Don''t think anyone with the exception of Crofts deserved any more than a 5 tonight, Russell Martin and Ward were a 3 at best with the rest of em 4 or 5. Can''t believe we had so little fire in our bellys as it was the first game of a new season, very disappointing but not going to go overboard on the strength of one performance. Needless to say we''ll have to get much better if we are to compete in this league. -

They got lucky in having a very wealthy fan in Mr Gibson who was prepared to put his hand in his bocket to bankroll them to the prem.I don''t think they particularly stand out above anyone else this year, Boyd may or may not get goals in the Championship and even though I think they''ll be top eight I don''t see how they have much more about them than several other clubs in the division. -

If you go on the offy site and click on tickets it lists the Watford game as grade A and the pricing for grade A says from twenty seven pounds which I took to be in the Barclay and N + P. Jarrold and City stand central areas will be more expensive. -

Dont disagree with your point, what I am saying is would we really have sold anymore if it would have been £25 per ticket and do we really need a capicity of 35000. This ground thing only seems to come up with success or PL football, at other times I reckon we will get the same crowd as we have always got. If we sell all our casual tickets this would net an extra £30k ie 5000 x £6. If we finish up with 1000 tickets left we still make more money than last years prices thats without the extra revenue from additional seaon tickets. Most of our prices are still cheaper than most. Work that out over a season and it wont be far off the extra budget Paul Lambert has. Sell out every game and he will be given more money in January.

Had it have been Leeds or Ipswich we would have sold out a couple of weeks ago irrespective of the price of the tickets and could probably sell 30k for a game against either of them even if it was on tv. It will be interesting to see how quickly the Ipswich game sells out in November with it being on the BBC nd the tickets being even more expensive.If we get to the prem I would say that we definitely need a 35k capacity but 30k would be more than enough for the Championship. I''ve been in CR with over 37k during the seventies and I''m sure we have more fans than we had back then, I''m sure those kind of figures could be replicated in the prem against the bigger clubs if we were to get there and increase capacity. -

Tickets for the Watford game are twenty seven pounds for members and twenty nine for non members, the only tickets that break the thirty pound barrier are in the central areas of the Jarrold and City stands and in the Watford section. I have a season ticket this year but was a casual fan last season and I paid twenty seven quid in the upper Barclay for Hartlepool and thirty two quid in the same place for the Leeds game in a lower league so I don''t really see that the prices are any worse than last year all things considered.. -
With the capaciy at 27k even if there is a thousand unsold seats there should be in the region of 25500 and looking at the online ticketing there doesn''t look to be much more than a thousand left and there''s still 3 days to go. Still a very good crowd considering it''s on tv. -
I don''t think there''s any team that particularly stands out this year, many seem to be tipping Boro but I don''t really see anything that makes them stand out from the rest. If Forest can deal with the disappointment of going close last season they could well be the team to beat but other than that there is at least a dozen teams with a realistic chance of going up including us. We may have just come up but plenty of teams have come up from league 1 and had a very good first season in the Championship and let''s not forget we are at least a Championship level club now back at the minimum level we should be at.My main concern is our defence, with Whitbread looking like he''s going to spend more time in the treatment room than on the pitch we look to be a bit thin on the ground in that department. I think Ward will be ok once he is fully fit but Nelson will be found wanting against teams with pacy strikers and I don''t see our goals against column being to healthy with the defence we''ve got. Still think we will regret not signing a replacement for Holt as I don''t see us being as potent with a Jackson/Martin partnership as we would be with a big lump playing alongside Martin or Jackson.I think we will finish somewhere in the top half of the table with much depending on how much if any cash we have avaliable in January, if a takeover or major investment materialises before the end of the year and funds are avaliable we could finish nearer the top. As things are at this moment in time I see us finishing around tenth. -

Current ones are in Hertord and Cambridge. Holt fitness - not match fit as too much pre-season missed, will be training hard this week and hopes to be in the squad for Watford. Asked about opponents this year he said he was looking forward to Forest at the City Ground and "sticking it up them" - clearly not happy how he was treated there. Leeds may well have a lot of history but they are where they deserve to be and no team has a divine right to be in the prem, the only player they have signed that I would have had is Billy Paynter and he''s as much of a gamble for them as Jackson is for us. Mid table at best imo. -

Seriously though, he played a very good season in a decent SPL (read mid table champ) team and can only improve with age, the kid''ll do fine!!
[/quote]Any keeper however good he may be will never totally eradicate mistakes from his game but as they get older mistakes do tend to become less common, to be fair to Green he has been a good keeper for West Shambles even though he has made the odd mistake. I think Ward and Nelson should also look at themselves and ask whether they could have done more to prevent that goal, Cahill had far to much room to turn and shoot because our central defenders weren''t close enough to him and they will need to sharpen their acts up before next week. -

He is still a young keeper and young keepers tend to make silly mistakes which look worse on them because they often end in a goal, Greeno made some terrible mistakes in his early days here but he did improve over time and I''m sure Ruddy will prove to be a good keeper for us. -
