1. From what I''ve read on the Barnsley forums, Butterfield has been playing at the tip of the diamond in the Wessi role, not as a DM. Not to say he has to play in the same position for us, or that he couldn''t play DM but from what I can garner, he has been playing as the AM at Barnsley. (I could be wrong of course).
 2.
He was in Norwich on Friday passing his medical. At that point both Newcastle and Southampton came in with bigger offers. However, he signed on Saturday around lunchtime as he was won over by Hughton and (as usual with most players who come to NC) was very impressed with the set up. Credit must go to his agent, who advised Jacob to come here over the other clubs (the agent looks after other players in the NC squad) despite knowing he''d earn more cash out of the move if he went elsewhere.
Thanks Chirp, I won''t ask for your sources as I trust that you''re not bullsh***ing. Sounds like a player with his head firmly screwed on, and the right motivation, just the sort we want to be bringing in.
 3. Is this guy really still here? Has he not worked out it wasn''t funny the first time. Failed troll is boring and repetitive.
 4.
Are they not refering to us cheating them out of some money ? I know that when a club runs up £170 M of debts , then have the cheek to accuse clubs of not playing fair when it comes to signing players that have officially no employer !! And serve them right for trying to sign Holt for £200,000
no, clearly not, as I explained above, and the guy who posted the comment is a Celtic fan.
 5.
Hughes, Murray and Smith were not first teamers at Rangers given two 5year contracts. This is one signing, who has experience of European football for both Rangers and international football with Scotland, the over reaction on this website is quiet remarkable. Fans who slate a player before they''ve even seen him play for us should take a good hard look at themselves, pathetic.
Totally agree, there are some pathetic children on here (including the OP) who really shouldn''t be posting on internet forums, when they lack any sort of cognitive ability. The Leroy Lita thing is a bit bizarre, I have no idea what he has to do with a toddler-esque rant about a Norwich player who hasn''t even kicked a ball for us yet. The OP needs to grow up, or his parents need to supervise his posts so he doesn''t further embarrass himself.
 6.
Broken bones and damage knee ligaments are as different as chalk & cheese you melon - I know firsthand that despite breaking my legs on three occasions it didn''t prevent me from playing football in the long-term - cruciate knee damage, however, ended my playing days. Fat Ashton suffered with cruciate knee damage for most of his short career.
So you had the same quality of care a Premier League footballer has did you? Same access to rehabilitation facilities? How long ago was your cruciate injury Shyster? I don''t mean to be rude, but you always struck me as an older guy from the little I know of you, which would mean that there have been significant advances in medical technology, even if your playing days were ended 15 years ago.Well done for being disrespectful to the guy who made the club around £3mill profit, scored goals that nearly kept a very poor team up in the Prem, stayed for 6 months to see if he could help us get back there, but left when it was clear we weren''t going to be contending, and has only ever spoken well of us after leaving. You really never cease to amaze me with your class.
 7.
In the article in the Daily Record one of the replies (Tommy Garbutt at 9:25) says Whittaker is going "from one cheating club to another",anyone know what he''s on about?http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/football/spl/rangers/2012/07/01/rangers-in-crisis-steven-whittaker-snapped-up-by-norwich-after-rejecting-newco-switch-86908-23903056/
He''s clearly talking about Lafferty to FC Sion move - hence the comment saying "this move is ideal for Mr Laughatme" << Laughatme = pun on Lafferty... FC Sion got kicked out of Europa league for transfer irregularities, giving celtic (who they beat to qualify) their spot, but then a judge overturned the ruling, and gave them their place back replacing Celtic
 8.

Prudence with little ambition......come on down. [:@]
For once I''m with Wiz on this. When Hughton announced he was only going to sign one player this summer I assumed it was going to be some one a bit more exciting and expensive than a "versatile" Rangers free agent.
I''m guessing from some of the replies, not everyone understands the concept of irony Purple, I thought it was witty though.
 9.
Not sure Gunter will leave Forest now that they are to become the Man City of the Championship , serious backing from Kuwait
Guthrie to join Reading
 10.
Just heard his teamate is available too - Ivan Ecstrawun.   Very good at ball juggling, apparently.     Could be interesting.........
The first one wasn''t funny, the second is worse. Just let the thread die mate...
 11.
Nothing, other than his name sounding like a Harry Potter spell.
LMAO. Nicely done.
 12.
Agreed, i forgot about Walker, another class right back who offers a lot, surely if Hodgson was planning for the futuure he was a better option than Johnson
I won''t comment on England''s performance as I cba with another forum row with Shyster et al, but as far as I''m aware, Walker was injured which was why he wasn''t called up. If I recall correctly, broken toe or something?
 13.
Supposed to be a quality RB, fallen out with his club and on the radar of Barcelona not to long ago, where has this rumour come from though or is it just a suggestion?
Just had a scout round and found it''s off twitter. no idea on the credibility of the source.Nana Gyasi ‏@joegogosNorwich City are close to agreeing a deal to sign 23-year old Ghanaian right-back Samuel Inkoom from Dnipro. #NCFC Expand Reply  Retweet  Favorite
 14.
He''s a good shout but will 100% sign with Fenerbahce. Been on loan there for past two seasons and they''re signing him on a cut price deal - Around 1.5 or 2mill because he has told Everton he won''t go anywhere else.
Just checked Fenerbahce news and found this interview from yesterday http://www.clickliverpool.com/sport/everton-fc/1216482-everton-fc-defender-joseph-yobo-wants-fenerbahce-switch.html?
 15.
Joseph Yobo....thats an interesting sugestion. DOB 6/9/80---> 32 this September 6'' 2" tall Nigerian International Can play RB, CB and even midfield apparently. If he is cheap he might do us for a season or two and bring some experience to our defence. League app. Everton                204+16 apps         8 goals Marseille               23 apps                0 goals Standard Leige      46 apps               2 goals
He''s a good shout but will 100% sign with Fenerbahce. 16.
Sorry - don''t understand your banter
That''s cuz there is no banter to understand, just a bored, lonely child with nothing better to do than act like a t**t on here.
 17.
well dat is nt very nice now is it m8
Nope, but deserved. If children like you must play with something your brain is too small to handle, why is it always internet forums not fire or traffic?? [:(]
 18.

I think it''s bull personally, but I''d like to hear what people''s interpretations of "#BitOfATriggerThough" means? The way I interpret that is slightly worrying so I''d like to hear what others think.
You can relax. I believe trigger is a nickname used for Surman by some of the squad - presumably after the only fools and horses character. In the Q&A things he''s always being identified as being a bit of a space cadet.
Cheers for clearing that up, I did have a vague inkling that was the case, but obviously the word "trigger" used by Holt about someone else''s contract slightly worried me. Holt really needs to learn to be a bit less ambiguous in his tweeting!! [:D]
 19. Think we can safely put this one to bed now.http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/7832690/Milan-keen-on-Aquilani

 21. http://www.setanta.com/ie/Articles/2012/06/21/Surman-deal-irks-Holt/gnid-145636/?Sorry to start yet another Holt thread, but I thought this new bit of journalism was worthy of it''s own discussion as we have apparently bumped Surman''s wages up to 22k per week.I think this is the most ridiculous piece of fantasy journalism I have read all week.
 22. Various reports conflict with the reported 63k. A few at least reporting it''s 30k per week, 6mill over 4 years.
 23. I''m quite pleased with this, technically he is a very competent player and he is certainly a good player to have in the squad. not sure I see him in a first choice starting 11 but on his day he is very good.
 24.
Even if his wages are £63k a week (which I doubt) that would represent an outlay of £13m, which although sounds a lot I imagine the total package Southampton have just spent on Jay Rodriguez is probably equal to, if not more than.
The reported wages for Rodriguez are 25k per week - if true that equates to roughly 5.2 million over his 4 year deal so yeah - your maths is pretty spot on.
