  1. Any lager cans thrown? 😄
  2. Higher interest rates are biting all clubs as they all seem to live in permanent debt.
  3. I do agree that tax evasion and offshore tax havens are a far costlier problem ( over half the wealth of the world is believed to be hidden in these domains) but for society to function properly as a whole, then everyone who is able needs to pull their weight. As much as i would like it to be otherwise, in my work environment, i see lots who are quite happy to do the barest of minimum to ensure they survive. The problem is there are far too many leaving education with zero skills to offer to employers and to enable them to better their lives.
  4. You only have to look at Trump and the USA. Tried everything to change democratic rule when he knew the majority wanted someone else in charge.
  5. So there will be very few courier drivers, bar or restaurant staff or coffee houses then. Our local pub/restaurant now closes at 9pm most week nights as they can’t get staff to do the job. Too many Brits have found the idle way of living by screwing the benefits system and so don’t want to work nor do they have the skills to work. I don’t get why people are so anti immigration, it’s usually to hide their dislike of ‘damn foreigners’. Britain is going backwards at an alarming rate with investment falling dramatically. It needs to be looking outwards and not inwards before the economy collapses.
  6. Define 'implement proper immigration policies'. Most nations already have a robust immigration policy but when you have thousands fleeing their own country or just leaving it as they see no future there, then the world has a serious problem. Maybe we should not go bombing these countries and destroying their infrastructure. Western nation generally have falling birth rates and ageing populations. The only way to keep the economy turning is either to increase birth rates which obviously takes 20 years to have any effect, or allow staff who want to work to come from other countries. Right wing politicians with an anti immigration stance see it as a way to power, but just like Brexit it ultimately costs the Country big time and those who suffer most are the ordinary population. The only way to prevent immigration is to assist the countries they leave to build an economy and way of life such they don't want to leave it. But I guarantee you if we did not allow immigration of those who wa t to work, then our economy would collapse very quickly.
  7. Racism and blaming immigrants for any Nation’s problems is a sign of a failing political system.
  8. Some posters seem to find a negative slant to everything the club does.....even on a n8ght when we have won. Forest currently being held by Blackpool. If you can't find anything positive about the club, why bother following it? Go and do something else that makes you happy.
  9. Attention seeking to fill their vacuous life, i guess.
  10. Man City can afford the best players in the world...and the best lawyers. Football is no longer a sport at the top level.
  11. You can be mid table and play off chasing in this league at the moment.
  12. Gunny went for the ball, Connolly didn't, thought the ref got that right.
  13. And still people moan. Its not exciting football by any means but when we have the full quota of players it is effective. Still at least the moaners can watch their team in blue tomorrow night.
  14. And too many on here forget that football supporting is cyclical. There will be good times and bad times. It's the way of life. I doubt Chelsea or Man U fans expected to see their teams being so bang average......but they are at the moment.
  15. Can't believe so many are still harping on about this. The facts are Farke was brilliant in the Championship (for us) and abysmal in the EPL. The worst EPL performing manager in our history. He's gone. Get over it and support the Club and team now. You can't live in the past!
  16. Wagner is very one dimensional in the way he sets up and there doesn’t seem to be a devised plan in the way we play and looking to break the opposition down. It’s what will ultimately cost him his job. as mentioned earlier if it’s successful supporters will go along with it, and if it fails they won’t. That was even the case with Farke. Many on here are forgetting the Leeds game where he lost the support of many simply because results were rubbish.
  17. Must be a fair few disappointed ‘fans’ in here tonight as they seemed to be certain we would lose 4-0 or more. Sarge is as good as any striker in this division.
  18. A lot of so called supporters are here to have a whinge, moan and post abuse to players and staff. Dread to think how vacuous their lives must be. No supporter can want their team to lose.
  19. No. Struggling to turn the best squad in this division into a consistent force. His time has gone. So many forget that without Emi his record was poor even in the Championship.
  20. For refusing to give Sunak any time, promotion or photo opportunities at Southampton.
  21. So put your money into the club and run it. It’s obvious to everyone, no doubt including Attanasio and Knapper, that Wagner is not the way forward but why sack a manager and appoint another short term manager, which will cost considerable sums of cash we don’t have, when for the sake of 4 months they can make a considered appointment that will take the club forward over the next 5 years. Knapper needs to have his own structure in place that he believes will work. Just because he isn’t facing the media weekly after just a few weeks in the job, doesn’t mean he isn’t working hard to move things forward in his way.
  22. This forum gets worse by the day. 6 weeks into the most important job in the club and already the nobheads are turning on Knapper. The last thing the club needs is another knee jerk managerial appointment because of impatient fans. Read what Attanasio said about turning his US team into a successful one. He admits he spent three years making unpopular decisions but was proved right in the end. Unless things turn really bad I can’t see Wagner being sacked until the end of the season.
  23. It is all on the manager if he doesn’t really know what he is doing. football these days is all about team organisation, a plan and getting best use of the players available. Hoping for a complete clear out of players is dangerous, extremely expensive and just isn’t going to happen. We lack a cdm and a playmaker. Adding both to the current team would make a huge difference.
