1. Keep Worthy, keep Worthy. Lets have some stability, lets give him a chance next season. There is no one else I would rather have. Also, the feeling around the club from chairman to Manager to players is better than it has been for years. Should we therefore bring in Dave Bassett?
2. That song is ace. Probably the best written song I have ever written on the site. Get it in the EDP!
3. So she mad e a mistake. & yep it was a bit cringworthy like your mum getting drunk & singing to your mates. But so what, forgive & forget, we all make mistakes! Furthermore no can doubt her motives - she was simply trying to get the crowd going. She has the same aim as all of us fans - for NCFC to win games. Please guys, she is probably feeling really bad now, so please give her a break, & remember that me, you & Delia all want the same thing, so let''s stick together. Yep?
4. I see that Pederson has been transfer listed. I think he would be a great loan / buy. He was banging them in earlier this season and seems to be one of the sorts of strikers in the right place at the right time. But, gutted about about Bentley. Down to the bare bones my friends... I know we need an extra man in midfield now, but if Worthy wants one more striker like he has hinted then I think Henrik could be the man.
5. Great Post, great thought! As far as I am aware, technically you are right - remember Leon last season & the brackets below (13 for P''Boro). Pete, another one for you sir, please clear this one up!
6. He won''t. I just can''t see him coming here after all the hype about him & other clubs & turning them down - not with the green & pleasant land & Worthy onside! By the way, is it sunny in Norfolk today? - it could make the difference! Fingers well & truly X''d!!!
7. So £500k off a £3m asking price for Ashton. It helps, but we are still a way off. What has happened to him? 2 seasons ago he was IMO our best player. Remember the goals from outside the box, the overheads kicks, etc. How many did he score tht season - 15?
8. So Spurs £2m bid for Ashton has been rejected? Can we assume the price is therefore between 2.5 & 3m? How much off the price would McVeigh be? £500k Something has got to be happening with this at the moment. With McVeigh left off the bench behind Crow & Jarvis & no injury, things don''t add up. The other thing that I think may be a good sign is that Ashton is being targeted by a ''good'' club. Spurs, Man City, Villa are not ''good'' club, they are big/huge clubs as i think another poster mentioned. Also Careerwise, surely it would be best for Ashton to come here & play first team rather than play behind the more famous strikers at the other big clubs. Then there is the chance that Green will go - if not now, surely in the summer? There is £3-4m guaranteed at the end of the season. Then there is the rumour about Watling''s will. If only, but lets see! The other bit that doeasn''t add up is Worthy''s admission of who he wants to bring to the club. Why is he doing this? To tell us what he would like to do, so we don''t blame him when there is enough £ in the pot? Surely even he realises this will simply get supporters hopes up? Finally, having Sven / Leon / Hendo out injurred could well do us a favour. Anyone remember what happned last year after we played Jarvis & Hendo up front together as 1st choice in the Carling Cup. That was last year when we were Div 1. There is no option now - we need a new striker - simple as that!!!!!
9. Please do remember that this guy is only 24 (despite the fact that he looks like he should be thinking of retirement) Compare this to the age of people like McVeigh (27?) he still has time on his side to improve & has been playing in the Prem for years.
10. All very interesting. So if you are right KOL, then the deal might be: We lose Green We gain Bentley permanently, Pennant and get £1m. We use the £1m to add to the £1.2 = £2.2 We certainly would be able to afford Sutton for this. Probably less, but we could put the rest towards his wages. 2 questions: Given the amount of times Bentley states he loves Arsenal & can''t wait to get back playing for them, would he want this? Also, apparently Pennant''s contract talks have stalled, so this could be why? And does this deal mean Pennant permanantley or just as a loan? If all of ths is true, then I think it would be a sound move for the club both in the long & short term. Good work Worthy, the board  Munby. Agree?
11. "Jason extended his contract in the summer" That does not mean is un-buyable, simply that he was likely to figure in his plans in the summer, but since he has not. However, it may put his price up. £1.5? Whats his age?
12. I see he''s saying how he wants out of the valley so he can play first team football. What''s people''s thoughts of him? He may not be the most prolific in the premier league, but still pops up with goals here and there & and at a stretch we may be able to afford him????
13.
Stop Press: He''s bought this house in....... He''s signing for us in January, for £20 squillion pounds......... I saw him in Asda''s.......... My mate''s cat works at the petrol station where ''you kno...
Are you honestly telling me that this message board would be as much fun without these rumours - well founded or not? I love the rumours... believe them or not....it''s up to you Mindless speculation adds a little spice to this board along with the many "this formation would work'' posts. £3m for Robbie Keane, £1.5 Kevin Campbell, £2.7m for Ashton...it''s all good
14. On Saturday I couldn''t get this out my head: (very simple, easy to remember) Damien Francis, la la la la la Damien Francis, la...la la la la la (to the tune of Brown Girl In the ring, la la la la la, brown Girl in the ring, la...la la la la la) so it''s not the most complicated but very catchy as my girlfriend found on saturday night...
15. In which case I apologise Gazza, I just wanted to express my dream to you lot to take  it off my conscience. Maybee I have burried Megson in my garden, maybee I have taken his money, maybee I should have felt remorse, but alas no I don''t! As much as I would love to explain myself, I have have to go to the pub. A good night to you all, I will be at the Valley on Saturday for our 3 points.... believe!!!!
16. Yep, calm down Gazza! Ironically, by responding to the thread you are merely adding one more response & sending it back to the top of the board!! May be best to leave threads like this alone if they are not up to your required standards.
17. No Way Notts Canary, The only Ginger Nut I like gets frequently dunked in my tea.
18. I felt I should share this with you guys, in the hope that one of you may be able to read dreams: Two nights ago, I had a dream that I was at my parents house in Weston Longville (rural Norfolk) & I had an urge to dig up up some soil convinced I would unearth something interesting. As I clawed up handful after handful of soil, I noticed that there was something under there. I continued digging & wrestled this item out from the clutch of the soil. It was a wallet. I eagerly opened it with a curious enthusiasm. It came open & there was the driving licence of the ginger nut himself, Mr Gary Megson. I looked to see how much cash he had there.... 3 x £20 notes. I thought long & hard about what to do. I never really liked him, but then I have my morals. Therefore I took out £20 (should be enough for postage (& a beer)) & put the wallet in a jiffy bag & sent it to The Albion FC. There was no amazing ending I''m afraid - I think I then woke up. Anyway, does anyone know what this means, may symbolise, or what would you have done if you unearthed the wallet of the Megson?
19. I think this would be all good. Chris Sutton would be top of my shopping list. Come home Chris..
20. I totally agree & have made this point before. We have had this Huckerby is not a striker thread before, but I totally agree that with two goal poachers up front & him on the left we look so much more dangerous. ok, he may not track back as much as some, but just look at the results of all the 2nd halfs we have had.
21. I feel a little sorry for GD as he wanted to play at Centre Back when he came, did us a favour by going up front, let Charlton & Fleming''s partnership & now he will have have to wait for their form to drop or an injury.
22. Good post, but I would much rather they get their chance by playing very well in the reserves!!   Fingers x''d for no injuries!
23. no, it''s £1.2 total as a result of shareholders not effectively taking money out of the club by redeeming shares.
24. cheers palace fan, I too hope that the three of us stay up. Who knows, it could even be Saints, Blackburn & no disrespect to you, but after last nights performance, Fulham!
