But we neglected that in Farke’s last Prem campaign and the subsequent Championship campaigns under Smith (bar Rowe) and Wagner. Matos should’ve been playing under Smith, and then Aboh following on. Clearly the club recognises the above and with Knapper at the helm making moves back to the 2018/19 strategy. Hopefuly after Aboh, we don’t see this happen again.

I mean, that’s not close to being true. Buy I get your point, I think. Again, I’d hardly say we’re superior. Yes our attendances have been very good for 20 years. But the hint of mediocrity and they have started to fall by a couple of thousand… if you think we’d still get 25k plus after 10+ seasons of mid table championship football, you’re delusional. We’d be well below 20k too, as we were in the late 90s.

We’re not going up this season, so no need to worry! Next season though, assuming Leicester, Leeds and Saints go up, offers a fantastic opportunity. If, and it’s a big if, we keep the squad together. Mainly, Sargent, Sara, Sainz and Nunez! We’ve got the nucleus of another title winning side at this level. I fear we’ll lose at least Sargent and Sara though (I’m resigned to losing Rowe). Get the impression Sainz will have an agent ready to move him to the EPL at the slightest whiff of move too.

What I find amusing is the Norwich/Ipswich fans that claim the other set of fans are obsessed/inferior, whilst still banging on about said other set of fans. We’re obsessed, they’re obsessed. It’s called football rivalry, and it’s a good thing. Why do fans try to belittle it, or act like it doesn’t bother them, when it does? It’s not exclusive to the Norwich / Ipswich rivalry, it’s football fans in general. I majorly dislike Ipswich Town. They’re the first result I look for after Norwich. Why? Because it makes me happy when they lose. Am I obsessed? Definitely, as I am with Norwich and football generally.
