1. This isn''t meant as an I''m a better fan post, and I was and still remain an optimist for this season. However, at the Hull game, and I''m sure others will back me up, we were dire. Dublin''s goal, although an excellent finish, came completely out of the blue. We didn''t look like scoring all game, and by the time we began to attempt to attack, it was injury time, and the game was already lost. As Rudolph stated on another post, I don''t believe that it is necesarily the defence that needs strengthening, but a total overhaul of our tactics. Long ball returned, and it inevitably ended up with our defence on the back foot for nearly the entire game. I remain optimistic, I believe Grant can get it right, but a dramatic improvement will be needed on Saturday. Let''s hope we get it. OTBC
2. Aside from Florent Malouda, who was extremely highly rated and looks to be a good acquisition, Chelsea look to be relying on free transfers this summer, backed up even further by the snubing of Alves for Beletti. Only time will tell whether Abramovich et al have worked wonders or shot themselves in the foot. Is the same not true for us?
3.

put in a poll.   personally, i say ditch the music full stop!
Couldn''t agree more.  I prefer the noise of the crowd any day.
Why not both, the music isn''t so loud it''s overbearing. On a related note, my dad had a string quartet play Samba de Janerio on his wedding day as he walked down the aisle. :-) Think what you want of that...
4. Good result, but his interview on Skysports News just reminds you what we''re not missing. "Sit-choo-a-shun" anyone?
5.
Why change from the ''Samba De Janerio''? The Samba stays!!!
Second!
6. ...what a Wolves fan thinks? A yes or no would do I think, though feel free to elaborate.
7. There was a feature in the Preston programme, Croft talking about his team-mates. Huckerby is lazy, Chadwick isn''t that ugly, and the only word Strihavka knows is "tune", apparently
8. Anyone at the game yesterday will have seen Big Dave warming up before the game. Fair enough they didn''t go in, but he almost snapped the crossbar and then the post with his next one. He has one hell of a shot on him if that was anything to go by
9. Some people obviously don''t enjoy slagging the scum, but I enjoyed it. They are going down the pan even more so than us. So they finished higher than us last season, most people did, but we are currently a far more attractive prospect in my opinion and, call it blind optimism, but I''m, certain we''ll have them hoome and awy this year. OTBC! Down Town!
10. Fair point. No-one likes losing to the binners but keep this form up and we are going places. The squad is @rse though in all fairness, bring on January
11. There is only one way to get the best out of our best players, and that is 4-3-3. Huckerby isn''t a striker in my opinion, but he cannot play in a system that requires him to do a huge amount of tracking back. In a 4-3-3, Croft, Hux and Earnie are all free to attack, getting back when possible, but primarily remaining attack minded. The 3 midfield players; Safri, Etuhu and Robinson at the moment, need to cover a lot of ground; Safri sits, and Robinson and Etuhu need to be box to box, wing to wing. The obvious problem is that Robinson isn''t necessarily up to this, and while Hughes would do this, there just isn''t enough quality there to make the most of this system. The back four is simple enough. They defend. If they see an opening, by all means they should exploit this, but when the ball comes back everyone of them has to be in position ready. I am happy that our first choice defence is at least good enough to keep us in a decent league position. Cover needs to be addressed but for now we have to make do with what we''ve got. The main weakness is in the centre of midfield. People are calling for Koumas, but he really isn''t the answer. With Hux and Crofty playing like they did on Tuesday, we don''t really need a lot more creativity at the expense of effort and discipline. Safri is too good for this division really, and Etuhu is doing his job brilliantly. Robinson could work in another system, but isn''t suited. Our first team at the moment i think is:                            Gallagher Colin               Doc         Shax            Drury                                Safri           Robinson/Hughes      Ethuhuhuhuhu Croft                                                          Hux                                   Earnie The only problem is Robinson''s position. This system, with the correct tactics applied, should make us playoff material, at least in my optimistic opinion. So...who do we sign? Mullins sounds like a good bet, though I can''t honestly say I''ve seen the guy a lot. Is it worth playing younger midfielders, e.g. young Jarvis, or is Robinson or Hughes good enough? More importantly, would anyone else play any differently to this?
12.
I think i have got them wrong. U r right Tom NCFC. I would love to see harewood alongside Earnie, what a partnership that would be but i think we have got to seriously look at a cheaper option maybe holt from forrest?
My mates a Forest fan, and he says Holt is a waste of space. Might be playing well this season but he''s not up to much apparently.
13. I have spoke to Joe Ferrari, and he says to finance a new tier on the City stand we''d need to spend around 5 years in the prem. So it''s not happening any time soon...
14.

What is the sudden obsession with Fleming?
With Worthy gone people have to harp back to last season''s/the season before''s scapegoats, I guess. I have no particular problem with Flem, he has done a good job and covered r/b pretty well for us at times last season.  Whether I''d have him start ahead of Shacks is doubtful, but Shacks was a bit off form recently and we don''t exactly have that much cover there - hence Worthy''s failed attempts to get O''Brien from Pompey.
I''m not harping back as you so eloquently put it, just starting a harmless topic on whether a member of our squad is good enough. In response to AH-J, I would rather see youth given a chance on the bench yes, there is no way Flem''s contract will be renewed at the end of this season, so give someone else a chance. Also, can''t Spillane play center back? Cave-Brown is a promising right-back, who I would much rather see as cover. I''d probably rather have Hughes on the bench as cover, at least he can run.
15. A simple yes or no will do, though feel free to add comments. I personally wouldn''t even have him on the bench anymore, he is not a Championship player, let alone a player punching towards the premiership. No.
16. Why not Shax? I always felt he was 1 game from being dropped under Nigel, and I think he''s a certain starter. We''ve seen the impact being given the captaincy can have on players, and he is always vocal. Would be a vote of confidence that he needs.
17.

hes been failing for TWO years so how the hell does that constitute kneejerk?
His record is no better, and if worse, only slightly worse than managers with similar resources available.  Southampton and Palace are still in our league, and if we were where they are now, we wouldn''t be having this conversation.  This ultimatum is about the last month, not the last 2 years, and you know it.
Palace and Southampton have both changed manager
18. The problem is, and I didn''t highlight it well enough, is that the ultimatum is far too short term. We all know that if we win 2-0 on Sunday, we''ll get a first teamer then next day saying the win was for the fans, one saying it was for Nigel, then it''s back to square one. I feel we may be being conned again, though I might be wrong...
19. Delia has finally spoken about the current situation at the club. However I am still not satisfied. They have simply decided to release this statement to try and keep us happy. It does hint around the fact that the next two games could seal Worthy''s fate, but I''m not interested in possibilities. All I want is a simple statement of ambition, for example; we want x amount of points by January, or we need to be in x position by January. But no, all we get is we hope he can rectify things. You say the fans deserve more, well I feel we deserve more from YOU Delia!
20. After Mr Doncaster has put it through the complicated computer software that he invented, he will be able to prove beyond reasonable doubt that when all things are accounted for correctly, on a like for like basis, less interest, tax, VAT, poll tax, the fact that it''s raining, the hotel curtains, etc, etc, Nigel is actually left with £873.39 from the Green sale.
21. What a !!**^^ load of  !!!***!!, **!!** you all talk, I "£!!*& disagree will!!£$$** all of you £$(*^%!!. There, that should stir it up. PS. Even if I do disagree with Yankee !**!!
