Our ascendancy over our friends down the road has lasted even longer than I thought.

Since October 1998, we have played them 30 times and have only lost on 5 occasions.

Pride of Anglia - no doubt about it!

    OTBC 😁

I shared with a friend that we played our arch-rivals yesterday and won, so it's now been 15 years since they've beaten us.

His response was, "15 years? Is that even a rivalry anymore?"

Add this to your comment and I believe the answer is a firm NO. In fact, has it ever been a rivalry?

Easy. Delia and Wynnie support the Labour Party. And Labour want to stop the rich being rich. But, like all socialists, it doesn't stop them taking money when it suits. Tony Blair being a good example. There's a saying in politics that Conservatives get caught with their trousers down and Labourites get caught with their snouts in the trough.

But, if they take money when it suits them, then they’re not socialists. So your original accusation of Delia & Co doesn’t align with your conclusion of them.

However, a business owner can do whatever they want with the profits of their business.

But, on further exploration of your point, it seems that you yourself are actually coming across as a socialist, if indeed you are expecting Delia & Co to spend their money on behalf of you (for your entertainment.) Meaning, they’re rich enough to own a football club that turns a profit and you want them to spend that money on your behalf (because you aren’t rich enough to own a football club).

Give it some thought before your ego breaks free again and you start glomming together other sound bites that you found on the internet.

You poor fool. You have fallen straight into the trap Delia set for you.

    Hahahahahaha!

You’re too funny. The only fools are the one who actually believe that what you have to say has any substance.

You’re so predictable. If your messages weren’t so entertaining, you’d be forgotten.

Yes, they are lifelong Labour, the pair of them. Wynnie used to work for The Mirror for pete sake.

Do you even know how a socialist system works?

A core element of a socialist system is common ownership, which, as you know, can take various forms, including state ownership, cooperative ownership by workers and consumers, and community ownership. Common ownership aims to address issues such as economic inequality, exploitation, and the concentration of wealth and power in the hands of a few.

So, how do you square this with Delia & Co’s actions and decisions?

    Oh wait, you can’t.

Very revealing in Webber's departing interview that he stated Buendia had to be sold by the club whereas at the time it was spun as the player wanting to leave and there was nothing the club could do about it. Just goes to underscore once again the deceitful way in which Delia runs the club.

Webber also points out what anyone with insight knew at the time, but which was denied by the club, that is, Webber was working with both hands tied behind his back by the Socialists. I mean, how could you possibly successfully stay up with having spent 750K on the boy Byrum as the only signing and then next time round having to sell Buendia to fund the likes of Sargent, Tzolis, Rashica, PLM, who were never going to be up to EPL standard anyway.

Webber now says Mr Norfolk is super-ambitious. Well, let's start seeing the colour of his money then because any successful tilt at EPL survival is now reckoned at £300 million in season 1.

It’s there business. They can run it any way they want.

You are a paying customer. If you don’t like it. Go somewhere else.

And, are sure you mean socialist?

Whilst an American multimillionaire earns interest on money for shares that ought to have been bought out if only our majority shareholders would only let him whilst they waste money on lawyers to frustrate the process and themselves claim £13,612.50 Imterst each year on lower risk Preference Shares.

    Get lost!

Any rich person will tell you that making £13,612.50 a year on their investments is an utter waste of time and a loss of money. I know a moderately rich person who makes that kind of return simply by getting out of bed.

I’m always bemused why people are so keen to point a disdainful or disgruntled finger at those who are more fortunate or smarter with their money.

    Yes genuinely.

This season has been all over the place. You can blame who you like for that, Webber, Wagner, injuries or maybe a combination or something different. However for me we do have some real quality players.

Keep hold of Sargent, Sainz, Gunn, Rowe and Sara and that’s the core of a team that can fight against relegation.

You don’t need 11 stars to survive in the PL, you need a good coach, a bunch of guys who can do a good enough job and a few players who can change a game.

Get a summer right and you can give yourself a chance, it’s still a small chance, but it’s possible with the core we have.

Well said. I’ll take a pint of that.

How can you do constructive criticism at a football match? We play out at the back 3 times in a row and lose it every time , 4th time they score. Do we call the players over to the barclay for some constructive criticism.

If you think they’ll listen to you, sure. Give it a go. Or, you can just whinge about it. Your choice.

If only Norwich fans were actually like that , we wouldn't be on here , there wouldn't be a club . Webber said that once , we support our club because it's in our blood , we certainly didn't pick our club through choice.  Your way is to accept everything and keep quiet,  Delia and Michael would never have been the owners in the first place if that was the case. Delia and the board aren't beyond criticism. I would rather see a plan and some identity before worrying about play offs .

Not quite. My ‘plan’ would call for constructive criticism. Not whinging.

  10. Delia was 100% correct in her saying that 20% of the fans are winghers and there was no condescension involved. I know this because you can visit any restaurant, work place, pub, online forum, and probably many homes and find that 20% of the people (at least) in that space are whinging about something. Nothing new in that stat.

And, honestly, if those of you who are upset by her comment don’t like her, or her opinions anyway, then why waist your time whinging about her? If your response is, “she’s an old, out of touch lady who doesn’t understand that the fans are the lifeblood of the club and she ruining it” style of whinging, then it’s time to wake up. She can say what she wants because she OWNS the club. And you, as a fan, can take your hard earned pounds somewhere else. Simples.

But to hear so many people whinging about Delia whinging about a portion of the fans whinging…….hilarious!

And before someone more clever than I makes the statement that I’m whinging about people whinging about Delia whinging about fans whinging…..you could be right… 🤪

Anyway, move on. We have a playoff position to fight for.

It was a bit much watching the local news yesterday about getting all school kids to wear blue and how big a game it was.

My nephew was at the game and said it was like a world cup final to them.

We p**sed on their party which means I’ll sleep well tonight.

Can you imagine the disarray if McLean had nicked it at the end?! Oh how beautiful that would've been to witness.

I see this seems to be the current narrative across social media when it comes to binners trying to focus on the result of the match and their stick they are using right now to try and bash us with.

And you know whats funny? The complete lack of any self awareness. Prior to the match they had all the pyros out, bringing in all the local villagers to party and dance in the streets and were chanting songs about winning and quite frankly acting like it really was a cup final and like they had already won before the match had started.

And whats wrong with finding the result enjoyable? We fielded one of the weaker teams we have put out in a Derby for years, with players out of position, a midfielder in centreback, an emergency left back in, two strikers out injuried and even our captain out injured and pretty much playing somewhat of a B team. And they still couldn't beat us! They will tell you their team is the strongest Ipswich side in over a decade.. And again they STILL couldn't beat us!

So what exactly is wrong with enjoying that? If you ask me its bloody hilarious. Nevermind that I saw some being all 'they're celebrating like they won the world Cup!' When we scored. Are people not allowed to celebrate goals anymore? Are you supposed to just sit down and say 'that was indeed a goal' and show no emotion when you see your team score during a derby?

And its now been almost 15 years since they last beat us, and I dont care if it was a draw I'll happily celebrate that. And you know why?

Beacause all in all today was indeed pretty ****ing hilarious and I'll happily celebrate thinking about all the binners spending their Christmas and New Years being all grumpy and bitter about the fact that despite their claims to be the strongest team they've seen for years

    They still couldn't beat us.

    Exactly.

I am very much looking forward to playing the return game at Carrow Rd. on April 6th, with the hopes that we have a full team in full swing fighting for 3rd and pressuring for 2nd.

Who knows, maybe the lack of an expected win for Ip5hit today and not breaking the 14/15 year drought at home, and following everything you outlined above, might just be the psychological seed needed to begin the meltdown of their season!

I don’t feel we are getting value for money from a squad that averages over 30k a week each per player.

    This.

I, as any professional would, would be embarrassed at the current level of quality for what I was being paid.

(EDIT: For clarity, I am not a professional football player. My thought here is more acting and performing as a professional in any profession.)

I don’t give a crap if the strategy is off, the tactics are wrong, fitness is off, too many games in a short span of time, subs didn’t work out, etc…. Heck, I’ll even accept the lack of passion because there’s a falling out with style of play or being played out of position. But, all of that does not excuse the inability to simply pass and possess a ball competently. That is fundamental to what the players are being paid for. If I was the SD I’d tell the players that unless performances begin to improve, then their wages will begin to be docked for poor performances. They are paid to do a job, that they are simply not doing.

The players need to own the portion of responsibility that falls clear on their shoulders and be held accountable when they’re not, just like any other job.

  14. To answer the OP’s questions.

    1. No. The recent results are nothing more than deceptive. What bothers me the most is how disjointed the team became after a few injuries. The team was looking to stomp this league at the beginning of the season. Some could say that the injuries to a few key players is what has caused the disfunction, and to a degree I would agree. But the players train together, study together and play together, so why such a painful level of disjointedness during the games?

    2. For me, an embarrassingly dominating  3-0 win by Ip5hit should be enough for Wagner to have to clean his desk out.
