  1. I was at that Villa Park game Vs Everton. Obviously, the attention of many was diverted away from the pitch in front of us at the time.
  2. Man City relegated that season. Watford finished 2nd !
  3. I was probably at that game and so correspondingly would have the programme for it. As I was about 10, I doubt I started any trouble, although I may have blown a raspberry at someone and it all kicked off from there.
  4. I doubt VAR was/is accurate enough to make a call on quite a few decisions, including that Pukki Vs Spurs one. It'd be quite interesting to know what the frame rate and dimensional tolerance is.
  5. FAIL. I just don't follow Newcastle to the same extent as others.
  6. I have no idea what goes on in your mind.
  7. What did you want me to do ? Print out on a banner towed by an aeroplane and give it a 12-gun salute ?
  8. Realise that I already had before you reply with "Read my comment".
  9. Fair enough re. injuries and not yet spending megabucks. I just noticed a reasonable number of duff results for a club supposedly doing the next Chelsea/Man City (I can remember when Chelsea were about the same level as what Fulham have been for the past few seasons. They've almost returned to that now !)
  10. If I understand correctly, Newcastle spent £Gazillions to squander on their squad, haven't they ? They've recently recorded these outstanding results: Newcastle 1-3 Nottm Forest Luton 1-0 Newcastle Tottenham 4-1 Newcastle Everton 3-0 Newcastle Bournemouth 2-0 Newcastle Not that impressive really, is it ?
  11. I'm also from GY ! I owned a house in Holbrooks for 3 years or so, just over from where the Ricoh now is although it was just wasteland and an old gas tower when I lived there. Some would say it still is.
  12. I used to live in Cov, spent some time staying in Leam and then was staying in Nun for 6 1/2 years. Now live back in the glorious Norwich. Maybe I could be an associate member, exchanging woeful tales of the old A14 Catthorpe Interchange, A11 through Elveden queuing as far as the eye could see and the lottery that was, and still is, the Cov ring road. A sight to behold:
  13. I can't stand that main commentator for Sky. He's so annoying; gets excited at every goal, regardless of which side scores it, so he's obviously feigning the excitement for at least one of the side's goals.
  14. Just listening to Mick Mills sounding very bitter on Radio Suffolk.
  15. When Ipswich went 1-0 up I thought it was going to be one-way from traffic from then on. Fantastic result for Norwich, as would any away draw at a top-2 side.
  16. Regardless of it being against Ipswich, a draw away at any top-6 side would be a good result.
  17. Which interview is this ? No reference to the particular one in question.
  18. It was ! I agree. I've since seen the highlights and the 3 goals make Norwich look like quite a fluent, attacking team. Quite a few clenching moments where Sheff W went close though !
  19. Coventry were unlucky not to get a draw against the Binners recently, missing a penalty, so they're not invincible but they do manage to keep going when the match isn't going to plan. On two occasions we've thrown away a two-goal lead, so I wouldn't be surprised at a 3-2 loss for us.
  20. Playing Devil's Advocaat here, the weather was quite bad, so I imagine that quite a few used that as the final decider to stay away. But yes, it looked very poorly attended. There were large regions of seats unattended all round the ground other than the Barclay. Where I was there were 5 seats to my right unattended, with many sets of 3+ seats that were clearly vacant.
