Yea they've benefited from Ross Stewart being out, I don't think it would've panned out like this with the dominance Sunderland had early on. They've taken the chances well though.

I was quite concerned with the favouritism that Wagner was showing him, but he looked much improved in pre-season, and excellent in the Olympiacos match. To see a player shine, and has a coach who appears to have a personal investment in his success is a real winner for us. During the match you could see Wagner having little words with him along the sideline, and it takes me back to Farke first coming into the club to get his point across to youngsters on that side too. It's so great to see new shoots starting to grow in this squad, and the number of players with smiles on their faces is really infectious too. Onel, Sara, Nunez, Sarge & Rowe - A really great advert for the game, and youngsters to fall in love with I think.

He says "It's me!" as he hits his chest doesn't he? Just shows what's going on inside a players head after a moment like that to break through to the first team and deliver. Really pleased for Wagner too, I thought he was too raw to be placing this much emphasis on but that was a wicked shot. And credit for showing the belief to start him over Fassnacht too. It will be really interesting to see if he can keep up the energy and remain a threat in the months that we're without Sainz as it could really tip the scales in his favour.

Stand out player for sure, Normally I'd go for Rowe MoTM for what he done in the first half... But across the match Stacey was just on it constantly. Looked tired when he lost the ball late in the game and he gave up the chase that one time... But even after that, it was no surprise our equaliser came from right side and his involvement. Looks a brilliant signing, and for me, a surprising one as I didn't really know a great deal about him before he joined.

Yeah let's stay grounded, as he could have a couple of **** matches and everyone turns on him which is likely given his age and wide variance of opponent level this season. Was frustrating me early as wanted to see him cut in on a few opportunities before that as the space was there for him... And then he does it the third time I'm thinking it, and wow, what a finish!

That was nuts, when he came on I thought wouldn't it be amazing if him and Rowe scored. Place went mental, couldn't really see what happened from where I was. But boy did that feel great!! Good on him, did he look happy? Everyone was bumping him after the game, the comradery is really on a high again and it's brilliant!
