  1. Even that is a unbalanced position to take. Friendlies at this stage are more about minutes in the legs, we always see strange combinations in the first few, once we get to the last couple it will maybe give indications if who is going to play where. By all means come back after 5 games of the season and complain if he has consistently played him in what you consider a poor position, but it is entirely meaningless to do so now.
  2. What a stupid comment. You hate Wagner for playing Mumba - once - in a meaningless first friendly of the season at full back. You hate him? Hate? Give me strength.
  3. Whilst this is definitely true, it doesn't mean Cantwell isn't also a pr*ck who appears to want the attention. I don't care what you look or dress like, and to be honest, I don't even care if you're a pr*ck, if you can do it on the pitch. However, I've never been sold by his ability; you have to be technically amazing to be as physically poor as he is, and his technique isn't that good.
  4. Are these fans living in Norfolk or outside? I live up North and my work colleagues couldn't understand it with Smith or Hughton either. If in Norfolk, they obviously are more exposed to the feelings of the locals, than in a different part of the country.
  5. A lot of our fans seemed pretty happy when Farke was sacked too, for what that was worth...
  6. I don't rate him, but we are clearly weak in attacking areas, so if not him, at least promising we are looking at this area to improve.
  7. I'm completely torn on this. I love Farke, backed him at all points and think that it was madness to sack him (and did at the time too) as he had a chance of becoming a legend. Whilst I wish he was still here and was never sacked, that's different than trying to go back to something after a break. I have a fear of it tarnishing my memory of him if he were to come back and it not be as amazing second time round (Mike Walker).
  8. "He's coming for you, he's coming for you, Harry Potter..."
  9. He did start at CM but he was pushed into defence on the basis that he was nowhere near good enough on the ball to play for Farke in midfield. I like him and think he could still be decent in defence but his positioning / reading of the game isn't there for the Premier League in defence, definitely would be good in the Championship though.
  10. Exactly what I was going to say. Or Leicester, or Everton, or Barcelona, or Spurs...
  11. Best for me is Sutton - Ashton - Bellamy - Holt - Pukki - Fleck. In that order, with Sutton being considerably better than the rest in my opinion. I cannot comment on players any further back than that, as my memory only goes as far back as about 1990, when I started to be interested in football. It should be noted that "Best" and "Favourite" are different questions. For me, Sutton is the best, but favourite striker is Grant Holt, without any hesitation.
  12. If that really was the case, they had a good shout to give at least one penalty to Everton when it was still 0-0 and they were in the relegation zone.
  13. That's a shame. I'll console myself that the charlatan is relegated again.
  14. What a choice, two of Leeds, Everton and Dean Smith to be relegated. I go for Leeds and Everton please, just.
  15. I feel wrong to add to this old thread, but "I want Bruce in", it possibly the worst suggestion ever. He's possibly the only manager I'd like less than Frank Lampard.
  16. Me too. We are definitely in the minority on that though. I'm not sure we can take anything from today's performance though, against a rubbish team for a game that doesn't mean anything.
  17. Onel is a likeable guy, he definitely has positives but also limitations. If he starts every game, I think we have problems but as a squad player, absolutely worth a place. Ironically, I think Onel and Dowell are the inverse of each other - if you combined Onels physical attributes, work-rate and attitude with Dowells technical ability and vision, you'd have a hell of a player.
  18. My long standing opinion that he's just a bit of a b*llend has not changed.
  19. 1) It's got to be the Grant Holt p*ssing himself laughing after scoring again against Ipswich. 2) Bryan Gunn 3) Justin Fashanu 4) Martin Peters 5) Kevin Keelan 6) Darren Huckerby Peters and Keelan are before my time, but I think objectively, they probably should be there. From my personal experience, I'd swap them with Mark Bowen (as one of my favourite players ever) and Jeremy Goss (in volley pose).
