  1. Finally made it into the house last fri. Bed frame didn't turn up and wardrobe is like trying to solve some kind of cryptogram puzzle but in the house and getting sorted now. Finally starting to be able to relax a bit 😊
  2. Yeah thought the actors playing Johnny R and Malcolm McDonald absolutely killed it. Really excellent acting to capture their little mannerisms so perfectly. Thought the show was watchable but I wasn't deeply into it, which was a shame because I had really looked forward to it
  3. Finally in my new house and bought an electric blanket. Gamechanger at 3p per hour to run.
  4. Same difference - they have massive personal wealth - that 25% should also be going to the treasury. The principle stands regardless of the semantics.
  5. Exactly. They have enough money. Why on earth should any of the seabed belong to them. This is why I'm anti monarchy. How much good could 1.25 billion pounds do for the public in this climate... sickening.
  6. We'd have at least 46 points by now if our Daniel were at the helm.
  7. Dont massively disagree. I am an absolute die hard Republican and anti-monarchy... but if you took away the tax payer funding element and let them live off their own massive wealth then frankly I couldn't give a toss about them either way. They'd just be another rich family. Thats the bit I'm massively bothered about. In a cost of living crisis, why on earth are we paying tens of millions, to people with hundreds of millions, to fix their palaces which arent open to the public? Let them pay their own way. (Yes tourism blah blah blah, it would still exist if they were using their massive wealth to pay their own way). I should add, that I respected the Queen and her death was sad on a human level.
  8. Theres a show available if you dig the depths of the Internet called "Kings of pain". 2 seasons of 2 guys getting deliberately stung/bitten by insects and animals and rating the level of pain caused by each. Reticulated python bite is insane. Weird show but compelling viewing.
  9. It's not being televised anywhere which is why it's available on Canariesplayer. I thought that's what the question was seeing as if it is televised abroad, it's then not available on Canariesplayer
  10. Got a move in date finally! Moving in on Friday so have now been able to empty my bank account buying furniture etc (ex had everything when we split). Really excited to start a new era now 🙂
  11. No https://www.canaries.co.uk/content/how-to-follow-norwich-city-v-west-brom
  12. If you're abroad, there is. Available in every country except the UK If you're in the UK, because of the 3pm Sat kick off blackout law that's been in place for forever. If you're in the UK and have a VPN, then you can watch. I'm "in Turkey" today
  13. Not sure on Tranmere, but Chester certainly used to play on a Friday night regularly in the early 00s, have a feeling that might have been to do with the races too though
  14. Thought Attanasio came across really well in the interview. I like him 👍
  15. Can totally relate. I've just moved 80 miles. Trying to buy from a distance in this market was nuts, houses going 3 hours after being put on the market etc. I decided to rent for a bit until I find somewhere to buy. Rental market was crazy too and had to take somewhere having never seen it, with one picture of the outside online because when I emailed about a viewing, they'd had 15 people express interest between 7pm when it went online and 9am when the estate agents opened and every other house I enquired about had waiting lists of 30 people to view it or had already gone. Have been in to see it now and it's nice, it was the right gamble but utterly mental to have to do that. Was meant to be available August. Started work at new job on August 31st. Guy before me was out on 31st of aug but was happy to leave early to allow me in early. Estate agent refused to play ball with that. They then won't let me in until the "pre-let works" are complete, and they cant check what needs doing until after he has left apparently. These works are essentially changing a few light bulbs and putting polyfilla in a few nail holes. The estate agent still hasn't even booked a contractor or got a date for these to be completed and won't give me a move in date until they are. Very fortunate that I've moved back to somewhere I used to live and have friends round here, including one who was happy to put me up until its sorted. So I've started a new job 2 weeks ago, and despite having a house sorted since July which I should have been able to move into before the end of August, I'm currently living in a mates 6 x 8 ft bedroom and storing all my stuff in their garage because a few lightbulbs need changing, indefinitely with no end date even in sight.
  16. Cowboys are cooked already. Theyre basically the definition of a one man team. Yeah Wentz decided to give us the full rollercoaster treatment yesterday. His 2 4th quarter TDs were incredible throws and he made a series of other really nice throws, but back to back picks with no pressure on him was ridiculous. Dotson is going to be a problem for other teams. Should open McLaurin up too as teams can't just double team him every play. Dotson is really good, great hands but he plays tough, makes contested catches and his body control is insane forna rookie. Smart football player. Samuel being healthy (for as long as that lasts) is huge too and sharing the hybrid RB/WR duties with Gibson caused Jags no end of problems... Wentz has some serious weapons now. We actually have an Offense that will put up points this season and is fun to watch but it's going to be an absolute ride every game. Defense still has a lot of question marks though. Might actually be a fun division to be in this year!
  17. Also have to give @king canary a shout. Eagles FO has done an amazing job rebuilding that Defense. Theyre going to be really good this year. Only question mark on that team is whether Hurts can actually ball or not. If hes even mediocre theyre going to the playoffs minimum.
  18. Not sure Lance will be in the pocket all that much, he's a great athlete. I wanted us to draft him, so il be interested to see what he's got. We've also got a new QB although Wentz is not as exciting a prospect to watch as Lance is. We've got the Jags tonight so on paper an easy start but that means very little for Washington, we're more than capable of being beat by anyone. Our offense should be better this year but our Defense scares the **** out of me. They have potential to be historically bad.
  19. NFL season starts tonight for majority of teams so opportunity is there to give a new sport a watch. (Cue the hate 😂). Games on sky at 6 and 9.25pm. Green Bay Packers play in yellow and green and are community owned. Natural synergy with NCFC. (I'm a washington fan, and it's miserable so I'd give them a swerve if you're looking for a team to follow - imagine watching Norwich every time we've been in the prem recently, and then imagine it every year - that's what being a washington fan is. 😂)
  20. It's also taken in the directors box so was probably an invite rather than an active choice.
  21. Isn't that the idea Labour have been pushing.... like the windfall tax was... This bunch of Tories literally cannot think for themselves.
  22. Most sensible solution I've seen. If you coupled this with the energy industry's plan to essentially have a scheme whereby prices are capped now (at the april 2022 rate), and we repay the money over the next 10 years so when prices do come down again, we're still fixed at essentially the rate they have been this year, to repay the deficit, then I think we could navigate this crisis fairly sensibly. But Liz Truss will be in charge so doubtful any kind of sensible solutions will be employed.
  23. Nice to see something a bit high brow in here. I'm not massively into classical music but my partner is an elite level cellist. We went to see Sheku Kanneh-Mason (Arguably one of the top 5 cellists ever) who played at Harry and Meghan's wedding and his sister Isata (World renowned pianist) in July. I expected to hate it and be clock watching the entire time... I didnt. It was simply sensational. Watching them was just incredible to behold and I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you get the chance to see him/them, it's well worth it. He's playing in Bury St Edmunds in September https://www.theapex.co.uk/whats-on/details.cfm?id=678547&ins=949190 Also had the chance to meet him after the show and he's an unbelievably humble, genuinely nice guy.
