1. Damned Celtic AGAIN ! , They did us/me twice last year, bogey team for us PUPs !   [:@]
2. . . . . . even a garden fork has more points than them [:D] [:D] [;)] ! ! ! ! !
3. Liverpool scoring well at home [:D], Burnley scoreless and pointless away [:''(] Gerrard unscathed after England match and not visiting Southport this evening [;)] [D] [B] [8] [;)] ! ! ! Which all indicates a big margin win for LIVERPOOL v Burnley = HOME WIN ! Good luck on your debut Astro [Y]
4.
Or will it be sophisticated Paul Temple and his plucky wife Steve? Of course, in those innocent radio days one never wondered about a chap having a wife called Steve. Now, however...

. . . and of course "Norman and Henry Bones, the boy detectives". . . .Henry was really a woman [;)]
5. Everything crossed Shaun,( even though it makes my eyes water), on the ball PUPs !
6. Twenty three predictions, twenty one say City will win ! Oh dear we all know what happens when City supporters are confident dont we ? Is lone voice John the realist or pessimist ? ? ?
7. When they going to do Grandads-For-A-Quid then ? ? ? ? ?
8. Don''t like either of them really, I think they are both impact managers, not much good for clubs'' long term success  Lambert reminds me so much of Peter Grant [:@] that I find it difficult to be confident in him, but he''s the one we have got so just have to hope . . . . .
9. Ah well the Germans let me down last week so I will be really patriotic this week and go for . . . ENGLAND v Slovenia  = HOME WIN Good luck Saun, I''m sure you will do it !
10.
I''m with Jim here, I don''t think having two people picking the line will work. I don''t mind stepping down either, I''ve done it many times already (and won) so I''m more than happy to sit it out. I do like you''re idea Jim but what if you get the same 4/5 pickers every month? Then how do we go about it? The system we''ve got at the moment works the best at the moment.
I think the competition would be too fierce for that to happen Fellas, we all have our winning and losing runs at times, but as I say we could have some sort of filtering mechanism, I''m sure with all the intellect we have in this Forum that someone could think of a way. [;)] I too think the present system is best,  but of course it doesn''t solve Nutty''s desire to give the newcomers a quicker chance [^o)]
11.   Well done [B], I didn''t realise there was anyone older than me on this Forum [:D]
12.
So obviously however hard I try and even with the fact that some don''t want to do it, I can''t get you all a turn. Now at the presentation last week Pete suggested to me that maybe two pickers could share the final selections. He said how about maybe two PUPs picking three each. I think I was a bit hasty in dismissing the idea. I initially didn''t like it for two reasons. Firstly because I''m a believer of "if something works well don''t meddle with it". And secondly, and I know you will all understand this, I am loath to change anything from the way Ray did it.
I think you were right to dismiss the idea Eddie for the very reasons you stated and having two pickers would bring it''s own logistic problems, I also agree newcomers should have an earlier opportunity to have a go at picking the weekly bet. May I therefore offer two alternatives that would fit the criteria :- (1) Any of our existing pickers that have had two or more goes should stand down until the newcomers have had at least one attempt.                                                                           OR (2) Use the the 4/5 pickers of the month (POM) winners to pick the following 4/5 weeks, this would have two virtues it seems in that the POMs would be "in form" and perhaps improve our success rate, also everybody would have an equal chance whether  newcomer of only four weeks or a longer term member. I know there are sometimes more than 4/5 POMs but some sort of  tie breaker could be agreed perhaps. But as always whatever you decide Nutty I will go along with quite happily because I know you will do it for the good .[:D]
13. I''d just be happy with Cody McDonald hair . . . .[:''(]
14. Hmmm, don''t forget Gunny started off the same way and with the same effect and then went on to an overwhelming 4-0 victory which then turned out to be a winning run of ONE ! Lambert is only matching him at the moment with one 5-2 win and we must hope the opening euphoria doesn''t wear off  !
15.
I always felt with Barry that you got his best every game, and his best was usually good enough.
Dead right YC,  349 appearances and every one was the best.
16. After being lucky in England so far I shall now venture abroad for the first time this season. There is a little bit of form now in the German Bundesliga and one team who has shown reasonable form so far is Schalke 04. I don''t know why they are called "04" but they may well score that many against a so far unreasonable  SC Freiburg . So there you go Schalke 04 v SC Freiburg, @ 2:30 = HOME WIN Starting at 2:30 it could be the first winning bet of the day [:D] or then again could be the first . . . .[:''(] [:$] Very Good Luck GMF
17.
LOL. I''d play Theo and i think Lambert will want to take a look at him anyway.
I think he may just possibly have noticed him in our game against Colchester [:D]
18. LOST 1-7. . .WON 4-0. . . LOST 1-2 . . . . WON 5 - 2. . . . .LOST ? - ? . . . . .and next . . . Look out Jeff Stelling, we are coming to rip your lads apart !
19.
On my old pc I was always logged into the site but on this new one I have to log in everytime I visit the site even though I ticked the remember me box. Any ideas anyone how I can correct this? Don''t have any problems on any of the other sites I use.   Thanks CA
I had same problem when I switched to Vista, I would welcome a solution too !
20. To Nutty & Inchy, I appreciate your comments to Brendan and Banana and the diplomatic way you put them over as opposed to my less subtle approach. You both obviously know them personally and therefore are  able to deal with them better than myself to whom they are just names. I seem to have been acting the "policeman" for the PUPs in the last year or so , which is a role that Ray privately encouraged me to pursue, to which end I have jumped in rather hastily when it would have been better for me to sit back and allow PUPs ,such as yourselves, with a better knowledge of the individuals, to apply a more suitable approach.  Lesson learned.[:$]
21.
It''s not reported on anything apart from the Mirror at the moment and some West Ham fans thing it''s bullshit
Here is an extract from the article :- Dean Ashton is set to announce his shock retirement from football. The 26 year-old West Ham and England striker is suffering from a degenerative ankle problem. He travelled to Amsterdam three weeks ago for an assessment from leading Dutch surgeon Niek van Dijk and was warned he could end up wheelchair-bound if he carried on playing. A Hammers spokesman said last night: “We can confirm Dean Ashton is unavailable for selection but we cannot comment any further." Ashton, who has endured ankle problems since sustaining a fracture during an England training session in August 2006, has not been able to train or play since breaking down in manager Gianfranco Zola''s first training session on September 15 last year. Dutch surgeon Van Dijk originally operated on Ashton’s ankle after the England training ground accident with Shaun Wright-Phillips three years ago.
22. . . . he has been advised his ankle injury will not heal.[:(] Tough luck for him at the age of 26, also we can wave good bye to any sell on cash I suppose.
23.
my dad and me had a 6 match prediction and won[:D] arsenal man utd leicester celtic sheff weds newcastle!!
Your point being . . . . . . . . .what ?
