1. I though that the details of any takeover were announced at a press conference and that they were then subject to the approval of the shareholders which is normally a formality. I don''t think the shareholders have to be contacted until it has all been made public.
 2. I''m pretty sure that takeovers are usually announced and then go through if they''re accepted by the shareholders.
 3. He sounds as though he has the potential to be a good keeper, I''d far rather have our own player rather than borrowing someone elses any day of the week.
 4. I''d guess if it is true that it would be on the condition that the shareholders approved.
 5. Rumour has it that she may not be the owner of the club much longer.
 6.

Some of our resident experts thought Doherty was our best defender.....Lambert obviously didn''t.
Or maybe, just maybe, Lambert thought he was ok, but could do better for the money. Shades of grey Mello.
No maybes or shades of grey in my opinion. It''s a common and known fact that Doherty wasn''t a first choice selection centre-back for Lambert when he took the reins last season, and it was after all the injuries to players that allowed Doherty an opportunity to be in the side. If Lambert''s first choice 3 central defenders had remained fit and injury free....I actually think the Doc would have been bench-warming and probably gone in the January transfer window on loan - or maybe sold. If Lambert thought Doherty was a valuable asset, and also a essential piece of vertebrae in the NCFC defence backbone - he''d have made a real effort to retain his services....He didn''t, and I don''t just think it was down to finances. I''m not a Doc detester by the way, I liked his spirit and effort....and some of his other average qualities.  But I certainly wasn''t that disappointed when he was shown the door....I won''t miss him, and I don''t think the new side will....(neither will Lambert for that matter in my personal opinion). I''m actually, quite looking forward to seeing what Whitbread''s capable of alongside Askou - and also think Micky Nelson will be on the bench. I certainly wish the Doc well for the rest of his career. Although, if his new team (if he finds one) are to play us next season in any competitive (or cup-games for that matter)....I do hope that the Doc plays really absolute stinkers.
I would imagine Whitbread and Ward will be our first choice centre back pairing next season.
 7. He''s certainly a big bugger at just over six foot five, I''d guess it''s probably a permanent deal. Sounds a decent keeper and I''d guess it means that Forster is staying at Newcastle.
 8.
Kd, http://www.evertonfc.com/player-profile/john-ruddy
Thanks.
 9.
John Ruddy, who is a 23yo keeper from Everton. That is all!
Just been on their offy site and there isn''t a player by that name listed in their squad.
 10.
He was due to make an appearence at theNofolk show today with Holt, C. Martin, Wes and Fox but was not there? Could this mean he is on his way? i dont want to be reading too much into anything, and would love a different reason for him not being there as i think he has the potential to be a very good player for us
I''d be far more worried if it was Grant Holt or Wes who''d failed to turn up tbh, if he is on his way I''m sure Lambert has better alternatives lined up.
 11. A wingers job is primarily to get crosses into the box, more often than not he failed to do that. He did score a cracker against scum and he did work hard but he is no better than average in the championship imo. He may excel in league one.
 12.

Makes me proud, that in times of financial uncertainty, that so many people show their loyalty. And don''t doubt just how much our six fingered Suffolk "chums" wish they could pull in such numbers. OTBC.
Trust me, binners regularly pull in numbers, but not STs.[;)]
The Binners struggle to get 20,000 gates
Yes but they didn''t you know that they did win the FA cup and the UEFA cup many moons ago.
 13. Decent signing imo if we get him, he''ll add a bit of pace which for me is the one thing we lack. Still think we need another big striker in case Holt struggles or gets injured, we looked poor without him last season.
 14. There is over 1100 new seats being added which will take the capacity up to around 27200, should mean that for the scum and other big games we will end up with an attendance of around 26,800.
 15. I''ll go for 7.5 but it could increase to 9 with a couple more good signings.
 16.

lightweight? what like barca/spain?
Messi would find it difficult in the Championship.
Oh come on mate, Messi would be untouchable in the Championship.
He''d get kicked all over the place, obviously the comment about him struggling in the Championship was tongue in cheek but the point is players like Messi don''t like it if the opposing players get in their faces all the time.
 17.

lightweight? what like barca/spain?
They don''t play in  such a physical league, Messi would find it difficult in the Championship just like he did last night for 75 minutes although his class did shine through in the end.
Love it !!!!
Glad to hear it.
 18.
Korey smith will also add the strength. We were lost without him last season in the midfeidls.
Korey is hardly a physical presence although he does put himself about a bit.
 19.
lightweight? what like barca/spain?
They don''t play in  such a physical league, Messi would find it difficult in the Championship just like he did last night for 75 minutes although his class did shine through in the end.
 20. Pleased with the signings so far but we now need a bit of muscle in the middle of the park if we are not to be bullied in that area, Fox and Surman are both creative players and both are known as being lightweight. Not convinced Russell is good enough and he may well be leaving anyway so imo we need a Damian Francis type player to compliment what we have, I''d guess Lambert is aware of this having tried to sign Taiwo a few weeks ago. I''d really fancy us to make the top six this season if we can find the right player.
 21.

Shows we mean business and that probably Russell is going! To many people have believed all this "WE''RE SKINT" rubbish for too long. we have more money than we make out and always have had. If one reads the A/C''s carefully you''ll see that half the debt is a long bank loan that is being paid each year. When Norwich go on about the debt, its like someone with a £100,000 mortgage saying they are £100,000 in debt! The recent Tom Jones concert debacle cost the club a lot of money, something a club on the brink wouldn''t be able to do!
Can''t believe I''m reading this!! UNLESS we are being mysteriously funded from outside, the accounts speak for themslves - page 3 in particular says.......''to operate within ...existing finance facilities, additional funds of £2.9M will need to be generated to cover the deficit until May 2011''. OK that assumed Div. One budgeting but as we all know, Championship income is going to be very similar.  Yes - we took out a consolidated loan (''mortgage'' in your words) of £15M in 2003 and have been repaying that. BUT - whilst that has happened we have incurred year on year losses at a frightening rate which means TOTAL DEBT is £23M. I trust McNally not to be blind to these facts - unlike your goodself!
I''m pretty sure I remember Mcnally saying that Championship income will be in the region of 4 million more than league 1, because Newcastle and West Brom went straight back up their second years parachute payments are shared.
 22.
We don''t have that kind of money do we?
So we are led to believe but in reality no one really knows, problem is that because we have been skint for so long now many fans refuse to believe it when we do have some money. I have always said that one day our day will come to have some serious money put into the club and maybe that day has come, if you count the new seats being installed and the compensation paid to Col U that must have amounted to at least 1.5 million and that is before we have signed anyone. My feeling is that Mr Foulger has maybe pumped a few quid in.
 23.

Bullpoo according to the Middlesborough papers, and Charlton fans also seem to think that he wouldn''t want to move that far away from home. Some Charlton fans seem to think he''ll end up here or at QPR.
I didn''t say he was going to Boro, just that they had agreed a fee with Charlton.  It is the Pink'' Un sensationalist headline which says that and we have never officially come out to say we are even interested in him have we?  Just media reports wasn''t it?
I didn''t say you did say he was going to Boro, was just pointing out that their local paper said that they hadn''t agreed a fee. Wasn''t having a go at you in any way.
