  1. It was Best, apparently he heard the two stoppage time goals in the taxi on his hasty exit from, the ground. Unlucky - serves him right for leaving early. Good point Hayden (et al.)
  2. A nice little timely reminder for the binners who have chirpped up recently. Probably worth sending to a few of the ipswich players. Not even a mention of only paying 5p in the pound to their creditors - Im suprised that you could have resisted that one smudge.
  3. Just checked the website from above and realised that Sophie was already on there. Kathy, Nigel Mansell has got a place in Exeter and designed one of the golf courses just outside of the city. He has spent a lot of time in Devon and does genuinely like the area, I went to uni'' there and his goings on were always featured on the local news. ADS
  4. I know of some others kitters, Weather girl Andrea Mclean off GMTV is a norwich fan, as is Jake from CBBC - I remember he wore his gloves and scarf in the week leading up to the Cardiff final. Sophie ellis bextor is a fan also - didnt someone leak the fact she has bougfht some NC underwear from the shop...no seriously. I would like to add that knowing these doesn''t reflect my TV viewing, I cant stand GMTV or CBBC.
  5. Didnt hear / see anything untoward but I was sat in the West stand. After 10 minutes or so a dad and daughter were fished out of the main home stand and relocated by one of the stewards in our block. BTW there was a geat atmosphere in the Wetherspoons pre match, dont know if anyone else was there?
  6. I know that it has been said already but nice idea City 4 - MK DONS 1 Huckerby 23 Roberts 43 Mckenzie 68 Francis 83
  7. Working on the assumption that if you are good enough you can retain the shirt. Peter has done nothing wrong in his handful of starts since returning. In fact , as we all know he has performed very well and scored/set up goals. O''Leary is crazy to threaten him by withdrawing his shirt/place in the squad. Mind you Angel it is reported in the mirror!
  8. The good thing is that now worthy has got a squad that is hard to break down - even on an off day. Barely a few years back we were the light touch away and when we didnt perform boy did we get punished. Many a 4-0 game have I been to away from home and it was not good viewing, we have been well and truly spanked on several occasions but this has not happened so far (touch wood) this season.
  9. As always though Warnock "wouldn''t have seen that from where he was sat" and would not be interested anyway. He definitely is the first divisions equivalent of Arsene Wenger.
  10. Lets not forget that in the last few days they have lost in total Mikele Leigertwood, Jobi McAnuff (now confirmed) Nigel Reo Coker, Patrick Ageymang, Adam Nowland All first teamers. What a state they are in the new and old fans must despair at the board!
  11. It does prove to be an interesting poser doesnt it. Whilst I can agree with the view on not dropping Leon (as his strike rate is fairly impressive since joining) I would be concerned with the front pair on Hucks and Leon. That said it would only be due to the showing in the Bradford game when the back four resorted to the long ball up and we did struggle to cause any danger. Iwan does still look a better player when feeding off huckerby. It would just require the team to adapt their game based on the front pair, something that we havent always done well in the past. I think that the 4-4-2 option is a safer and better bet at home, for two reasons. You are right Zip they are used to playing it at home and it does offer more width to pin teams back, and also we usually have enough of an advantage at home - with the crowd, the record win/draw/loss and the expectation of the fans and team at home. Carrow has been a fortress for a couple of years now and we expect! The future is in our hands we can fend off the chasing pack with victories against Sheff Utd, Sunderland and Ipswich in the coming games - lets home they do so. And if they do it in style even better.
  12. Has anyone else noticed that the middle Canary emblem is incomplete. Did they run out of green seats or what? Looks like yellow ones have been put in. Perhaps it is supposed to look like that? Any clues......
  13. First game ever was as ball boy Home to Luton we won 3-2 back in 1980/81 I think. I was sat right infront of the barclay terrace behind the goal. Remember Dennis Van Wyk at full back. First properly attended game was soon after that
  14. Just (finally) caught the weekends show on video, and had to listen to Wilnes chatting to Tim and Helen. Helen asked who would win Div 1. He replied smuggly and confidently "We will!". Looks like the binners are heading long ball with the goat up front, hopefully this will backfire! I hope we keep the run going and force him to eat those words.
  15. Horatio, Riddled with the air of disapointment if your sister in law and wife cannot remember me, the though of having no impact on anyone over the four years spent there led me to thinking of clues for you. Unmasking myself seemed like an unwise option , especially when the cries of who! still ring out. I played a crucial and pivotal role in two of the pantomimes (performed at the Wassail evening as I''m sure you know) i) In Indiana Jones and the Temple of Isis I was the front end of the camel - (1998) ii) In Sprott of the Antarctic I was the Penguin (at last a solo role for my talent) - (1999) Taught in M2 in the new building. Was quite suprised in the follow-up to the Brackley them, thought that I was the only one when I was there. It seemed such a long way from Carrow.
  16. I think that after one away game (few years back now and cant remember which one) the players locked him in the dressing room for about an hour or so, as he was so scathing of the rest of the team and so full of his own talent.
  17. I did like that mediteranian red from a few years back, or the Colmans white - very classy kit.
  18. City Angel, No I wasn''t involved with the Brackley mens team, went to a few of the games though as a spectator. Nice little ground - better than most. I did coach the under-15 team for the school (Magdalen). The only football I managed to play was on returning to Norwich every so often to ''guest'' in one of my mates Sunday teams. Was in the plough watching England Vs Argentina, not the recent 1-0, but the time they did us - when Owen scored that wonder goal. Was a quality little pub, surely the best in the town. PS. I did think that you had moved to the NCFC official board but its good to know that you are stiil on the Pink. Richard, I started teaching at MCS just after you left so you may not have known me! Younger brothers or sisters might. Oh no my shady past might be coming back to haunt me!
  19. Horatio, Worked at Magdalen College School for four years 1996 to 2000 (Maths Teacher!!), and since moved onwards and upwards in the profession. Many a good night had in the Plough and the Jaypur. I used to live just off the high street by the Plough. Hoping to go to the Wimbledon Game also. ADS
  20. Poor old Malky must get a real grilling most weeks!
  21. I used to live in Brackley for four years and never saw any NC fans in the local vicinity. Must have missed you ''Hook Norton''. Have now moved to Guildford - the place is swarming with city fans.
  22. Almost missed my cue. Totally agree A1, however I would rather turn up to carrow road with high expectations, and be disapointed rather than how things were a few years back. It was a miserable walk from the county hall car park to the ground knowing that you were in for a scrappy relegation fuelled dog fight which we more often than not lost out in. (this obviously only really refers to the recent Div 1 campaign). At least now we know that we could be in for a spectacle and treat every home game, who would have thought that we would have turned over cardiff in that fashion for example. Away from home there seems to be little pressure on the team. We are well know for being a soft touch away, and I believe that teams under estimate us now. Not so long ago 4-0 was a popular away defeat. What horrible times they were....
  23. Let us wait with baited breath for Diane to tell us of any news on Crouchy. Having spent two weeks in the US over xmas I miissed out on the huckerby coverage ( except for the pinkun web site news ). Dianes coverage and news on the message board was top quality and up to the minute, worthy of news 24 or CNN. Many thanks
  24. According to the bbc web site hucks is having talks with us on friday and KK has backed us to sign him
