Sainz will be leaving as soon as he can and who can blame him when Hernandez is being picked over him.

Really can’t see Idah and Hwang working as a pair, both need someone else to do the dirty work and act as a foil to them. This just means neither can play to their strengths (although I still have my doubts over both of them anyhow!).

    Wagners teams are depressingly disappointing

It's just so obvious isn't it...

Wagner is in for it tonight. Bar the back four, It's a really poor, disjointed line up. There's no excuse for it, he has options to change it.

Because the person with the drum independently dictates what you sing and when you sing it.

To me the atmosphere is created by the action on the pitch. Sudden roar when we break, bad refereeing decision, shout for a penalty. That sort of thing.

I’m not against the drum particularly but it is artificial, to me at least.

But it’s not artificial atmosphere is it. It’s atmosphere, which ever way it’s produced, and having some is much better than not!

Artificial is pumping out fake crowd noise through the pa system!

I said not much better, it is marginal. I’d much prefer not to have it.  I have always considered an artificially created atmosphere to be a bit pathetic - I didn’t particularly like the drum when Ken Brown introduced it in the 80s and don’t now.

How does a drum “artificially” create an atmosphere?

The atmosphere with the drum is not much better and is horrendously artificial.  And also so bereft of any ‘tune’ other than one extremely dull and repetitive one.

I don’t know what’s happened to chants but it seems our fans only know two or three these days.

But it is better, you agree.

Nobody has stated that. However you make the absurd bleat that ANY change equates to progress. It does not. Change is determined by numerous things - not simply because some know nothing spotty herbert has little understanding of the wider world. I expect there were simillar numpties bleating because wiser heads objected to plastic pitches, the idea of heightened crossbars and the game consisting of four quarters.  "It's progress, innit "

    Codger.

I don't know. But it says bail conditions in Tilly's post so I assume its that rather than an internal affair. Perhaps our club imposed bail conditions but even if so surely that applies to the drummer not the drum?

@Satriales I think that answers your question..

If older people don't like the drum it's not because they don't like drums, it's because they recognise and remember that they didn't need an effing drum to get behind the team, so why should it be necessary now all of a sudden.

I've been to away matches where the home team has a drum and every time I come away from them thinking how embarrassing it is that they need a drum to get themselves going.

So I really think that the onus is on every person to step up their noise levels themselves and to take a bit of responsibility for the atmosphere themselves.

I know, I don't go to matches, how dare I say anything, but you mentioned old codgers, so as I qualify for that description, I guess I'm choosing to speak up for them......

Nah, it's coz they're miserable old gits.

So I suppose, everything should always stay the same and never progress. The logic of a codger.

  8. It's such a shame things seem to come in and improve things, then vanish just as quick. Some of those flag displays during the Farke era made me feel immensely proud to be a Norwich City supporter. The drum too, got loads of praise from opposition fans, so you just felt proud we were doing it.

Now it's a morgue, and Carrow Road is starting to look tired needs work. Not a great deal to be proud of at the minute. I wish the club would actively support ideas improving the atmosphere instead of their fencing sitting attitude. Scared stiff of upsetting the old codgers.

Good riddance to that stupid drum.

Only a matter of time before something like this happened. Shame the club indulged d1ck head culture to allow it in the first place

    Vive la Drum!

The sooner it's back, the better.

The atmosphere is an absolute embarrassment befitting our club currently. But you seem ok with that.
