  1. The only thing Elton smashed last night was the glasses in the bar. If anyone thinks that was a decent performance then they seriously need to have a word with themselves. He was awful.
  2. Should have packed it in years ago. He sounds like Vic Reeves pub singer.
  3. Could have been a top EPL player but instead of which he is looking good in a League of, at best, League one players.
  4. Not playing to an audience of their own fans at Glasto tho are they? Any band that keeps rewriting the same song over and over is destined to mediocrity. The Monkeys don't do that. Just be thankful there are bands doing that because in ten years time your music will be written by an AI computer. Or Ed Sheeran!!!
  5. Selling out multiple stadiums everywhere. Seems most people don't agree with you.
  6. And if you think both are bad, wait til you hear Elton tonight. Lost his voice years ago!
  7. If people think Foo Fighters are better than the AMs they must be deaf. FF are pop metal by numbers. AM doing something different to anyone else.
  8. Want to be poor? Then vote Tory. Inflation remains at 8.7% meaning another interest rate rise, possibly of 0.5%. House prices are going to come crashing down. And meanwhile! UK debt exceeds 100% of GDP for first time since 1961 - ONS The UK's debt pile reached more than 100% of economic output for the first time since 1961 as government borrowing more than doubled in May, official figures show. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) says net debt reached £2.6 trillion as of the end of May, estimated at 100.1% of gross domestic product (GDP). Government borrowing soared to £20 billion in May, pushed higher by the cost of energy support schemes. May's borrowing figure was £10.7 billion higher than a year ago and the second-highest May borrowing since monthly records began in 1993. Economists had predicted borrowing of £19.5 billion for May.
  9. The coming crash in house prices and big rise in interest rates for all mortgage holders is indeed a massive ticking timebomb. we are not talking a few hundred pounds a year but potentially a few thousand in many cases.
  10. Mark Carney saying that Brexit is the root cause of the UKs deep seated inflation problem. Not difficult to understand that really. Make your market smaller means less competition means suppliers can charge higher pirces with no loss of sales. And its the Torygraph reporting it. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2023/06/16/mark-carney-interview-brexit-inflation-interest-rates/
  11. Every football club in the country has good and bad times, it's part of supporting a club. I can't imagine Man Utd supporters ever thought they would be the second team in Manchester and by some big margin. It's just the level of finger pointing and personal attacks, particularly at certain players and Webber, is very sad and indicative of a compkete lack of respect for other people which social media has inflicted on the world.
  12. So go and do something else that does make you happy. life is way to short to spend it throwing abuse across the internet to anyone who might hear you.
  13. I’m amazed sone people even think of themselves as supporters of NCFC with much of the nonsense posted on here. I sure hope the rest of their life outside football isn’t as vindictive and unhappy as their City supporting days.
  14. Some of the personal vitriol directed at him on here has been disgraceful. The man has made some big mistakes but then who has't at some point in life. Amazing how brave so many are when hiding behind a keyboard when if they said that in public they would either be arrested or on the end of a right hook.
  15. It will be Neil Adams to replace him. Presumably all those who have run Webber out of the club will be happy about that?
  16. Its always a combination that makes it work. Emi was allowed to blossom under Farke, yet when Emi didn't play the side looked half the team when he did play. Citeh still play well when Haaland, De Bruyne and others don't play.
  17. McKenna linked with Celtic too. Only a matter of time. 😂
  18. These sort of VAR decisions will make me stop watching football. Ludicrous.
  19. Swearing at an official should be an instant yellow card. If the game carries on tolerating this sort of behaviour they will soon run out of match officials to run matches. it’s endemic at youth level as well because kids see players doing it in the Tv without any punishment so think it’s ok. I have a friend who refs amateur and semi pro level and he has had to abandon matches because of the abuse he gets from players and friends and family on the touch line. He is still debating whether to continue after the last debacle and abuse and threats he received.
  20. 'Premier League teams really don't know what's in store for them next season do they?' Probably quite a few 5 or 6-0 wins when they play Luton.
  21. No it isn't. Its just the best promoted. We are getting to be more and more like the Scottish PL where its two clubs fighting it out every year.
  22. No one can keep adding debt to debt already there and hope to survive though. The EPL now have Wolves, Everton and Leicester who have broken the FFP rules. All three finished in the bottom half of the League. Aside from Leicester the other two have won nothing for many many years. Forest will be the next club to come crashing down financially. What the owners don't seem to understand is that lending money to the club isn't a one off, its a continous cycle. Debt is now much more expensive to service than it was even one year ago. Eventually one club will not be able to bail themselves out.
  23. It’s the betting companies that should be banned. Problem solved overnight. Betting serves no useful purpose. Football taking money from betting all over the place, is happy for supporters to lose their shirts, but not happy when the players being paid huge salaries financed by betting companies have a betting problem. The worst of double standards.
