Rays Funds For FONCY - Good News
Gentleman Jim replied to nutty nigel's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Well PUPs I have tried to be as fair as I can when sorting out the 40 pickers who will make the final selections. It was difficult because there are more regulars than there are weeks available to pick. So I''m really sorry to those who missed out but I will put together a reserve list to include the new PUPs ready for any spaces that may become available during the season. So please put in your naps every week to help those who are making the final selections. These are the 40 who will make up the rota : - 1st Wazzock, Astrodyne, Beaker, Beauseant, Berkshire Canary, Blahblahblah, BringBackIwan, Canary Ryan, Cityangel, Cosmic Twin, Delia''s Devon..., Evil Monkey, Fellas, Fonejacker, Gentleman Jim, GMF, Graham Humphrey, Hissing Sid, Hughesy, Inch High, Kathy, Leedscanary, Lucky green trainers, Macdougall''s perm, Methcanary, Mister Chops, Mr. Bump, Muddy funster, NCFC Shaun, Newyorkcanary, Norfolkbroadslim, Norfolkchance1, Obiwancanary, Pboro_Canary, Shack Attack, Sparkos, Sports Desk -Pete, The Butler, Trent Canary, Yankee Canary. The rota for August is :- August 8th Muddy funster August 15th Cityangel August 22nd Meth Canary August 29th GMF
I am happy to stand down to give someone else a chance Nutty, after all I have had more goes than anyone else and it would be nice to continue the popularity we have gained by letting newcomers have the thrill in being a PUP weekly picker.[:D] -

Don''t do it, Arrange for a guided tour of your local refuse centre instead, much more exhilarating and a helluva lot cheaper ! [;)] -
He will be O.K. if he doesn''t renew his previous association with fellow countryman ( P.M.) and keeps clear of a certain hostelry in St.Andrews ! [+o(]

A decent squad coming together
Gentleman Jim replied to Canary Ascent's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
It''s in the title really. I think Gunn has brought in some good players so far. Admittedly we still need a striker or two and a right winger but I am happy that we have a squad we can call ours and not made up of other teams players. It seems we have players that can do well in this league too and most importantly want to do well and do well for NCFC!
. . . . .and they are all ours, not somebodyelse''s unwanted but our very own and if they fail it won''t be because they don''t care ! -
Put your questions to Stephan Phillips
Gentleman Jim replied to Pete Raven's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Mr. Phillips, With respect , do you think that possibly your situation is the same as with Rupert Murdoch and the populous British newspapers ,owned by him , that invariably reflect only his own personal political agendas ? -

High-scoring Norwich matches
Gentleman Jim replied to Raymond De Waard's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Didn''t we crush someone like Gorleston last summer 12-0?
Do you have to bring that one up Houston ? [:$] Anyway I recall a match that may be the most goals scored in the first half by City (well since I have ever watched them that is) About 1962 Tony Waddington brought his runaway league leaders Stoke City to Carrow Road. The Stoke side was full of aging but still very able and talented stars in the form of Stan Matthews, Wilf Mannion, Jimmy Mcillroy, Dennis Violet etc etc. At half time we were winning by an amazing 6-0 ! [:O] Probably the best performance I have ever seen from a Norwich City side. Unfortunately we failed to add any more in the second half and that was the final score [:(]. -
Is Gunn really in charge?

Double signing from Bristol Rovers
Gentleman Jim replied to Raymond De Waard's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
"Uncle Crabman" ! ! ! [:O] Sounds like a wonderful codename for a whistleblower anywhere let alone Carrow Road, if these "facts" turn out to be true he will be a reliable source of info in the future ! ! ![:D] -

Peter Grant to follow Mowbray to Celtic
Gentleman Jim replied to colneycanary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Agreed there wilw6, Admittedly we weren''t aware of Grant''s shortcomings until very shortly after he arrived here as an unknown quality, our biggest mistake was to compound the error by taking on his successor who was a proven failure who went on to show it, much regrettably to our cost. -

Interesting comments re his tenure as Norwich Manager here -> http://www.celticfc.net/news/stories/news_160609132907.aspx "but people say that I left the club in a better situation" Hmmmmm ? -
Goalkeeper Colin Doyle loan deal?
Gentleman Jim replied to colneycanary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Wouldn''t be a bad signing, IMO. Would prefer to see a keeper here permenantly though.
I must admit that at first glance of "loan" in the title I was reluctant see such a deal as being what we need , but in light of the comments of "P''boro" and several others here I can see it having some potential. He is 6''5" tall and would hopefully have no problem with high crosses that have caused us so much problem during Marshal''s reign so that''s another plus point maybe ? But please Gunny, try to keep loanees down to an absolute minimum, PLEASE ! -

I know who your source is ! It''s Delia herself . . . . [:O] “We are very excited about working with David and new board directors who we will be announcing in the near future to start a new era for this great club.” Unfortunately she told the rest of the world before she told you it seems ! [:D] -
