1.
£2m, i very much doubt the club has. I''d love the club to go out and spend that kind of money but its not going to happen.

Dean Ashton was the top scorer in the Championship and had been included in every England representative age group from schoolboys upwards.
Was hoping the first reply to this post wouldn''t be so shite tbh.

  2. I have watched Charlie play a few times live and on TV, my good friend is a Swindon fan so he never shuts up about him, and for good reason.Austin is available for £2m allegedly, which is believable as they sold Simon Cox for £1.5m. He just doesn''t ever stop scoring. He missed over a month through injury this season, yet he''s still got 17 goals, and 31 in 50 league games for Swindon since signing. 6-7 years ago now we signed Dean Ashton, playing at the same level as Charlie, for £3m. Deano had played a lot more league games, but Austin has done it consistently since signing. I heard Morrison at Millwall was worth over £3m, and Long at Reading £5m! Austin seems a steal, if he scored half as many for us as he has at Swindon we will still be up there come the end of the season. It''d still be a bit of a gamble, but if we could find the money from somewhere, I can''t think of anyone else I''d rather have. What do you reckon?

  3.
People gloating about how this is all over as he has confirmed he will be here tomorrow.........RUBBISH............. Its all happening. Lambert and board have been open with discussions and told lambert that on the eve of an FA CUP clash he is to be proffessional and lead the club out tomorrow and they will inform the players and release the statement of his resignation after tomorrows game in which time Norwich source thier replacement and start speaking to agents etc....... no other reason for Lambert to be tight lipped or to still be at the club late on a friday night. They are all behaving as proffessional as possible and all will stir around 5:30pm tomorrow eveing of which i will be amazingly suprised if i hear any different than we have parted company and burnley install Lambert as manager
And let that be the end of it.

  4.

In my opinion it was a little unprofessional, on a Friday the day before a game, with no training session in which to calm players nerves.Yeah its the FA Crap, he is probably going to play kids, but his job is to win games of football and to prepare for matches in the best possible fashion.Great manager, yes. But never bigger than the club, not this club. This week is about getting to the next round of the FA Cup, not a national Paul Lambert day.I hope that he stays, but I will always be wary and untrusting of him from now onwards.
I''m sure he''ll be devastated when he reads that.

If this turns out to be true, I wonder if this signals the departure of Hoolahan?
You and me both Morty, the rumour on here a while ago about Wes and Barnett being involved in a swap deal still worries me.

Both players out of contract and with Wes, you can see him enjoying playing under a Manager like Martinez who wasn''t too shabby a midfielder himself.

Lansbury looks as creative with an eye for the pass, maybe not the dinky runs, but one helluva talent if he is the "compensation", even if it is only until May.

But then again, there could be nothing in it, so...
Felt the need to login just to say that this is such a terrible, factually inaccurate post.

  6.
Its very easy, create a username and password for bet365 (Dont make it your usual one as you will be logging in via a proxy and may be unsecure).

Then get foxy proxy add-on for firefox.

Log in to your bet365 account.

    Then go to this link:

    http://www.xroxy.com/proxylist.php?port=&type=Transparent&ssl=ssl&country=&latency=1000&reliability=9000#table

And hit the little fox icon on each line till you find a proxy that works with bet365.com, you will be shown a website that returns your ip address, if this shows you have a connection then turn bet365 by clicking on the live stream at the top left of their main page.

If it doesnt work, close the live stream window, click another fox, and retry,

Dont forget to disable foxy proxy after you''re done, otherwise you will be surfing through the proxy and like i say, it could be unsecure. (Proxy is basically bouncing your internet through a computer in a different country... thus fooling bet365).
For everyone who was looking for links today, I suggest you save this post, as if you follow the instructions, it is guaranteed to work and won''t suddenly crash or be disabled for copyright reasons.Top work Ski, great result but can''t help but be a little disappointed. Not many teams will go there and be the better side this season.OTBC

Stokes to Celtic, really think he could have done a job in the Championship and perhaps even in the Prem given time under the right manager.

    Leicester signing Waghorn for £3m[:O]

A top six finish would be a MASSIVE achievment for us this season given the cash some championship clubs are splashing.
im sure cash doesn''t mean quality?

how much did man city pay for tevez to miss a chance cureton would have scored?

The reason QPR and Leicester are paying is that teams know they have funds so just hold out longer for more [mo]
And you''re seriously comparing Tevez to Cureton?
No, have you seen the tevez miss? Basically Cureton would have scored it. [y]
Yes, I saw the miss, it was a sitter, my dad would have scored it, but I am not too sure about Cureton.

Even the best players miss absolute sitters at times.

I remember one episode of fantasy football, where they''d put together aclip of Pele and some of his mistakes, and misses etc and titled the sequence Pele was sheite.  Even the greatest make mistakes.
Everyone makes mistakes, nobodys perfect (my name is nobody Lol.) So You can allow mistakes but not mistakes that are that easy!

  8.

Time was when Delia Smith was our only known celebrity. Whatever some say it is good for business to have people in the public eye wearing the colours or mentioning the team.

Today, we have Jake Humphrey gently promoting us on BBC TV and Mick Dennis doing so more loudly on BBC Radio.

Stephen Fry will no doubt be asked about his directorship and he, like the others, are fans first as opposed to so many other Club owners and followers who buy into the brand.

Because of the fundamental love of an historically unfashionable Club the sentiments come across as genuine and subtle and this gives NCFC credibility.

There are other City fans out there too and I would put Dion Dublin into a sub-category for example.

Far from being made into a joke by our celebrity associations we are being given positive exposure and credibility and this helps us to grow as a buisiness.

We are lucky, Ipswich''s benefactor is anonymous and there are few Clubs who have the levels of positive promotion we now enjoy.

Outside of the glamour Clubs, how many now have our media profile as a Club?
Sycophantic bollox......I''d rather we were in the news at all than in it for all the wrong reasons. A silly old tv cook and a bi-polar homosexual are NOT what a serious football club needs in order to gain credibility.Just picture the scene had this been Ipswich.... so go ahead and bathe in the glow of your hypocrisy.
Just fuck off you ignorant cunnt.

  9.
I think he was particuarly carp against Watford and didn''t set the world alight against Gillingham midweek.

Lappin has come in and shown his worth to the team and deserves a chance and I can''t see anyone else worth dropping to be honest!
You shouldn''t come on here.

So says that respected rag the EDP.

    Don''t make me laugh.

Johnny Depp, Renee Zellweger, Tom Cruise and Sandra Bullock are A'' list celebrities.

Our prize pair, might, just might, at a push scrape a Z in celebrity circles.

Get real Archant and knock off sucking up to our two Z'' listers!
no, they are American actors / actresses. However, here in the United kingdom, Stephen Fry is one our best known comedians, tv host, author and general entertainers. I know who i''d rather share a pint with!
Err?

There are many, many more ahead of him in the ratings Marty, and Delia isn''t even on the lists ffs.
Got this far down, and got bored. You''re such a twat wiz.

  11.
It does provide the extra man for cover, and can actually be used as a very attacking formation as it frees central midfielders to go forward, or to play advanced wingers. Hence, man utd last season, Chelsea under Mourinho... look at Barcelona, they play practically a 4-2-4 at times but they compress space by playing so, so far up the pitch and pressing from the front that the other team just has no room to play. Then they dominate possession. Now, it''d be a dreamworld for us and I''m not comparing - all I''m saying is the formation is largely just numbers - its who uses it, and how they use space, that determine whether it works. The diamond has, so far, proven to be very effective, but its a bit untested with our new players. If they can dominate midfield like last year, and if the full backs can work extra hard, it''ll work again.
There''s more than one shyster, it seems... [;)]

Inspired by a similar question posed on the guardian: would you have Marlon King at your club?
If, in between training sessions and matches, he was stored in a Hannibal Lecter-style cell where he couldn''t assault, threaten or violate any woman or man that takes his fancy, then yes.  Otherwise, no.
On second thoughts, this.

  13.
Inspired by a similar question posed on the guardian: would you have Marlon King at your club?

    My answer is no.

Unfortunately, although I believe in rehabilitation and second chances, I also see being a professional footballer as a priveleged life and I struggle to see it as a job.  So my judgement is clouded by that and it prevents me from being objective.  Were we talking about a bin man who wanted a second chance on the bin route, I might be more inclined to give him that second chance.

King has been found guilty and served time, yet I believe he is still protesting his innocence and is appealing.
Never. He''s a massive cunt.

  14.

Find someone who gets free phone calls or hourly free phone call deals etc and ask them to put Radio Norfolk next to the phone. You should have a phone with a volume thing Bit cheapskate but if you are a student, needs must
Thats what I did for a few games last season. Ring home, stick phone on loudspeaker, home sticks phone on loudspeaker next to the radio. Job done.
I don''t know if anyone is aware, but I had an account years back, and despite not paying anymore it still works, and multiple people can use is at once. Anyone else in the same position?

Having spoken at length to Richard Gough this morning and indeed last night regarding the concerns over the £50 season ticket reprint charge i hope this response is satisfactory for everyone including Rudolph Hucker and Purple Canary

When the fee to replace tickets was zero reprints ran at 500 a season. When the £20 fee was introduced it dropped dramatically to 200 and when season ticket holders rang requesting a duplicate and were informed of the fee Richard states that it was amazing how many were suddenly found or the caller never rang back.To me that says a lot.

The Club will not charge a fee to replace the ticket for anybody that has proof that they have been the subject of a crime(theft, burglary etc) and provide documentary proof such as a police or insurance reference number.

In many cases the Club will initially replace a plastic ticket with a paper copy for the first game so that the "loser" as ample opportunity to locate the lost ticket.

The bottom line is that Richard says the club are trying to impress upon people the importance of the value of their season ticket and to take extreme care of it.

Richard will take calls from anybody on this subject on his direct line Tel No.01603 218713.
As angry as I was when heard about the charge, you can''t say fairer than that really.

Even when they had to find a new manager they took the cheapest possible option. Burnley are not going to have paid ''silly money'' for him, firstly because its just a loan secondly when they have a very decent keeper in Brian Jensen. Non of us know or will ever know the financial ins and out of what we offered and what Newcastle wanted, but it does worry me that we couldnt match Burnley for a loan fee.
Brian Jensen is not a very good keeper at all. Fraser will be first choice, or at least certainly should be.
Thats funny, Burnley seem to think he is a Premier League class goalkeeper.
Did you watch any of Burnley''s games last year? He was way off the pace, a very average championship keeper now.
