind.
17. also got the White Lies, some great stuff at the start but I am sure the rest will grow on my like the first album. Graham, I found 2 Lush albums recently whilst sorting through a box of old cd''s that was in the loft, maybe I should give them a whirl.
18. I''m staying overnight, are there any decent post match venues worth trying out, I haven''t been for a night out in Sheffield for ages (OK, well not strictly true, I did a stag-do a couple of years ago but have no recollection of any of it, although I know that my beer compass was working that night, I found my way to the hotel from the leadmill, no idea how!). Or any nice places to eat? What are the Sheffield "must see" sights?
19. In my opinion 18 million sounds alike a lot to me. Also, I think bell-end is hyphenated!
20. I used Virgin money Giving for last years London marathon and it was free.
21. staying but only just and not for long!
22. I am grateful to have not checked this board until lunchtime! blimey, there does appear to be a lot of people with few posts moaning on about what may or may not happen. It''s a concern but not the end of the world!
23. now I don''t normally comment on the standard of English here but I still have no idea what this post is about!
24. No, lappin is the weekest defender by some distance. Now i think he is a decent  squad member but he is no left back. He does some thing well but defending is not one of them. I do admire that fact that he gives 100% and does get up and down the wing though.
