  1. My era, because era is very important in terms of me lacking depth of historical knowledge of our greats, Holt is for me a hero. Villians, I dislike Mills but it’s only really as a pundit as that’s the time I’ve known him, so Naismith is my villain. Mercenary, took the money and produced little aside from a good debut and showed zero interest in the club. Other non performers have at least been outwardly nice guys. Naismith just seemed not to give a f***. I may have him wrong but it’s what I’ve interpreted from him
  2. You can’t whinge about him making his point and then intentionally bait him to come on and do it so you can moan again.
  3. As others say, Rowe for Onel. I’d also play Macallum ahead of Giannoulis. I just don’t rate Dimi.
  4. They have been looking at this though. So much data, so bring the time down to 60 minutes and incorporate the countdown clock.
  5. I feel really gutted for England this tournament tbh. An England side with Mead in along with Williamson, Walsh, Kirby just makes us a real force. James has been very good and Daly playing well, but this is one hell of a scrappy battling game. Getting past the first knock out round would be a good return in my view, but too many stronger sides with fewer injuries would unfortunately take advantage. I’m not convinced by Russo personally, but can’t think of who else would go there. Daly is an option but in games like these Russo has a bit more ability to hold it up
  6. So we’ve regressed but you predict us 2 places higher than last year based in your latest prediction? interesting contradiction
  7. I think if his stats are as they are, the need to play as a winger, pass players with a bit of skill and put a great ball into the box is a harder technical role than covering ground and playing a simple ball to feet to a player with the technical skill. He can cover ground for sure, he is rapid.
  8. Erm….. remember our conversation? I can only assume that when you said transfers pending that Fassnacht was the marquee signing you needed to jump your prediction up 5 whole places.
  9. I’m willing to see how this plays out. Having pace in our defence is an incredibly useful attribute and his attacking prowess is not hugely evident, so it’s conceivable that if coached well that he could become useful to us. It may be the change he needs as I’ve often thought players pigeon holed at the start of their career may go by the wayside but for a bit of sideways thinking.
  10. This is actually what we have been missing for years, even in peak Farke we let in howlers. At championship level it didn’t matter with Emi and Pukki and Skipp able to reduce done if the instances but at prem level it just got found out so easily. If, and I do emphasise if, it is the case that we are robust and able to reduce the leakages a little then we have a chance. I think trying a new system in the EPL didn’t really work with the personnel so drilled in a very defined role under DF they they couldn’t really adapt, ultimately the proof Will he in the pudding but I do agree that creativity and goals might be a slight issue. I am however optimistic that at this level at least that is an issue for lots of sides. Goalscorers at this level are a rare and valuable commodity and many teams get by without a dominant one. Always be one or two teams that rely heavily on one player for their goals and I suspect we will have 10-14 from Josh and a smattering of 5-6 goals from 4-5 other players. Thats the hope, not the expectation at this stage. I do think if we have a few steely wins and battling performances it will be easy to back the side. The haters will always hate, but a stadium needs a bit of mettle to get behind
  11. First: 23rd August 1994 vs Crystal Palace. Drew 0-0. Rubbish game and because I was the only one in the house that liked football but had no clue about FCR seating I managed to get my seat in the away supporters. First away game: just recalled Arsenal away in the cup, James Husband had Walcott in his back pocket (no, really) and we only lost out because of late goals from Eddie Nketiah Best ever: really tough to call as the play off final was great, but tainted by the awful coach journey. I’m going to say the Man City win, the atmosphere was just incredible, closely followed by Wednesday at home 2-2 after that Vrancic winner and that promotion feeling
  12. Not naming them though are you? My binner comment was in jest. It’s just pointing out that having a binary ‘you’re a club stooge’ or ‘you’re a binner’ stance is laughably stupid. I have as much ‘evidence’ to call you a binner as you do for all your club stooge accusations. Neither is the case, you’re just a bit angry at the world
  13. Name them then. But while I’m at it, you’re so anti NCFC decisions that I imagine you’re a binner stooge.
  14. You’ve still not actually evidenced it though have you? I’m not a Webber fan. But I respect that some posters will view some of his decisions as good. I am yet to see one single poster ‘worship’ him. You just like trying to be all dramatic, which is odd to me but each to their own. I bet SW loves living rent free in your head
  15. You’re really using the term loyalists for a football club and an average player being sold. Demonstrates that sensationalism nicely
  16. So are you going to give the evidence then? It just say there’s loads and not give it? Mumba might turn out great, he might not. He will never be worth so much we will kick ourselves and certainly isn’t at this moment. Players are worth what someone will pay for them. If he becomes a world beater I’ll say ‘well I didn’t expect that’ and move on without having to mourn our loss. I’m not blindly backing the clubs hierarchy, I’m pretty much just assuming that he isn’t that big of a deal. You can try and make conflict/us vs them all you like, you’re clearly of the weak-minded Twitter debate generation that have to sensationalise everything because they’re told that it’s either black or white and no grey.
  17. Not everything needs to be referred back to yourself. Have a day off.
  18. @Parma Ham's gone mouldyhas pointed out previously that key players provide the impetus and Ince rice for other players to step up and come into the fold. Could this signing be what brings Rashica into the side and up for the fight? Perhaps I’m just desperate to see it happen that I’m clutching
  19. Will you specify your criteria for decent signings?
  20. But if he was that good surely the club record fee of Plymouth bring about £1 million could be bettered by any number of clubs, even those in league 1 with a bit of backing. We clearly didn’t put up a fight. Another one where the proof will be in the pudding I guess
  21. Your reasoning is sound. It’s basically incredibly obvious to everyone but it’s sound. Your predictions have also been WLDLY out historically too though haven’t they? What happened there? Tea leaves key you down? Tbf to you you’ve gone for 13-17th so that’s your prediction and a reasonably defined one. Let’s see at the end of the season whether you’re right. Should I pop it in a new thread and just bump it weekly? Ooooh we could do a running sweepstake
