  1. Got Villa up with a team of very expensive loanees and a squad that should have done far better than they were. Only scraped into playoffs after a ridiculous run of wins at the end of the season. Was mid table with 10 games to go IIRC.

Scraped survival due to goal line tech not working properly, otherwise they'd have gone down, despite spending 100million and having Grealish.

**** this, I'm done. I have now totally lost interest in Norwich, something I never thought I'd say. I've watched 1.5 games since the Liverpool cup game, I just can't be bothered anymore. The apathy is real.

Must be just me then, but it would be interesting to see if you guys still have the same opinion of preferring the championship when we’re back to being an upper mid table championship team. My guess is, at that point we’ll all hate the championship too.

My point is that I reckon our apparent dislike of the premiership is purely down to the fact we never make a real good go of it and if you lose every week, any league becomes depressing.

Totally disagree and it's nothing to do with not making a go of it. It's a boring league that nobody outside of the top 4 teams are even competitive for. Everybody is playing to make up the numbers. Why on earth would anyone find that interesting? It's ****.

In the championship, its far more competitive, buying your way out often doesn't work at all, anybody can beat anybody etc.

Prem is dull as **** because its so imbalanced. Its not because its depressing, its because its so boring.

I still can't get my head around not looking for a proper qb this summer considering the surrounding talent on the roster.

Looks like its the Cowboys division this year.

To be fair Fitz is at least serviceable but the Washington curse got him almost immediately. Can't kick the can down the road any further though, we need to push the boat out for a QB next summer.

They might choose to take him out of the firing line, as it were. Obviously, he hasn’t been convicted of anything as of yet but you’d expect there to be a lot of negative press around him and that fans would be on his case relentlessly.

Or they might stand by him. Yet that could, potentially, come back to haunt them depending on outcomes. Who knows? It’s clear that I don’t!!

Yep, just seen this. He's one of their best players but given that he's been arrested and the nature of the allegations, there's no way in hell that he'll be playing next weekend.

  5. I've kept ploughing on since June and now down another stone or so. In 4lbs time I will have lost 4 stone!! I'm going to stop losing weight there though, I'm more than happy with the way I look now and can't believe the transformation! Significant amount of effort taken to get in shape, but I've found actually staying in shape is much easier than losing it in the first place. Diet has been transformed so much harder to get back into bad habits now!

what safeguards have they removed from schools? Surely schools still implement a risk assessment and test, so what’s changed to make you so angry? Isn’t it better than locking down schools again?

All the recommendations re: masks etc have been removed, so all we can do is suggest. Testing is not mandatory, it's optional and done out of school so the numbers actually doing it are miniscule. Our local authority has told us we now need to test all the kids next week - seems like shutting the stable door long after the horse has bolted tbh.

I'm not a fan of locking down schools again, but the disruption to education is greater at the moment as teachers are now trying to set work online and teach kids in class, at least in my school anyway. There's not enough hours in the day to do this effectively, so the ones at home are not getting anywhere near the same level of teaching. They then come in and don't know the stuff that the other kids have already learned so you're either repeating for kids who weren't there, or just hoping they picked up enough to keep up. Kids who have Covid aren't working and many who don't have any symptoms but are positive, are also not working. Fine if the numebrs are small but chasing up 100+ kids for 5 lessons per day worth of work is just a losing battle.

  7. 800 kids in my school - over 100 currently off with confirmed cases of Covid. I know another local school of similar size has 130 off with confirmed cases.

Shocking that this is being ignored by the media - the disruption to education is unbelievable.

i'm double jabbed and presume most colleagues are, I'm not worried about us but sincerely hope none of the kids or their families get ill.

How the **** are the kids meant to "catch up" if they're off school because the government decided to just let it rip and remove most of the safeguards?

Especially for fans not living in Norfolk.

The kind ones say “I thought you were unlucky”(again)

The nasty ****s say “you are so **** and shouldn’t be allowed promotion again”

I’ve got to the stage when I just change the subject quickly.

I live in the Midlands so for most people here, I'm the only Norwich fan they know. Honestly it gets really ****ing tedious as everyone piles in from all directions with "banter", seemingly unaware that every other ****er is sending me the same ****. Just bores me so I ignore tbh.

Don't get me wrong, I dont think we're Superbowl bound. However I'd gone into this season expecting a dumpster fire so it was nice to see us look good in all three phases- heck even our new punter had a brilliant game.

It's going to be interesting to see what your guys do with Fitz going down. Is Heinickie someone you can ride for the next 7 games and still be in contention? Or do you start looking at a Cam Newton type?

I don't know that we'll be in contention to regardless to be fair. Heinicke has earned the right to show us what he has got. Reminds me of a Gardner Minshew type to be fair. Not sure he'll be good enough, but balls of steel and good enough to win if he gets hot.

Newton is washed - wouldn't go near him. I'd just roll with Heinicke and see what happens. Such a Washington thing to happen to sign Fitz and then break him within one half of football.

Wow, what an unexpected start to the season for the Eagles. Hurts looked at home, Devonta Smith looking every bit the superstar receiver we're hoping for and dominant performances in both trenches. Obviously have to caveat with the fact the Falcons are awful but still, hugely encouraging start.

Add in that the rest of the division lost and suddenly we're looking rosy.

    Time will tell.

But generally waddle slowly and clog up the concourses.

How much narrower would a seat be if capacity was to be increased by 7000 by narrowing seats alone, ?no new stand needed. Or bench seats would allow many, many more. Season tickets priced on waistline.

28,000 ish at the moment so you'd need to lose 25% width to accommodate the extra 7000 seats if they were all being fitted on the existing footprint of the seats.

Omobamidele I really want to see featuring here - I have a strong belief he really is an exceptional player in waiting...

Michael Bailey mentioned somewhere recently that the expectation around the club for Omabamidele is that he is going to be as good or better than Godfrey.

This is quite brilliant from Webber, whether part of a back 4 or 5, he has all the attributes to improve us and become a fantastic CB himself. After Liverpool’s shaky performances early to mid season, he certainly played a part in turning that around with 6 cleans sheets in 13 appearances across the Premier League and Champions League. Honestly think Webber will have pulled one right out of the hat here if this one comes off. I look at all those signings and think that’s a squad that should really finish mid table, and who knows, maybe it will…
