Rowe rejects Lazio

The club’s raison d’etre is to develop young players and sell them on for big(ish) money. For a farming county the club see farming players as the key to survival. It does make progressing our league status problematic. We have been a selling club for as long as I can remember and always will be. -

I must confess that I was not overly unhappy at last night’s result. Win and we were into the top six, draw and we were a point of the top six. Lose and Leeds are in smelling distance of the scum’s ar$e$. Come on Daniel, you can do it 😀 -

To make the play offs the usual minimum poits needed is 75. This means we need 37 points from our remaining 19 games or almost 2 points per game average. Given we are averaging 1.4 points per game this would seem a very unlikely outcome. Therefore I hope The Black Cats give the Scum a thorough thrashing this evening. -

Scum 1 - 2 Pride of East Anglia 14 years and counting!! -
It is generally recognised that teams that achieve good results whilst not playing at their best are good teams. The great Liverpool sides of the 70s were recognised for their ability to grind out results when off form. is it possible that DW actually knows more about football and his players than the experts on this forum? Surely not!

Unless their contracts have a clause to allow docking of wages for poor performance the club would face breach of contract law suits. Furthermore the precise aspects of poor performance would need to be precisely defined to stand up in court.

3 points of the play offs with over half the season remaining is hardly a credible basis for sacking a manager.

I defend your right to express this opinion even if it is utter and complete bollox. -
True but much less likely in terms of probability.

It is clear that the owners are totally out of touch with their customers, the fans. They can’t tolerate being challenged in any way and their distaste for the influence of money in the game and hence their sustainability model is totally at odds with the modern game. There is no guarantee that the MA takeover will happen as they will find giving up their control hard to do. They have to go but it may take the Grim Reaper for it to actually happen.

Accepting responsibility

Under the Smith -Wynn Jones regime we hsve had around 15 managers. Of those I’d say only Worthington, Lambert and Farke showed success in the role i.e. the owners have a 20% success rate in appointing managers competent in getting a squad to perform consistently. Should Wagner get the bullet I have no confidence that they will buck the trend in their appointment success ratio. -
This was her ´Ratner’ moment. She deserves the contempt many will have for her remarks.

20% of the squad are whingers.
