1. Just back from the game and I''m still struggling to understand how we managed to lose, we battered them especially in the second half and wouldn''t have been flattered had we have won 5-0. Only critisicm from me is that we were far to wasteful in and around the box. Hull were a very poor team and while they got away with it today they won''t be winning away again for a very long time playing like that.

  2.
They are all doing very well thanks...Scotland has already got 2 in 5 which is pretty good retuen considering he''s not fit...Priskin has 3 goals, not bad considering he''s not played through the middle alot this season...Wickham overated, try telling that to the Cardiff fans that saw him play last weekend!
Seem to remember when we beat Scunthorpe your fans were saying it''s only Scunthorpe so does that mean todays result was poor for you?

  3. Just been looking at the online ticket sales and there is only about 500 tickets left, assuming Hull have sold their allocation we could be looking at a crowd of over 26k today. Always thought that the tickets would sell as the season went on, the decision to install the extra seats will look better as time goes on if we continue to flourish in this league.

Last night was my first experience of The Butcher Of Colney live and in the flesh and I have to say I was mightily impressed. He had all the numbers at his fingertips, answered every question fully and generally gave the impression of being in total control. I''d be happy to have him running my business!

His answer to the student was pretty solid. NCFC is a business, and one which was technically insolvent a year ago, so giving tickets away makes no economic sense. Yes, we might be encouraging future generations of support, but that will be of no relevance if the club ceases to exist. I thought that the student made his original point well, before the thrill of being on the soapbox got to him and he started to call for boycotts of games.
Did he say whether or not we are any closer to finding investment ?
No, but he made it very clear that part of the rationale behind Stephen Fry joining the Board was his network of contacts which may bear fruit at some point.

He also said that there was a 7 year plan to stabilise the club and get it to the point of being a Premiership regular, but that the increasing divide meant that it may need to be accelerated. He also said that the Board had agreed to every request that Lambert has made to sign a player.
Cheers, for the first time in ages I feel confidence in the way the club is being run and hopefully we can secure some investment in the not to distant future.

  6.
west brom paid 2.5 mil so doubt it, doc made too many fouls just outside (and inside) the area. I dont know how many times hes been sent off.
He''s out of contract in the summer and will probably be sold for less than 500k as a result, at that price I''d expect us to be in the running to sign him permanently.

I thought he could have stayed here until the end of the season after we got relegated and at least have given his all to try and help us get promoted, we did give him his shot at the big time and the least he could have done was show a bit of loyalty. He was still young and he was good enough to get his move in the summer had he turned the spammers down.As a Norwich fan there''d be no way on this earth I''d have considered moving to another club should I have been fortunate enough to play for them.
That''s ridiculous! Fair enough if Norwich were in the premiership, but Surely if say Man Utd came in with a huge wage offer, the chance of playing champions league football, much better England prospects, and the chance to win lots of titles you wouldn''t turn it down? I''d love to play for Norwich, as a fan, but the chance of more money and especially the chance to play on the worlds best stage and win the best trophies would be too much for anyone.
Yes I would turn United down because there is no way on this earth I could play for a team I hated as much as them,  you may not be able to earn as much money playing for Norwich as the bigger clubs but you could still earn far more than if you had a proper job and I''d consider it an honour to play for the club I''ve supported all my life.
That''s the standard reply from someone who has never been, or was ever likely to be, in that situation.
Obviously.

  10.
I haven''t been away for some time, but I have to say that out of 40 plus away games over the years, there have only been a few occasions when I thought our fans were in good voice. Too many families on a nice day out, quietly observing the proceedings, while me and my mates are shouting ourselves hoarse. Even goal celebrations can be somewhat subdued at times. Our fans bear no comparison vocally with the likes of Millwall''s travelling mob, that''s for sure.
Have to agree with that, there are plenty of teams around with far more vocal passionate fans than us. Went to Charlton last year the day we got promoted and the atmosphere was very good but in general I think we are quiet especially at home.

  11.
Drury in the first half was getting cut to shreds. Holt was very poor again, i''d play Martin and Jackson on saturday. Crofts or best player again in my opinion.
I personally don''t think Martin and Jackson will work, they didn''t look good against Watford and it wasn''t until Holt came on that we looked more like scoring. Holt is either struggling for fitness or he''s struggling against the better defenders in this league, I always felt that we needed to sign another big striker in the summer.

  12.

I rang Norwich ticket office this morning and they were quoting about 650 away tickets sold.  I rang to check that tickets were being sold on the door on the night and they confirmed this, so I''m going now and given the large number of Norwich fans based in South Yorkshire I think 1,000 is achievable. As for Ilderton, its been a long time since I''ve been so angry I''ve been close to being kicked out of a pub but watched that match on Sky, and having only had 3 pints I still stood in front of the screen and ranted at him as he left the pitch.  I said something along the lines of "You''ll never ref another Norwich match again".  Shows how little I know - less than 5 months later and he is in charge again.  I''ll give him one bad decision only before I pile in!
Large number of Norwich fans based in South Yorkshire??? Your joking right? Never in my 26 years of trudging the valleys and peaks of my great county have I ever seen a Norwich fan with a Yorkshire accent lmao.....oh dear the comedy. And 650 tickets sold! Cmon you can do better than that. We''re taking 6,700+ fans to Barnsley, although it''s a Yorkshire derby and not that far I''m sure a club with Norwich''s stature can manage more than a poultry 650.[/quote/]Even the daftest Norwich fans would admit that Leeds have more fans than us and are always likely to take more fans away but it''s also fair to say that any Norwich fans travelling from Norfolk will have to endure a hideous 3 hour journey to get to Donny and considering all this anything around a thousand is not a bad turnout. If it had been on a Saturday I have no doubt we would have sold our full allocation.

  13.
Were you at Forest kdncfc? That was a terrific game. Best I''ve seen us play in a long time.

I''ll still be please with anything 12th and above this season but am very pleased (and if i''m honest pleasantly surprised) with our start to the season and some of the football we''re playing. Would be great to pick up 4 or 6 points from these next two away games. Do that and everything is looking very rosey in the Canaries garden.
No wasn''t at Forest, my assumption is purely based on all the home games. Maybe we''ll up the ante a bit when we play the better sides here. Forest are on paper the best side we have played so hopefully we''ll rise to the occasion when the better teams come here.

  14. I think we have a chance but we don''t have enough pace or flair in the side to beat the top teams imo, we look a fairly solid unit that won''t lose to many games but we lack a Huckerby type player that makes things happen. Mcnamee is ok but I don''t see him winning us as many points as Hucks did if he was a regular starter. While we have looked good in patches we haven''t seen a particularly exciting game thus far, if we are to beat the better teams even at home we will need to be much sharper up front than we were yesterday. Martin scored a cracking goal but did very little else and Holt is either still struggling with his fitness or is struggling against the better defenders he is now coming up against.

  15. He needs to read the match stats, 56% possesion for us with 13 shots to their 4 and 2 corners to their 1. We were pretty average for much of the time but were still much better than them, I''m very relieved that we didn''t get Robins in as manager if that''s the kind of shite they serve up every week.

Had I not have read it on here I wouldn''t have known she''d even given an interview.
I quite agree.  So starting a thread to bash her just because she''s in the local paper talking about food (her "day job", after all) seems a bit harsh, wouldn''t you say?
Not something I would do but I guess some people have a lot of time on their hands.
