1.
The prices are far too high. With the match on Sky I''d have thought £10 max would have been better. True Sunderland are a Premier side but I doubt they''ll attract a big crowd for this sort of match. Perhaps City are taking a calculated gamble here as they''ve got the TV money to top up a low attendance but I''d have thought they''d rather have had a decent sized crowd for atmosphere and increased chance of an upset.
Arn''t the tickets only a quid for you?
 2. I think video quality is a function how fast a connection you have........... I play them with no problems in wide screen here in the US. If you have a dial up or a slower broadband connection then obviously its too much. I have listen to the first two matches via the player and it was 100% fine with excellent quality.
 3.
Hello again Yes, I am a shareholder. Yes, I had a copy of the accounts. I can read a balance sheet but I also showed them to my son, an accountant at Deloitte. He said that in any other business, he''d be worried about the viability of the company, but that it was fairly typical for a football club -- i.e. it was relying on the generosity of the owners to remain solvent. I was a bit sloppy in quoting Delia about the gate receipts. What she said was that gate receipts alone are not sufficient to run the club. The running costs include everybody''s wages of course, plus grounds and buildings maintenance, fuel bills, travel and hotel bills for the team, insurance, and so on and so on. But the biggest outgoing at any club is the cost of the players -- which includes transfer fees, signing on fees, wages, bonuses, agents fees, benefits in kind and so on. So I simplified my point, for the sake of brevity, and said our income from attendances do not cover the players. I should have said that income from attendances do not cover the outgoings. They don''t. Nor do they at any club whose accounts I have studied -- and I look at several every year. In addition to my job as a football writer and broadcaster I chair a funding panel for the Football Foundation. The Foundation, a charity, goes through football clubs'' accounts very, very closely and often demands spot checks on the books, because it gives clubs hundreds of thousands of pounds towards the cost of community schemes. The books of one or two clubs give the Foundation cause for concern. Norwich City''s accounts are always held up as a model of transparency and probity. Also, the Football League do their own scrutiny of accounts. And of course, the NCFC accounts are independently auditted. There is no mystery. There is no missing money. Year after year our club sets a "player budget" and tell the manager he can spend that total on transfer fees, loan fees, wages, agent fees and so on. And year after year, that total includes money Michael and Delia have effectively given the club. The facts about our club this season are that Michael Foulger''s donation and the money from those season ticket holders who did not take their rebate combined to pay for Grant Holt -- his fee and his wages. But, from what David McNally said at the meeting, it sounded to me as if Delia and Michael had also put some more money in this summer. Now, I know many posters want D & M out. I understand that opinion, even if I don''t share it, but let''s not start calling them crooks or liars. That is very unfair and completely untrue. They don''t take anything out of the club. They don''t pay themselves a wage, like Sheephanks used to at Ipswich. They give their time, money and effort for free. As an tiny example, Michael settled our table''s Gunn Club bill on Saturday. I know, because I had already paid for a round of drinks when D & M got there, and later there was a discussion about them when Michael was paying for the meal and drinks. You will say; "And so he should pay!" But my point is, he does, always. Finally, I am sorry that some posters still think I am scum. I am even sorrier that some say things like I "purport" to care about the club. I had hoped that we could at least all agree that we all care, even if we come to different conclusions about the way forward. Given the tone of some of the comments, there seems no point in my continuing to try and have a rational discussion here, so I''ll stop now. OTBC.
The big mistake you made was having actual "facts" along with reasonable opinions.............. Some of the morons on here actually think its a good idea that we drive the club into liquidation so we can get rid of virtually the only people willing to put money into the club........
 4.
He seems to have just made it worse: http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter.com/full_article.asp?i=4818
Really? I agreed with virtually everything he said in that article................ Although I chuckled when he said since he has been watching we have had only 4 great keepers...............(I agree BTW) I agree all 4 were great keepers (Keelen is my fav player of all time) but prior to Marshall those 4 have played the vast majority of games except for a few Hansbury/Baker appearences I just checked and those 4 keepers had 1658 appearences between them.......... thats a huge chunk of ALL appearences over that time period.
 5.

Well... it was better than his effort against us for Blackpool a couple of years ago! [Y]
Regardless, he is your designated penalty taker if in the team.[:|]
Interesting, the interaction in the following video just after we win the penalty. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQjBqPDwbF4 I am assuming the little chat and arm around Hoolahan after he grabs the ball is to give him info on the Yeovil goalkeeper.
 6. Chris Brown bagged a hatrick on that video.............. oh wait.............. wrong sport
 7. It should be obvious that Mick Dennis is nothing but honest............. He has opinions.......... people can agree or disagree.................. Having read a number of his articles and watched him live virtually every week on Sky Sports News (SSN is live here in the US at 1am US/7am UK time on Fox Soccer Channel) There is no doubt in my mind that when he writes or says something that is his honest opinion. The point he makes about Delia investing a substantial percentage of her personal wealth is a good one........... People forget she isn''t among the super rich. The way that some idiots portray her as Darth Vader running some evil empire, bilking billions from the club is just laughable. There is an ironic twist to our many failures..........the fact that in either complete failure or magnificent triumph it produces interest from the fans in a club, be it open top bus parades or organized protests........ People ask.......... How do we get 25,000 through the doors.......... maybe, just maybe, the journey and hope of one day trning it around is part of the interest............ The alternative is Crystal Palace who after literally numerous years of boring mid-table mediocrity managed to attract 3,100 fans to Selhurst park on Tuesday. Sounds like their fans just don''t care anymore.
 8.
In fairness, the way he took the penalty should make him first choice. Could also build up his confidence in front of goal.
I agree, Adams noted "two keepers wouldn''t have saved it" Its his job to lose. We sounded naturally edgy in the 1st half which is to be expected after Saturday. That penalty was a big moment in our season IMHO. I don''t even want to think of the reaction if we missed it. After that you could hear that we started to relax, the crowd got behind the players with OTBC and we won pretty easily.
 9.
Apologies to all for my stupidity. Henry
You should ring Canary Call................ you would fit right in.
 10. I naturally thought with Clingan gone that Holt was the designated penalty taker. Mainly because he was last year. Maybe some of esteemed journos should ask Gunn what the sitaution is? Or is it just the first person to scoop up the ball?
 11. Good grief............ when do we care what is being spouted on canary call............ The vast majority of calls are moronic.............bad to good calls is at least 20 to 1  The only constant is that peoples opinions change like the wind based on short term results. Based on the pre-season we are going to win the League by Easter........... Based on Saturday we are going to get relegated by Christmas.......... Based on tonight we are going to win the League by Easter...........
 12.
I think we should go for                            Alnwick Spillane       Askou            Doherty         Drury Mcveigh     Hughes           Tudur Jones   Hoolahan                   Macdonald     Holt
What about Hughes on the right and Tom in the middle......... I have a feeling that OTJ might have to be on the subs bench. Baring injuries I think Gunn will stick with the same team that played well in the 2nd half. (ie Hughes for the injured Gill)
 13.
Pete''s given them both a 5 for tonight. This is my only concern with the whole first 11 now. Doc poor again and Askou who i thought would be better, wasn''t. Altho that is harsh given it was his first game and coming in after a 7-1 slaughtering. Are there any answers (I would bang on about Stefanovic again, but i know it''s unrealistic), any options? Any thoughts??
Adams thought they were both solid tonight, Goreham didnt think they were bad either........... Its all about opinions.
 14.
Pete also said Doherty looked awful most of the day. Lucky for him there was not much threat from Yeovil.  Both CB looked bad and both need to be replaced by players with confidence, desire and skill. Main difference today in back was goalie was not a numpty.
Yes but to be fair the keeper didnt have much to do.......... which means we are defending better as a team..........
 15.
After having many arguments the last few months about Doc and people saying we will never have another clean sheet with him in the team esp earlier today its nice to see that he had a steady game tonight. Is this the correct partnership though as Adams said askou looked really solid with hardly many mistakes whilst pete said askou looked awful
I asked Pete about this in messages but he never answered............. he even gave one great clearence to the Doc when commentary said it was Askou.............. I don''t think Pete likes Askou............
 16. Personally I think nothing will happen to both guys............ The club would rather the whole game/incident was forgotten about. If they punished them you would basically be turning them into martyrs.
 17.
I would like to see Askou, Spillane, Adeyemi and McDonald all come into the starting line-up.
I agree 100% If I was those 4 players I would be very upset not to make the starting 11 on tuesday. From all reports Spillane and Adeyemi have been nothing but class in the pre-season Cody does nothing but score goals........... Askou should play because his name isn''t Nelson or Doherty!
 18.
We are getting what we deserve, you buy with peanuts u get monkeys! This club is run so bad,im shocked. How is delia still in post? Why after all the managers she puts herself in this position, employing a mate dosent work. Please wake up!
I guess a week is a long time in football! http://www.pinkun.com/cs/forums/1789386/ShowPost.aspx
 19.

Just to recap, I''ve no confidence in Gunn from what I''ve seen but for as long as he''s here I''ll hope he can turn things around. To me this seems sensible, to others it seems ridiculous. [:P]
It makes sense, we all want our team to do well. But while you may *hope* for him to turn it round, on the basis of what you''ve seen so far, do you honestly believe he and his sidekicks have what it takes?
From what I''ve seen so far I''m rather sceptical to say the least, but I wouldn''t say I''m totally convinced that he will fail, and thus I feel rather resevered in calling for his head. I remember feeling the same way that season we reached the playoff final. We were battered 4-0 on the opening day by Millwall (?). Confidence was low, fans were pessimistic, some were even calling for Worthington''s head. We looked anything but a team who were destined to do rather well in the end. It''s things like this that make football the difficult to predict game that it is, and on that basis I guess I''m just a little more cautious when it comes to questions of whether we have the right man in charge or not. [*-)]
Lets not forget in our promotion season we drew with Bradford and lost to Northampton in our first two games. Sunderland walked the Champs after a horrific start to the season a few years I am hoping an early wake up call gives us plenty of time to put things right. Saying that I think we pretty much know after 10-15 games what is going to happen for the season.
 20. I don''t get why people want us to lose......... My opinion is that Gunn should be given 10 games but.............. If we lose the next 2 games (especially if we suffer another bad defeat)  I think the board will act quickly. Maybe trying to get Steve Coppell out of retirement wouldnt be a bad thing?
 21.

The way some are talking he was at fault for everything we did...........  I watched the highlights on canariesworld numerous times and this is my opinion............ (1) He was somewhat at fault for the first goal but the horrific backpass put him in real trouble where he was left in no mans land knowing he couldn''t catch the ball. Its a rare sitaution for keepers because most defenders have a brain bigger than a pea and don''t try and lob the ball back to a keeper who can''t catch it. Semi may have the physical attributes for the Prem but he doesnt have the footballing brain for local Sunday morning football. Punch the ball instead of flapping at it ? (2) The commentary suggested he could have done better on lisbies shot......... Having watched it again it wasn''t a bad save, maybe he could have held it but the fact is our defence were turned inside out and no where when platt followed up. Not sure how this was that terrible. He might have done a bit better but the shot was not exactly straight at him. The shot wasn''t exactly a net-buster, could & should have held on to it (3) This goal was more horrific defending......... keeper had no chance from point blank range. Should have commanded his area instead of jumping around on the goal line like a demented kangaroo (4) This was a fantastic free kick. Bad defending gave it away. Keeper had no chance. Positioning of wall was a bit suspect & so was his positioning for the kick. (5) Again terrible defending from the the throw. The header was point blank range, not sure what he could do. Watch this goal carefully and watch how Platt leaves Semi who just watches the whole thing like he doesn''t care. Unreal. Again. needs to command his area, & when the ball is in the area, a goalie is allowed to use his hands. perhaps he could have tried that instead of jumping up with his arms by his side (6) A Goss type volley that gave the keeper no chance, not sure how anyone could blame him for this? The only way he could maybe have stopped this was to grow a few inches. Still stoppable though. (7) More horrific defending/missed tackles forced him to come into no mans land, not sure how its his fault so many people in front of him were so unbelieveably bad. Don''t panic Mr Mainwaring ! I think his goose was cooked at this point & he had realised it was a bad day at the office.   Again after watching all the goals carefully I don''t get why Theoklitos is getting so much stick.............. Did he have a good game......... of course not.........but I don''t think he deserves a lot of the blame which was clearly down to horrific defending.
The whole team were worse than awful, but unfortunately I think a lot of criticism lies with the goalie. As soon as he started flapping & making mistakes the nervousness spread throughout the team. Worse keeper I''ve ever seen in a City shirt.
Simple question..........What would the score have been with a better keeper/performance? 4-1, 5-1 6-1 instead? That''s my point........The keeper had a bad day but a lot of the problems that led to the goals were not his fault...... Untill we address those problems first, the worlds best goalie is still going to ship a ton of goals every game. FWIW I am not saying Theoklitis is a good keeper. (he played badly on Saturday but did well by all acounts in the two pre-season games).......... I just think he is getting far more of the blame than he should be getting. Bad keeping is a minor problem as we can always bring in Rudd or Ben Alnwick but bad defending (as a team) is far more worrying and much harder to put right.

 23.
Apoligies if this has been covered before. Am I right in saying you can''t listen to matches online? Was just sitting in the garden with the laptop listening to the build-up, and suddenly the feed goes dead! Had to swiftly find a radio! Just seems a bit daft to me! OTBC!
How long have you been a Norwich fan? This isn''t a new thing!
 24. try reloading the page and selecting the Norwich button.
 25.
I cannot get any Canariesworld coverage...anyone else have this problem? You pay your money...not a good start!!!!
I am listening right now? No problems here 6000 miles from carrow road!
