Radio Norfolk Commentary and Canary call
mighty yellow replied to Steve Mortlock's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
During tonight''s match Roy Waller on hearing that Barmby had scored for Hull said that he had been a good buy for Hull and he had always thought that Barmby had potential! 23 caps for England and transfers of almost £20m, good call Roy, definitely one to watch. -
Service to Ashton
I disagree, mighty yellow, players have minds of their own (small ones in some cases, admittedly) and if Ashton isn''t getting the ball where he wants it, he''s bound to go looking for it!He''s not instr...
Barman. I know what you mean but Worthy once said in an interview that Deano couldn''t just play in between the width of the posts, and my question is why? I want him to, as I said, it worked alright at Crewe! OTBC Worthy OUT -
Sing Up The Riverend...!!
mighty yellow replied to Flick Fleck's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I sit in the Jarrold Stand and make a point of shouting sit down at people who get in my way due to leaving early. I mean, you wouldn''t go to the cinema and leave 5 minutes before the end. Me, my dad and Sister live a fair way away, and always stay until the end. The worst is when a really tense game say 1 up with 10 to play, and people start to leave! Why on earth would you leave? Really does my head in. Anyway, rant over OTBC Worthy OUT -
We stand on the brink . . . .
mighty yellow replied to chicken's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
A nice post with some good points, but I have to disagree with the team selection. Hux and Ashton doesn''t work up front, we know that, and Brennan is just awful anywhere in midfield. I''m not saying that Worthy is a bad manager, I simply feel that it is time for a change. He has taken us as far as possible, and has possibly lost the dressing room (Megson last year.) After every win, I become a stupidly optimistic fan, and you''re right, we can definitely make up 6-7 points, IF we play anywhere near our potential. That is where the problem lies. Can you really see us turning it round? We just don''t seem to care. I thank Worthy for his services, and ask him to step down. OTBC Worthy OUT -
Service to Ashton
mighty yellow replied to Northern Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Northern, I think part of the problem is how Worthy is telling him to play. He goes wide a lot and I think that is something he has been told to do. I remember reading/hearing something about how Ashton played between the posts at Crewe, but that he can''t do that here. Why exactly? He was doing a lot better there. I do agree with your points, though we could do with a new almost everything OTBC Worthy OUT -
http://news.google.co.uk/news?q=aston+villa+hendrie+loan&hl=en&lr=&sa=N&tab=nn&oi=newsr I hope to God Worthy is working to bring him here. If we brought Hendrie here it would be amazing, he is excellent getting forward and in my opinion would be an excellent partner for Safri. He wants first team football, and could definitely help us to turn this hell of a season around. We would have no hope of keeping him on a permanent basis, but at the moment I would take anyone who is a midfielder just to bring in another option. To bring in someone of his quality would be fantastic. Also, while browsing Villa''s website about this, I saw De la Cruz is also listed as a ''midfielder'', although I did think he was a full-back. I have also heard he is unhappy and considering a loan move for first team football. Premiership experience, two legs, MIDFIELDER, fits the bill too I suppose. Anyone know anything about him other than the fact he''s Equadorian? OTBC Worthy OUT

Ways of making him go.Any ideas??
How about when the PR man tries to get the crowd going with OTBC at the beginning of games at Carrow Road we just ignore him and remain silent?
Definitely. It''s slightly cringeworthy anyway, and would definitely send out a message to both Worthy and the players. THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Let them know straight away all is not well, and that they have to perform. OTBC Worthy OUT -

Sorry, but I would rather play ANYONE at the club (bar Charlton and Fleming) at left-mid than Jim "I''m actually a defensive minded left back who can''t cross, takes two touches before playing it backwards and has never played a memorable part in any match" Brennan. He should be sold, loaned out or released, but certainly not played. Agree that Hucks needs some inspiration, but who can replace him?

His future at Brighton is in doubt as he refuses to apologise to McGhee, see below. http://www.sportinglife.com/football/nationwide1/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/05/11/07/SOCCER_Brighton.html&TEAMHD=nationwide1 Would be an excellent addition to the squad IMO, and could be the answer to our midfield problem. Although he is a striker, he has been played in a deeper midfield role this year and has been good. If he wants out and McGhee wants him out, I can''t see him costing anymore than £1m. His proven track record of scoring and providing would be what we need. Unfortunately, he has fallen out with his manager, and a player like that doesn''t usually attract Worthy, but when the next manager comes in (fingers firmly crossed) he could be a great signing.
I was at the game and it was poor. What was worse is that on Sunday I watched a 1st round FA cup match on the BBC and Chase Town who are 8 leagues below us played much more attractive football than I...
"attractive"?????!!!??!? RIGHT WINGER IS ESSENTIAL IN TRANSFER WINDOW
mighty yellow replied to Craig Brown's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City

We do need a right winger, but we need a whole new team and Manager at the moment OTBC Worthy OUT -

boo boys are pathetic
mighty yellow replied to tom lansdale's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I have never booed before, during or after the game. I don''t personally see the value in it. However, yesterday was, and I have thought through every word I know to describe it, disgusting. Sheffield Wednesday are poor. They were one of 6-7 teams actually BELOW us at the start of play, with arguably no players anyone has ever heard of, and we were outplayed. From start to finish they had a gameplan, and we didn''t. They frustrated us, and, as my uncle said about two minutes before they scored "they look just as, if not more likely to score". From this point of view I can understand the booing, but I assume it was mainly directed towards Worthy. He has lost the dressing room, and for all the players efforts after they scored, we didn''t pin them back or even look like scoring. 8 goals conceded in our last 3 league games against shite opposition. Totally unacceptable. Worthy OUT OTBC -
Hello Jim We have all heard them I am sure, and they can go a very small part of the way to explaining. This is a moderated forum though, and a lot of these rumours do not make it through, and almost certainly not in their original state. However, I will simply list the players that I have heard rumours about from people who work at Carrow Road on a regular basis: McKenzie McVeigh Ashton Are there any I''ve missed? Worthy OUT OTBC
SELL, SELL, SEll! Huge dissapointment this season - his mind is obviously elsewhere!
Don''t be ridiculous, he has been injured for every game this season, and he still has 5 goals!! If we are going to be promoted and then stay in the premiership, Deano is the key. -
Robinson missed training - Greeno for England!
mighty yellow replied to Herb's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Sky Sports News says that Robinson was only left out as a precaution and that his injury is nothing to worry about. I think the game against Poland should be used to try out some different players. We all know what Owen, Ferdinand etc. can do, why not try some other players? Unfortunately Herb, I doubt Green will be played. I mean, whats the point in having to substitute goalkeepers with 45 minutes England experience. If, in the semi-finals Robinson is injured, imagine the nerves for Green and Kirkland, having never really played being thrown in the deep end. Greeno should play, but sadly, he won''t.
