Stringer built the side that succeeded for Walker...

Unfortunately most expensive players do not want to sign for a relegation candidate.

I went to school with an extremely talented footballer called Tony Mills who broke his leg at 17 and had the bottom half amputated due to complications.
Undeterred by this, he went on to play for and Captain Arsenal Amputee F.C and played for England, including at two Amputee World Cups. He also went on to represent GB at the IPC Athletics 2015 World Championships in the long jump.

I actually really like the idea of Gerrard coming down to Norwich. He did wonders with Rangers and he'd probably be keen to manage a team in the Prem before taking over from Klopp.

Gerrard?

Walker inherited the team Dave Stringer worked very hard to produce.

I think that swapping Gibbo for AO would resolve the obvious defensive issues, but in attack I'd still like to see [Tzolis, Pukki, Rachica] as a trio together because the pace and skill would likely rip most teams apart.
Therefore I think what would work best would be:
--------------------Krul-----------------
----Kabak -- Hanley -- AO----
Max--PLM--Normann--Dimi
----Tzolis--Pukki--Rachica---

LEGO is. Perhaps it needs pieces of LEGO glued in random spots on the bench and on the floor for when they're not wearing boots.

Krul has lost his composure since the goal

Normann on for who? I thought the midfield three had done quite well so far.

What do people think of Dowell so far today?
I might like to see Rashica come on for him and add some extra pace down the right...

Solid first half all round. Tzolis looking good on attack and Williams impressing at the back. Definitely could have had a couple of goals.
Thinking we might nick a 0-1 today.

€11m = £ 9.37m at current rates.

I don't think Norwich are necessarily signing him as a defensive midfielder, that looks like it will be Gilmour - but if you have Billing next to PLM/McLean you suddenly have a really hard working duo who'll cover a ton of ground and be able to go both forwards and backwards depending on the game state. What happens if Gilmour is injured is the question, but both PLM and Billing have experience in that DM role.
That is a good shout actually, he is an excellent passer of the ball and has the positional intelligence to do it also.
I haven't seen enough of them to comment, but how similar are Billing and PLM to Kante in style? I'm asking because if performing well alongside Kante won Golmour accolades, it would make sense to do something similar, and may be what they are going for?

It turned out to be a bad one for us and player, but it was clearly ambitious, so is this.
It was only a bad signing because of the way Hughton wanted to play IMHO. In this team I think he would have scored a lot of goals.

Why is this and why aren't the club (or it's fanbase) doing anything about it? I'd suggest advertising in mosques, predominantly black churches and in schools.
The reason the fanbase is 'still incredably white' is because the local population is 96.5% white (Norfolk-wide). Norwich City FC are predominantly supported by locals or former locals who have moved away.
Do you know how many mosques are in Norfolk, how many people who attend mosques are interested in supporting Norwich City or even in the sport? According the the stats, around 5,000 people who identify as Muslim live in Norfolk, so the size of the population pool is extremely small. I could be completely wrong, but I suspect there wouldn't be a huge amount of people to engage with within this demographic.
Do you know how many 'predominantly black churches' there are in Norfolk? I'd wager not too many based on the population proportion of a) black people and b) people who go to church.
With this in mind, what proportion of resources is it worth the club aiming at (probably) such a small level of any kind of return?

Thanks 🙂. I do, but I'm hesitant to share high-resolution for various reasons.

Thank you. This was quite a few hours in the making but I am very happy with the result.
I hope that others gain as much enjoyment out of it as I gained through making it.
I have quite enjoyed being able to see the bigger picture of the development the club has made through this process. Also the interesting little facts discovered along the way, such as being the second club to win the League Cup (whilst being in the second division), having a player score 37 goals in a season back in the 60's and seeing that Dave Stringer probably built the most successful team in the history of the club (this was the foundation for Mike Walker's third place side that conquered Munich in Germany).

The whole infographic was made using Adobe Illustrator and each element was individually made. The lines in the sankey diagram were 10pt in width before I expanded them. Making the sankey was a bit fiddly but wasn't too bad to make once I knew what was going where. Mapping the positions was all done manually. The parts which took the longest to make were the illustrations for the key stakeholders and Captain Canary.

One thing I found quite interesting after putting it together is seeing that the period of the club overseen by Robert Chase is arguably the most successful in the history of the club and yet he was such as hated figure.

@Graham Paddons Beard and @Crafty Canary
I just wanted to say thanks for your help again. It helped give me some really useful information.
I finished my infographic last week and I'm reasonably happy with it.
The main graphs include a sankey chart dividing each season into finishing position by quadrant (I divided each league into quarters), which you can filter by manager and chairman. I flanked the sankey with a bar graph at each end showing cup data at one end and top scorers of each season at the other.
On the left and right edges I have graphic visualisations for information such as key stakeholders, top transfers and celebrity fans.
I emailed it to the club just before the weekend (wasn't really sure who to send it to though). I'm going to wait a few more days and then I may share it on here.

Interesting to see how the season unfolded in relation for league position.

Thanks @Crafty Canary, that is very helpful.
Do you also have access to who has been the majority shareholder over the years at all please?
If you had to rehire any former Norwich manager...

I think Stringer is the best manager the team ever had, and really set the team up for the success enjoyed by Walker.
I think O'Neil would have been good, had he been here longer.
I think Farke could have matured into an excellent manager, given a long term opportunity.
