  1. A season-long loan would be a sensible option, however: - the baord may see it as being more financially viable to buy him outright rather than a loan then buying him, - as you can see, sensibility seems to have stepped out of the room at present, what with the rather odd goings on at CR. I think the next 3-4 days are going to be rather rollercoaster-ish and the stories emanating from CR are going to be very interesting. Whatever happens from here on in, its gonna be frenetic and literally anything could happen. Query, is Huckerby a striker or a forward? Could he play just behind McKenzie and a target man, as a link between the midfield and forward line?
  2. I''m a little bit confused about the deals on the table as well... Perhaps the board have injected some of their own funds into the club and will reveal this after the deal/s have been completed, so as to cover any possibility''s of Man City and Charlton upping their price. Similairly, perhaps the recent share issue has been wholly more successful than has been reported, for the very same reason... All in all though, its exciting times for us City fans, especially since its been a while since we had speculation about possible new players to get excitied about.
  3. If we manage to get Huckerby, do you think he''ll have to undergo a medical?
  4. If we have to choose one or the other, who would you go for? I''d have to say Greeno, despite wanting Huckerby...
  5. I''d quite like to see Huckerby, Crouch AND McKenzie as our forward line. That''d really scare the oppositions defence. This idea is not too far fetched, as I don''t think Huckerby won''t be going anywhere BUT City, due to the reception he has been received. He knows that this is where he''ll be mostly appreciated and I think he''s perhaps prepared himself to wait until the situation is appropriate to join. I also think Crouchy wants to return, and I think he''ll be back before the 31st December on a seasons loan. David O''Leary realises that he''s not what Villa need at the moment. I think the decision to recall him was simply an attempt to spur City into purchasing him, whereby City have called his bluff. Re: the current situation, its not as if we have an awful team who don''t know how to attack or defend. So prehaps the best thing we can do IS to sit tight, and let the scenario play itself out. ps: I think that the Board are doing a fine job. They seem realistic enough to know that when the cupboard only contains crumbs, you don''t sit and eat them in one go. Patience is a virtue that seems lost on the majority of present day supporters.
  6. Regarding Strikers: subject to a medical, Leon Mackenzie will be signing a three and a half year deal with City. no amount has been revealed about the fee involved. Regarding the team: City are giving a trial to Ipsh*t midfielder Danny Bloomfield who is out of contract with Ipsh*t. Bloomfield is an England under19 international. If he''s good and manages to impress, I''m sure we can forget who he used to play for. Just thought I''d offer up the info I have found out...
