  1. Hey, when was the last time we took away point from world's richest club? 😉
  2. I agree that we should have won the game, but on the other hand I feel very harsh to blame any individual. I dont think anyone really performed badly individually. We just lacked a player who can break the tight deep defensive lines or change the tempo when needed. Maybe we have that in Normann, Rashica or Cantwell. Clearly our players suit more for counter pressing and we will get chance to play that way soon enough.
  3. I think there are some people that think Pukki should have retired even before he joined the team and no performances or statistics of his speed or accuracy can change that.. 😉
  4. Dont actually think either of them are bad or performed bad today. They just are not guys to create lots chances and we missed that kind of guy today. In Wolves match they both seemed like really solid EPL players.
  5. True! And could count getting that red card as other. But that was really amazing world class finish!
  6. I have been critical for him for most of the season, but I think that lots of it is due to having play so deep. He did look excellent when he had Normann to support him. I actually expect him to become really important in playmaking when we have Normann back
  7. I was just another day thinking two years back when Aarons really constantly gave trouble to defenses with his runs and dribbles. Something in Williams reminds me of that. Maybe he has grown experience and is now more solid defensively, but I think he has also lost lots of his magic due to that
  8. Agreed. With more passive pressing, Sargent brought less to game than Idah. Of course they are very different players, so Idah suited better against their deep lying defense
  9. Have to give huge credit for Pukki. Really didnt get service but managed to cause red card and the goal was absolutely stunning!
  10. He suffers for not having Normann there and therefore having play much more in deep. Playing there with much less confidence and just trying to keep it simple
  11. I think Dowell for Tzolis could be good call. Really need bit of flair to create those chances.
  12. I think that their red card messed up our gameplan a bit. With too much time with ball we reverted to the worst moments of Farkeball, trying to just keep possession with slow tempo. I am sure we will see more aggressive City next half, even though their counters have seemed pretty threatening so need balance. Would expect more dribbling and runs into box as well. Interesting tactical thing has been that Tzolis roams most of the time to central positions leaving Williams alone to the wing. Interesting to see if we see any change there and start trying to outnumber their wingbacks
  13. Missing Normann and Rashica is scary. So big chunk of creating any chances happen through them and they have been really good defensively. Also missing Normann means that Gilmour likely needs to play more defensively, limiting our chances even more. Might be match with not many chances created. Lets hope Pukki finds a magical moment
  14. Not sure about MOTM, but he was really good today!
  15. Good game. Valuable point, even though deserved 3 for that performance. Its amazing how many players who while ago seemed not to be EPL quality are bossing the field. For example McLean, Rupp, Gilmour taking nearly all balls that ended up there. So much intensity, aggression and bravery. And Gilmour, I did not know that he can track back, but he sure does!
  16. Pukki is all smile on half time! Does that indicate that we see a goal soon.. but really have not seem him looking so relaxed earlier this season
  17. Yes, remember the same. Something that was painful but did not stop playing. I doubt they would've let him stay on pitch after first occasion if it would have been illness.
  18. Really enjoying this high press style! Pukki and Rashica are putting them into such a trouble with the press that I bet that some of the brown on Wolves defenders shorts is not from that wet turf.. as someone mentioned, Pukki looks like a new player with extra dose of intent and energy now that he just does not need to chase the ball alone
  19. I think he is a good player who can do well in EPL. I think some people don't rate him unless he will become top player in this level which he might never do. Not overly happy with all the hassle he has been part of though, but I think he is still valuable first team player. Yesterday was not his best performance, but he had the fearless mentality to do things with the ball that makes him a good player. However, he was clearly lacking match fitness and could not keep up with tempo of the game (especially with ball) and those combined will lead to silly looking mistakes. When he gets his fitness back, I'm sure we will see him performing. Either as starter or impact sub.
  20. I think Hanley had awful 60 minutes today. Maybe worst defender performance I've seen for long time. The last 30 minutes he was really good, when we had our pressing working up and he could focus on intercepting their long balls. I think that quite often he is liability if we have to defend deep due to his lack of mobility, even though his bravery allows him to win good blocks. In such situations, I don't consider him anywhere near PL quality player. However, when we defend higher up, he is good with his well timed interceptions and has good maximum pace and well capable to succeed in that role in PL.
  21. Hanley has been dire. Gilmour ok offensively, but seems to lack defensive awareness even though workrate is better than before often making wrong choices when to close down oppinent. Cantwell looking good offensively and full of energy, but also taking crazy risks on defensive half. Normann have been really invisible and without ball, I think could be key for getting better possession. Rashica and Gibson been really good. Would maybe want to see Gilmour replaced early by PLM or Rupp to get us defensively functional. Hard to see Hanley getting subbed, even though he seems like our weakest link. Interesting to see what Smith can adjust on half time. Expecting better 2nd half for sure.
  22. Kabak and Dowell not even on bench. McLean seems to be appreciated by new management as well. That eleven really should provide offensive strength and players willing to show they deserve the spot! I would not bet 0-0
