1. A better way to improve the atmosphere would be for a couple of large groups of voiciferous 18 - 35 year olds to be formed with one group sitting in the Jarrold close to the away fans and another group to sit in the Nand P lower to try and spread the noise around the ground a bit more, think Ipswich do something similar with their section six group although I think with the size of their crowds it''s probably difficult to create any kind of an atmosphere in that place. in that god forsaken place.

If we stay free from injury we certainly have a chance of getting promoted but as things stand at the moment if we lose Holt or Russell Martin to injury I don''t think we have adequate replacements for them and we could struggle. As ever it all comes down to money and I live in hope that we will have a new owner or serious investment by Christmas so we have a bit to spend to strengthen in January and push for the top towards the end of the season when it matters. I certainly think we have a manager more than capable of getting us promoted and it could make things very interesting if we suddenly came in to a bit of cash.
Well I don''t want Norwich to buy success I want to see the team, the Manager and the Club earn it. I don''t have any respect for Manchester City or even Chelsea, although its getting there as their players seem to have been around for a long time now. I want us to have success through prudence and careful planning and hard work. I want the boys to be rewarded, if they get there, with a crack at the Pemiership and earn some of the wages will be available. We are, I think, in the top six now, and I think we will stop there. Cardiff and Leeds will come their usual croppers  along with Ipswich and Lambert will determine that he does not want to risk the play-offs and go for a top two finish. I would think that by Christmas Carters will be fine tuning their bid for the second tier on the City Stand and the Bank will be agreeing a bridging loan for the £1.5 million it is going to cost. The deeds for the strip of Carrow Road that is in front of the Directors'' entrance will have been handed over to the Club and we can look forward to the glory days again of local Derbys with Tottenham, West Ham and, dare I say it, Arsenal.
Tbh I would much rather football was how it was 20 years ago so that clubs like ours could still compete in the top division but sadly I don''t see it happenning, I also have no time for Chelsea or Man City but without money we are not on a level playing field anymore and as wrong as it is sadly that''s the way football is nowadays.

 4.
I dont think Askou has been unfairly treated even if as seems likely he is left out today. It surely is all about what is best for our team. I have seen many threads on here saying certain players were fine in league 1 and surely Askou comes into that category. Ward and Barnett played an awful lot of games together last year at Coventry. Lambert clearly classes Ward as his number 1 centre half. He has been quite clever and signed a player that is not only good, has played regular with Ward but has also shown he is very good at this level. If it works out and we are challengeing in January then it also gives us the option to find £2m in January to sign him. Our club needs to improve week by week month by month and certainly season by season. To do that we must have the same mentality as Lambert in that reputations within our club stand for nothing. If we are pushing for promotion or get promoted and have the oppurtunity to sign a better centre forward than Holt what do we say - Holt should carry on playing as he is Holt?. Quite clearly we have signed a quality centre half proven at this level, bad luck on Askou but surely good for our club. At least we know if Barnett does not perform Lambert will admit to his mistake Askou will get a chance but then will have to improve on what Barnett has done. We now have a centre half prooven in the premier league as opposed to a centre half prooven in league 1. In supporting my club I know which one I would rather have.
Barnett won''t cost anywhere near 2 million, he''s out of contract at the end of the season so if he does well I''d guess that we will loan him until the end of the season and agree to buy him for a reasonable fee in the summer.
 5.
Well our lot go to nearly all away games as well at home of course. I think it''s sung far too much and much prefer other chants, particularly some of the spontaneous ones that come along now and then. OTBC is a famous and historic song but for me it is not particularly attractive. I wish we had a more aggressive anthem but then I''m a miserable old git who also hates the name Canaries
I''m with you on that,  I often stand at games thinking it would be nice if we sung some different songs. Quite a few of the songs are quite cringeworthy especially the ones directed at the Barclay from the snakepit and vice versa.
 6. Leicester in the early eighties when we won 4-1.Grimsby on the way to the 85 Milk Cup final, we won 1-0 and it was about minus 20 that night.Sheff Wed last game of season when we got promoted even though we lost.Play Off Final.Milk Cup Final.Barnsley 2-0 in play off year.Charlton last year.
 7. Can''t see it happening, far to soon for Lambert to even consider managing in the prem when he''s hardly managed above League 1. Them odds mean bugger all, seem to remember that Roeder wasn''t even in the top five in the betting when he got the job here.
 8. I still think we lack a big strong physical player in the middle of the park and that shows up even more when we come up against a side like Blackburn, there are plenty of sides with bruisers in the Championship and we don''t really have any big buggers to give as good as we get in that area. I expected us to get beat tonight but it would be nice if we could at least run these sort of teams a bit closer and give them much more to think about for a change. Respect to the fans who made the trip,  I''d never even consider travelling such a long way in midweek  for what was a relatively unimportant game.
 9. We may have had a chance of beating them here but Ewood Park is a very hard place to get a result,  as usual we don''t seem to get the rub of the green with the draw and end up getting dumped out of the cup without making much money. FFs as I type it''s 3-0.
 10.
Half time folks.  Not too bad, lets hope Lambert gee''s them up at half time   Possession Blackburn 49% Norwich 51% Attempts on target Blackburn 5 Norwich 2 Attempts off target Blackburn 2 Norwich 2 Corners Blackburn 4 Norwich 0 Fouls Blackburn 4 Norwich 2
It sounds like they have murdered us according to McInally on ssn but the stats seem to suggest that we haven''t been totally outplayed.
 11. I thought they were decent but for all their possesion they only created a couple of decent chances. I thought the heat also played a major part in them having so much of the ball, it was simply to hot for our players to chase and harry them for 90 minutes so I think we invited them to try and break us down and played on the break like the away side. Dangerous game to play but if we had got in their faces and played a high tempo game we''d have been knackered after 30 minutes and they''d have just picked us off in the second half.
 12. Sadly I think they will be to good for us, our only hope is that they take us lightly and rest a few. 3-0 to Blackburn.
 13.

if i was a swans fan just getting back and watching those highlights i''d do a double take of the match i''d just watched.....fls made it out like we dominated them in truth it was vice versa but can''t complain about the footage we were given this week....though the whole way it is projected with lizzy and clem is still cringe worthy
Swansea may have had the lion''s share of possession, but I don''t remember Ruddy having to make too many saves. On balance we (obviously) created more clear cut chances.
Spot on, I heard someone saying we were lucky walking away from the game but the only bit of luck we had was with the own goal and even that was caused by a superb ball into the box. They may have had a lot of possesion but they didn''t create as many good chances as us and they deserved a point but if you don''t score you don''t win games.
 14.

It goes without saying some clubs that find investment end up being either no better off or a damn site worse of than before but there are also other clubs that have secured investment and gone from strength to strength,  Stoke wouldn''t have got anywhere near the prem without Mr Coates millions and Fulham would still be in league one without Al Fayeds cash backing them up. Marcus Evans hasn''t exactly been a bad thing for the scum up to now either, they have agreed a fee of 750k for Scotland and have reportedly had a 3 million quid bid for Chopra rejected.  They''re problem is that they have a manager who doesn''t spend the money very wisely but Evans certainly doesn''t seem to mind putting his hand in his pocket when necassary.
And of course Norwich wouldn''t be where they are now without Delia Smith''s millions. But those millions aren''t enough, especially if they are wasted by inept football managers and players. Stoke and Fulham are two clubs out of 92 but the sums involved are far more than Delia Smith has. Al Fayed and Coates are two of the richest men in England. However they are not rich enough to take their clubs anywhere near the top of the Premier League and that should set alarm bells ringing but of course it doesn''t. The top clubs have some of the richest men in the world owning them and yet are in enormous debt. Even that doesn''t set alarm bells ringing for some. In fact some of the dimwits on this forum can''t understand why this club can''t get anywhere near the heights we attained under Big Bob in the 90''s. It all has to be down to the cook who has just been joined by a gay icon[:O] But it''s your last statement that really interests me. Would you seriously trade what we have now with Delia for what the binners have with the invisible man?
If I''m being brutally honest even though I think Delia has had her day I wouldn''t want Evans to replace her mainly because I don''t really know much about him but it cannot be argued that he has made some serious money avaliable to spend on players and with a half decent manager they would most likely have done much better with the funds they have had avaliable over the last couple of years. No problem with Fry joining the board and we can only hope he has the right contacts to find us some much needed investment.

Well he had these without being a director and has he influenced anyone to invest? I really can''t see the point of this appointment other than to boost Delia''s ego and the number of her supporters on the board.
Although I can see where you''re coming from my hope is that he has contacts in the right places to attract some real money to the club,  having said that the cynical side of me thinks that we have been searching for investment for ages now and while some clubs seem to have parties intereseted in investing in them the best we can do is recruit people onto the board who don''t have the money to actually make a difference.
But how many times do these some clubs live to regret getting involved with the parties that are interested in investing in them? A lot of people on here were jealous of the deal struck between Sheepshead and the Invisible Man. Would you now want that interest here?
What is the alternative though nutty?  Our football club needs money badly and even though it needs to be done properly at some point we need to attract significant funds to the club if we are to ever compete and we don''t seem to be any closer to achieving that aim than we were a year ago.
Well of course a year ago we were in League One. But the way I see it all those other clubs that got that so called investment still can''t compete either. They are just in even more debt. The envy club of choice this time last year was Preston. Would you change places with them now?
It goes without saying some clubs that find investment end up being either no better off or a damn site worse of than before but there are also other clubs that have secured investment and gone from strength to strength,  Stoke wouldn''t have got anywhere near the prem without Mr Coates millions and Fulham would still be in league one without Al Fayeds cash backing them up. 18. He did say on Anglia News that he didn''t have enough money to invest 23 million quid but he knew people who had and he''d be talking to them.
 19.
Appointed as director (official SMS)
Hopefully there will be som money involved.
 20. Refuse to get excited,  I don''t think Stephen Fry is rich enough to make a big difference but he probably knows a lot of wealthy people so hopefully there''s more to it that meets the eye.
 21. RIP Adam Stansfield, condolences to his family.
 22.

Getting rid of Doherty was the right decision, problem is we don''t yet know whether or not Ward is good enough to replace him. Ward has been around the Championship for a while and has been ok so I''m hopeful he will get better, wish I could say the same of Nelson but I just don''t see him being quick enough to cope.
So is Nelly a better player than Doc  kdncfc?
No Nelson is not a better player than Doc imo Nutty,  given the choice I''d rather have kept Doc than Nelson but I would have preferred us to have offloaded the pair of them tbh. Doc has ended up playing for a league one side, if he was that good he would have been snapped up by a Championship club. If we want to progress in this division we need to have better players than either of them playing in the centre of defence,  I really fear for us when we come up against the better teams and just hope Lambert can improve things before it gets to painful.

 24. No, most of them have been here for several weeks now so have had plenty of time to settle in. In an ideal world I''d say we need another centre back as well as a big powerful midfielder and another big striker.
 25. If we perform on the pitch I think the extra seats will sell more often than not whatever the price, impossible to read to much into last nights attendance with it being on tv and a lot of people on Holiday.
