  1. Not the same as Norwich's yellow. Hull's colour is, according to their own website, amber.
  2. Ah, I knew that there was a 3rd team that played in amber/gold, Watford obviously not worth mentioning.
  3. I was aware of contractual arrangements for alternative sponsors but I think there has always been a kit change for Norwich Wolves/Hull for example.
  4. I'm surprised that Leicester & Coventry both played in blue. Usually the away team plays their 2nd/3rd strip even if there's a hint of colour similarity e.g. Hull yesterday.
  5. That's called "doing a Leeds" isn't it ? It even has a Wiki page ! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doing_a_Leeds
  6. I think mainly white with green is preferable. I wonder how visible green shirts etc. are in the peripheral vision of a player against a green-grass background.
  7. Did any fans drive Webber or Farke out or did you just make that up as it fits in with what you wanted to say ?
  8. "Webber informed the club's joint majority shareholders, Delia Smith and Michael Wynn Jones, of his decision at the turn of the year." - So the Board have known for 6 months ? Radio Norfolk news said they were looking for a replacement externally.
  9. You could have imagined a similar scenario with Webber and Wagner here but that hasn't come up roses so far, has it ? We had a good 18 minutes at Coventry though.
  10. Ipswich blew a 2-goal lead twice in the same game. That was impressive, especially as they scored twice in injury time only to concede twice too.
  11. You can't blame Cov for that. They could hardly have thrown a game to win. They just played when the fixtures were scheduled. Everton were on the beach by then. IMO, the blame for that was with the FA. I think since that season all last matches are played at the same time to help prevent teams from easing off.
  12. Yes, they bottled it. Missed pen and many chances squandered.
  13. You can't blame Cov for that '85 episode. If anyone, it should be Everton, for not playing as competitively as they should, or the Football League for leaving such an important fixture as a stand alone match after everyone else had packed up and gone home. I've disliked Coventry for many other reasons.
  14. Apart from Fulham, I'm sure most clubs could survive in the Prem if they spent that much money.
  15. Back in the day (1970s, I think), some of my dad's friends had season tickets for Norwich AND Ipswich as they had an agreement of some sort, to alternate home and away games. May have been policing, may have been commercial reasons. Not sure.
  16. Odd that considering it was Webber who said he'd only be around for 5 years or so and then he'd **** off to Germany and we were all wanting him to stay, now it's the other way round !
  17. It did. Can't remember when. It was a while ago. 2001/02 Blackburn 10th Fulham 13th Bolton 16th 2011/12 Swansea 11th Norwich 12th QPR 17th 2017/18 Newcastle 10th Brighton 15th Huddersfield 16th https://www.premierleague.com/news/2978789
  18. I guess it's subjective what should or shouldn't warrant an open-bus celebration but two consecutive automatic-promotions, of which Norwich were the first to do this into the Prem (Man City needed the play-offs, Southampton did the same a year after Norwich) and getting into the Prem in itself, especially on no parachute payments is, in my totally biased opinion, a far greater achievement than finishing 2nd in League 1 after trying for 4 years.
  19. Not really. Forest spent £150mil on their squad, didn't they and are only just above the drop zone. If either Leicester or Everton get 1 point from their game in hand over them, Forest are in the bottom 3 again.
  20. I imagine that by the law of averages, any half decently well run club in the 3rd tier will get promoted within 4 seasons.
  21. I'm disappointed that Sheff W messed it up. They were looking good for 1st or 2nd spot not that long ago.
  22. We were 11th when Smith got the boot; 3 points of 6th having played a game more. 11th now. 2 points off 6th, same game played. Marginal gains.
  23. He's taken 3 points off the Binners with his two goals against them. Legend already.
