The complete joy of the underdog winning after one of the most amazing cup comebacks ever (3 goals in the last 20 minutes and then a winner in added time of Extra Time) and then the disbelief at that decision. The so-called 'magic' of the cup! But someone decided Man Utd needed a chance to be in the final by drawing on a line so close. It could been drawn inside the boot of the attacking player who wasn't actually moving forward.
It's the integrity of the game that's been lost not just Coventry City in the semi's. I think 99% of genuine fans in the country were rooting for the underdog. The soul of the game is surely almost gone, save for the lower leagues.
A historic moment erased. A decision that epitomises the soul of football dying, caused by VAR.

This sort of debate is what leads to VAR.
It was deemed onside and a goal. End of.

We could easily lost by 3 clear goals today but for Gunn
That’s not true. We weren’t at our best, sure.

Only one reply to a Ricardo match report. Is this the quietest post match message board ever?

Sainz. Barnes. Rowe
Nunez. Sara
This is our best team.
I don’t rate ‘this’ at left back, much better further forward. ‘is’ ahead of Gibson all day long though.

Today is another game closer to the objective. So everyone should be happy. Bristol City are full of confidence and a point is a decent result. We don’t want walkover games anyway, we need to keep that hard working mentality. We were due one of these anyway, we threatened it against Plymouth. The fact we walked away unbeaten is massive kudos to the teams character. I except a similar game against Swansea.. you can’t win em’ all.
Get them out the way before the playoffs. We’re off to Wembley, I’m convinced. More than that, I can’t promise.

22 minutes ago, chicken said:I don't get this VH love in at this point. It wasn't attacking we had overall problem with, but ball retention and use. People have gone on about how Sorensen is the defensive midfielder (DM, again, NOT CDM, you don't deploy defensive midfielders anywhere other than in a central position, please don't go by FIFA...which appears to use US soccer terminology) and yet, he's brought on to push one of our most creative players further forward, and to win the ball so we can get it to said creative player and that's a negative move.
I think the real issue is who to bring off for a forward player. The choice today was Nunez which meant dropping Sara back into one of the two deeper midfield positions to accommodate Rowe. If it had been Barnes and Sara simply moved inside, I wonder if anyone would have queried it? Yet essentially, that's what happened a little while after.
So, if it had been Barnes for Rowe, with Sara switching inside, and then later on, Sorensen for Nunez - would those who are questioning it, be so confused/angry that a striker wasn't brought on?
You’re right, and what I find frustrating is that it’s always Nunez in that situation, and never McLean. And that’s not meant to be a McLean criticism, but I don’t see why he’s undroppable in every situation.

Yep.. tough game this, but if we can shift a gear we’ll win.

Draw is a fine currently, but not good for the nerves.

And our third best midfielder!

This is becoming more obvious as others (above) have noted. However at the moment it's a case of needs must - Gino out.
Hopefully he will sign a new contract and be played further forward next season.
If we don’t go up and lose Sainz / Rowe / Sarge and Gabby… there will be riots if McCallum is labelled the new attacking wide player. In my house, anyway.

I’d want to play Leicester in the play offs if we get there. Despite losing twice to them in the league.
Something around the narrative of owing them one, like we did Boro.

I think he’s already earmarked as the Rowe replacement. Exactly how the ‘production line’ should work.

Win the next two and it’s job done and rest Josh and a few others.
Bristol City are in form though, there’s still work to do.

Southampton win! Still in with a shout.
What a choke from the top 3!
Poor Uddersfield.
